The Flying Goat is highly recommended by this pizza lover! I loved the thin crust that held up well to the toppings. We had the Lacrosse that had fresh mozzarella, sausage, red pepper preserves, fresh basil and shaved pecorino. It was delicious and we cannot wait to go back and try others. We also split an Italian salad that was very good along with a thin bread. We were there on a Friday night that was very busy, but that didn't hinder really good service from the bartender. This food was incredibly expensive, especially for what you received. I think it's a hip place to go with friends and share a pizza but it's not cheap. The pizza was cold when we received it. It was made well and had good flavors but if I'm paying a ton of money I don't expect to wait an entire hour for my pizza and have it arrive cold. Not happy. So I really hate to give a poor review however had our waitress/bartender not been on top of things I would have actually scored this as a 2 stars. Atmosphere.... I love the quaintness of this place. However today it was interrupted by the manager talking on the phone pacing back and forth in the bar area. I know servers hate people on their phones being disrespectful when dining... This I feel goes both ways. I expressed my dissatisfaction to our waitress which I know she had no control over... She did share it with the manager who was on the phone and he did come over to apologize and said he was working on computer issues and had to go point to point... However to be completely honest I never saw him ever touch a POS computer the whole 30 plus minutes. He also tried to take credit for giving our appetizer as a courtesy when our waitress had already done that before even talking to him (sad face) Service... Our waitress was great I would have thought she was the manager because she was truly directing staff but when I asked what her position was I was surprised when she said just a bartender. Food/drinks ... Well I was a little disappointed that there were a limited number of local draft beers. The Dumplings were great like always. My husband thought his sandwich was just ok... I have to drop it for service though to a 1. Our waitress was unsmiling, quick to disappear and never asked us how our food was or came to see if we needed more of anything. We tried to get her attention to get more water, unsuccessfully. We were two adult women and a twelve year old boy. Totally ignored. We noticed other tables received very pleasant service and she was chatty and friendly with them. She dropped our ticket at the table, took my credit card and left. Recently visited the Flying Goat with my family while visit Spokane. Wanted to try it like most people, thought the name was interested. Ambiance: relaxed almost like an upscale pizza joint. Rustic metal walls and woodwork around the patio brings a certain charm. Not romantic by any means but has a nice family upscale decor about it. Service: Service was adequate and acceptable. Greeted immediately after entering the front door. Sat within a few minutes due to a small wait. Server did a decent job and got the service we expected. Food: We really wanted to enjoy our time here but this is where the Flying Goat fell short. Food was subpar. Crust was way too thin. I have seen thin crust but I couldn't even cut it with a dinner knife. Maybe it was overcooked or something. Pizza crust must be great to have a successful pizza joint. read more

Went there with the whole family, got some A Street chips to share with everyone, a pizza to split with my wife and the kids all got there own cheese pizzas. Even after drinks it all came out under $90 before the tip. The wait staff was efficient and friendly, food tasted great, awesome beer selection, even sitting outside with it being 90 degrees didn't feel bad thanks to the mister system they had. Inside had a nice atmosphere to it thanks to the toned down lighting. All in all this was a really cool place to go!
