Hubby and I went for dinner one Saturday night. We were promptly greeted, seated within a few minutes at a 4-top. While waiting we struck up a conversation with another couple and got some advice on dishes. Seeing they had no seat and nobody looked to be vacating theirs anytime soon, we invited them to join us. This simply enhanced our experience. The service was excellent, the artisan pizza was fantastic, and the appetizer was really tasty. Disappointed in recent changes at this establishment. First, no physical beer menus available. Not a problem unless you have poor phone service, or due to software changes your phone stalls on the internet. Next, the sandwich that my wife and I drive 20 miles to come for has changed to a mostly bread number with a thin layer of filling. Their food is not all that. This place is only hype and that is all. I would honestly rather stop at Chuck E Cheese and get a pizza from there instead. Ordered a few pizzas for work and was not thrilled. Got the breadsticks and they were nothing special. The sauce was just your basic Ragu sauce from a can. A few sprinkles of cheese on top and they charge you $15 bucks for it. Now, the pizzas have cool names and all but the quality is meh. Kiernan pizza was just a bunch of leaves on top. No flavor at all. Burnt crust and just has no body. So flat and thin, makes it impossible to feel like a pizza. Had another pizza called Dalton and it was also nothing special. Overwhelming with all the pork. No balance at all with all the other toppings they added. I just feel this place is trying to hard with the "gourmet" pizza and piling high the leaves and fancy herbs which doesn't always do the trick. Only reason I give this place two out of five is because they still managed to have our takeout order hot and another star for good custumer service on the phone and when we got there to pick up the food. read more

I went here with a group of friends for a going away . Our waitress was so great and so attentive . I ordered the Nat Arugula salad- Arugula tossed with lemon parmesan vinaigrette, served with chicken, roasted asparagus and tomato for $ 12 and added the Parmesan bread for an extra $2.50. It was very good. The lemon juice really makes the salad pop and the chicken and bread give it more heft. I really enjoyed the grilled tomatoes. Hey so really good pizza, we drove 45 minutes out of our way to try this pizza, and it was great. Hot and fresh ingredients. Cool menu with lots of twists on what you would find in a regular pizza. Service... "0"....the server treated us like a joke. Couldn't suggest anything, said she hadn't tried it; which isn't a big deal. But just blew off our table. Then when finally flagged her down... (oh let me add it wasn't busy... open tables, lots of staff) when we flagged her down; I ordered a watermelon cider. Which she never brought. After the appetizers arrived I ordered the same drink a second time. She said yes, then never brought it. When food came asked her again for the same drink. She said yes and never came back. Finally when the check arrived; I said, "none of those ciders I ordered are on there are they?" She said "nope!" And walked away. Just obviously someone who couldn't be bothered by the customers. As a small business owner, I know her type and it's toxic for businesses. Three stars awarded because the pizza was good. This was our first restaurant since moving to Spokane: Called to order food to go on a Friday night, was told 35 minutes and it was ready a little later, but that is not a problem, staff was upfront about the computer issue they had. Food was 4/5, hot and lots of flavor. I come from a big city so high standards to earn a 5. Definitely will be coming again. read more

I have been to the Goat many, many times and for some reason haven't reviewed so here we go... I really like the Goat and especially love to sit by the fire on the patio. Everything I've had here is pretty good and they have a nice beer selection but I wouldn't say it's the best pizza in Spokane, especially for the price. All of the pizzas are really tasty though and they have a delicious veggie sandwich as well. If you order an appetizer I highly recommend the Dumplings, they are magical. Skip the pretzel though, that thing is just plain sad. Be forewarned, this place is almost always packed, especially on the weekends so if you come at a peak time, expect a long wait because it's a tiny restaurant with a huge following. read more

One tip: Call ahead to be put on the waitlist. We figured that out too late but the 45-minute wait was well worth it. We ordered the Cora artisan pizza and the Webster salad. Both were full of flavor and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. The warm cinnamon sugar fry bread dipped in the butterscotch caramel sauce was a perfect way to finish the evening. My husband and I moved here in December and The Flying Goat has been one of our go to spots since discovering it. We always sit in the bar area and the staff has always been super friendly and helpful with the menu. We've tried a few different pizzas and they were amazing. Definitely some different flavor combinations but worth a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. My husband really likes the stew. I've taken few bites and it's really good. Highly recommend the D Street pizza!! It has a yellow coconut curry base with chicken, potatoes, and a Sriracha drizzle. Sounds weird but somehow it works and it's absolutely delicious! The Waikiki (basically a spin on Hawaiian pizza) is also really good. The crust was perfection - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. #432 to review! This sure speaks volumes about how incredible this restaurant has been received. Our first visit... From Washington DC. On our way to Couer D'Alene. Loved the rustic atmosphere. Got there around 115. Patio was busy but we chose to eat inside. A couple of tables and the bar was full. It took about 11 minutes for someone to take our order which was surprising. Imagine my surprise when Hank, our server, profusely apologized right away and offered to buy our first round of drinks. We sure didn't expect that and would not have caused a stink but we were so impressed by his take charge approach. We split the most incredible spinach salad with pepita seeds/strawberries and goat cheese, quinoa & walnuts. Honestly, I think it is one of the best salads I've ever eaten! Oh the pizza... not enough accolades to say how outstanding this pie tasted. We have the Kerri Lynn Margherita & proceeds go towards someone they obviously care very much about. The food and character of the establishment is very nice. It's one of those quirky spots you find on a road trip, or a pass through some town. Both of which are cool to experience, and the flying goat rings of those. Great selection of food and a wide variety of a menu. There's also a tasteful range in drinks - from the local taps and wine list to the traditional imports, you can't go wrong. My last piece, and reason for 4 stars, this place lacks heavily in personality. As someone who often scoffs at Spokane's attempts to become hipster, I do love me some flying goat pizza. First of all, this place has some of the funkiest pizzas you've ever tried. But- they're all pretty good. As a vegetarian, my options are limited. You can order pretty much anything without meat. One pizza is my go-to, it comes with a creamy sauce, asparagus, and mushrooms (DEFINITELY A GO!!!!!!). My family likes the one with potatoes, and they recently tried the curry pizza as well. Everything comes with its own wild and new tastes, and as far as I can tell they all work out pretty well. Definitely get the homemade chips as an appetizer! They come out hot and freshly fried up. Another tip-the selection of beers and ciders is 100! I tried a couple local Spokane ciders, and I was very surprised at how good they were. Cider was definitely a great couple to my bites of crazy pizzas. read more

This place is so good. The pizza was phenomenal. It was cooked to perfect, the South Hill was a very savory flavor but the prosciutto was so good and the cheese and sauce. And the Fairview was bomb. I was hesitant of the pears being too sweet but it was a perfect mix of flavors. The wings were out of this world. They were cooked so bomb and we got the medium spice I believe it was 3/5 on the spice scale but 4 would've being delicious.
