This is a great brewery in Spokane. They have lots of different food options along with a great beer selection. I ordered their smash burger and thought it tasted very good. My husband ordered their cuban sandwich, which was also tasty. The inside is a very large space. They also have outdoor space where you can bring your dog. We stopped in here this afternoon because of the reviews and the name: "Brewing". Because we are fans of beer and the menu posted on Yelp showed an extensive beer menu. They have a huge very nice outdoor seating area and it was a beautiful day which was another reason we decided on this place. I like the decor, very simple but modern looking. The two waitresses behind the bar were very friendly and helpful. Which brings me to strike #1 and that is you have to order from a bar , take a number and they bring you your food. I went back later to ask for water and the waitress directed me to the self serve water. Ordering and self service is not one of our favorite set ups (Strike #1). I was disappointed that they didn't have an amber (strike #2) which one of the reviews said was good so I settled on one of their IPAs and it was good, just not what I really like. I ordered the Cuban with fries and the beet salad, both were excellent. The fries were crisp and tasty but they only had dipping sauce and I prefer catsup which I should have asked for but didn't because I didn't want to make another trip inside to the bar. Not really a strike against them, though. The salad had just the right amount of beets, feta cheese and arugula and a wonderful vinaigrette. My husband had chicken wings with the Golden Carolina sauce and he said they were dry and he's somewhat a chicken wings expert since he orders them almost every restaurant we frequent. So then the matter of how much to tip. Do you really need to tip 20% (my usual) when all the waitress did was take my order and bring out the food, no one came around to ask if the meal was good or if we needed anything (Strike #3). All in all I liked the restaurant; great food and good selection of beer; but hubby did not. So if I do return it will probably be with a friend and not my husband. read more

First time visiting this brewery and I'm glad I finally did! This is a really cool space! The location has a nice outdoor seating area, the decor inside is modern and inviting, they have board games, arcade games, big TVs, and lots of seating area! The staff were all nice. The food didn't come out super quick, but we were there to hang out for a while so it wasn't a big deal. Plus, they were super busy. We ordered a flight to try the beers, and did restaurant week menu to try some of the food. The beers were good, not the best I've ever had, but they were still good. I did really enjoy the guava. It was like a sour, but also hoppy. Really great balance. I got the pork taquitos to start, they were good and the sauce they were served with was also good. I will say they looked and tasted just like the frozen ones at the store. For my entree i got the Nashville chicken sandwich. It was alright, the pickles on it were delicious! The fries were pretty tasty as well. I don't think I'd order this chicken sandwich again, but it hit the spot well enough. Arrived at around 4:45pm. Very hard to find this place on Google Maps. The four things I wanted to try from their online menu no longer exist. The atmosphere was very harsh, lots of large families with toddlers in pajamas running around. Very small bar area. I settled on a Nashville Hot Chicken sando it was OK at least it was cooked all the way through but was more like a not very spicy buffalo chicken. Parking is impacted. The food was excellent. I had pulled pork sandwich. They have gluten free options. Oddly, they don't have table service even though there was only 2 other customers. It's kind of like a cafeteria. You go to the back of the restaurant and order then they bring out your food. If you need anything you have to go ask them, they don't check on you like a regular restaurant or even acknowledge you if they are walking by. You also have to buss your own table. Because the food was so good and gluten free, I would still go back now that I know what to expect. It was large with lots of seating and clean. Uprise is a newer brewery that opened up in Spokane from my last visit there a few years ago. I love the taproom as it is very fresh and sleek looking. It's also a very popular brewery and parking was a slight challenge but nothing that I wasn't willing to see all the way through. I had their Guava Gose which was a pretty decent Gose as far as that goes. What usually happens is I haven't had a Gose in a while and when I finally do I realize I wish I had one sooner. Flavor highlights with this beer are tartness, sourness, fruitiness, saltiness and of course the guava itself. Nice beer overall and well handled with it's complexity. Would be interested to try out some more of their beers for sure. read more

The place is very spacious, with two floors, and ample outside seating. Dog and kid friendly, this is a great place to come for a group hangout. I really want to like this place. I've been there 4-5x's . The beer is good but the food is way below average. I get it's a brewery and food is a plus. The last couple times I ordered a rice bowl for $17-20. Both times it came to me with dry meat a scoop of rice and looked like a mess. I gave a 4 stars because I don't think they are doing it on purpose just I think they're not paying attention because of the brewery thing. read more

This place is clean and the staff are really nice and considerate. They have fun games you can play too. I had a burger, it was cooked perfect but the meat could have been more flavorful. We came here on a cold wintery night. The place had about 10 people there. It's a nice, clean place. You order your beer and food at the counter. The employee was very nice. We had their taco special since it was taco Tuesday, a bowl, forgot what kind my daughter got, chicken tenders and I got the taquitos. Everything was very good except for finding a nice size bone in one of my taquitos. I was lucky I found it instead of breaking a tooth or choking on it. I brought the bone to the employee and showed her, telling her to please let the cook know to be aware it was in my food and to be more careful. Other than that this place looks nice and I'm sure the outdoor patio in the summer is nice. They do have a few arcade games. The bathroom was very clean. This was our second visit to Uprise, but our first visit bringing our pups and sitting on the patio. It was so awesome! The patio is clean and comfortable. They even have dog bowls to fill up water outside for the pups. Our dinner was perfect and delicious just like the time before. There were several other tables with well behaved dogs and no issues whatsoever. Its so nice to have a place to relax and have a meal and beer away from home where everyone in the family feels welcome. The atmosphere was so perfect for a warm summer evening. New brewery to our neighborhood and tonight was our first time checking it out. We loved it! You order, they pour your beers, and then you seat yourself...outside on picnic benches or tables seating 4 if you have dogs or wanna play some Cornhole. There's shade over the picnic benches and some cute doggos...make sure if you bring your dog it's on a leash, nice, and not loud. We were getting a drink and snacks before taking my aunt to the airport to catch a flight after missing hers 2 hours earlier. We checked on our food (I think with one of the owners) just to make sure we got it before we had to head to the airport and he was on it super quick and brought it right out for us. The beer was great...I think those who know beer better than I do would especially love it. The snacks (fries and chips & salsa) were great...perfectly cooked fries, a delicious aioli to dip, thick & crunchy chips, and some bomb af salsa...seriously what do you guys use in that salsa?!! It was soooo good. So to sum up: awesome atmosphere, very helpful server/owner, great beer, and delicious food. Baked fries from an elementary school cafeteria I shit you not. Seating is uncomfortable and the space is cavernous and "modern" which means lots of hard, easily-cleaned surfaces, and absolutely nothing anywhere that could potentially evoke a human emotion or response. Tiny little vase at each table with a single stem and leaf whisper of a once verdant Earth long since buried under polished concrete, carefully packaged and ready for its debut in alien unboxing videos. read more

This place popped up on my "food nearby" maps so I decided to try it out. When I arrived, there was only one other table so I can't attest to how the service is when it's busy, but the lady who helped me was very nice, welcoming and informative to the beers/menu. I'm a hot chicken sandwich connoisseur so I ordered the Nashville Spicy Chicken Sando w/ the house salad. It was delicious, a true Nashville style sandwich with lots of flavor. My favorite part was how saucy it was but the bun didn't get soggy at all. The house salad and vinaigrette was delicious and the yellow peppers were a nice touch. The atmosphere seemed nice and they had a couple TVs playing sports. (No music though, which I found interesting but didn't mind). We found out about Uprise Brewing while at another local business that owns this one. Let me preface this review by stating we try breweries everywhere we go that has one . This one just happens to be in our hometown, no favoritism given for that fact. Our first flights were as follows, Bright side IPA, Chromatic IPA, Color Theory Cold IPA (my favorite), Static Waves Hazy IPA, Hypervison Juicy IPA and Steady Juicy IPA. Yes, they are all IPAs of one iteration or another, but so similar in tastes that they ran one into another with no obvious winners. Next we tried the Helles Lager, a definite German Lager, Vienna Amber Lager, a cross of Pilsner and Amber flavors, lastly the American Stout, I didn't get the chocolate, but a toasty coffee was definitely there. These last three would be my go to if this were a regular stop for us. Time will tell with more beer recipes under their belt it could become a contender with other more established breweries. The taproom is spacious with both ground floor and a loft area. Plenty of seating to enjoy with friends or family while watching a game or catching a quick meal. Off street as well as on street parking available. Prices are comparable to other local breweries in the Spokane area. There is something for everyone on their beverage and food menus. Well we were excited to try this place and it was busy so felt like it would be great. Boy were we wrong. First we sat upstairs where apparently you have to clean your own table, get your own silverware, napkins and water. Then you go downstairs and order where they ask you for a tip... not sure why since I served myself. We ordered chicken wings, sandwiches, and salads. Every single hot item came out cold. We had to walk it back downstairs. Back it came five minutes later. Not re fired but heated in microwave and one of them still cold. Sent it back one more time where server explained the microwave process! When you are paying this much for food. Frankly should be better and not re heated in microwave. What we did eat was average at best. There are so many good restaurants in this area. I would not recommend this one. read more

My second visit today and it was just as glorious as the first. They are a special group over here. I know they are new and making their mark....but it's really hitting the spot. The staff is so attentive here that it's mind blowing. You walk inside and order beer and food at the counter. What's different here is this brewery is not doing the usual burger and fries. This brewery serves ferocious salads and lovely bowls both vegetarian and meat options. Today we tried the ginger jackfruit bowl and the jerk chicken. We both loved our choices. My jackfruit was much more garlicky than ginger but that may have been the salsa. It didn't matter though. It was a huge bowl that neither of us could finish and we both adored. Our beers were perfect and so flavorful. You can sample first before you choose. I can't say enough about the IPAs. That Title Pending won me over already. Hey Packers, there's a new title town and they are coming in strong. Outdoors has a great seating area where you can bring your dogs and you can play a game of Bags. Yes Bags. I'm from the midwest....but if you're not then cornhole it is. I'm hoping you'll make this brewery your next stop....if not for the beer do it for the food. Get in here. read more

Huge fan of this brewery. Modern feel, excellent kitchen and phenomenal beers, the arcade games are a huge plus. Had the beet salad and the Nashville chicken sandwich. All the beers, and we tried about half the menu, had vibrant flavors and crisp finishes. The beet salad was perfect, arugula was crisp, beets, cheese and dressing portioned well and the pepitas seeds gave it a great texture, the Nashville chicken sandwich was the best ive had in Washington. The sauce was the perfect spice and the lemon mayo and pickles gave it a zesty bite. Definitely plan to visit again, their menu shows a lot of collabs with other breweries and I cant wait to see what they do next. read more

Very disillusioned, this place was so not what was advertised. First you have to walk up to order which isn't the worst but when you pay they have preset buttons for a tip, the lowest being 18%.... We get our food, we ordered the fries and some horrible dipping sauce. The sauce was full of vinegar and possibly cumin, not good at all. Them at the end of our visit we had to bus out pie table, that is why I w so annoyed about the bus I was asking for a tip. They didn't do anything, the fries weren't even cooked completely! I just am done with this setup of ordering my food and then doing most the work, I go out for a reason and it's to not have to do the dishes.. very subpar! read more

Nice place, and the food looked good, but there are a couple of things I take issue with: If you choose not to drink, a can of soda is $3, and chips and salsa (which is a handful of chips on a swanky plate) and salsa is $6. I understand marking up products, but it seems exorbitant for what I received. If I pay $3 for soda, refills should be available, and the amount of chips should be more than a super-light snack. read more
