This place is awful! My husband and I went here one weekend day for breakfast, and I ordered pancakes and bacon for breakfast. I still haven't figured out how they solidified dirty dishwater, but that is what the "pancakes" on my plate tasted like. After three bites I couldn't eat any more. i have been out of Wabash for almost three years and I cannot lie that I am shocked this place is still open! I actually really liked, but a lot of people hated it. I was a regular to say the least, but I am weird. They had great skillets for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. The only marinara they had was meat marinara and that was weird for my vegetarian friend that got cheese sticks...he was not happy. How can you mess up breakfast??? Example 3 eggs over easy get the plate and they over hard. Order a veggie skillet no mushrooms and hash browns crispy. Get skillet loaded with mushrooms and hash browns NOT crisp. Then put creamer in the coffee and it curdled. Stumbled across this place looking for somewhere to eat lunch and it was exactly what you'd guess it was from the outside - dinery sort of menu, kind of run-down and dingy as far as atmosphere goes. But the food was solid - good French dip and the curly fries were like Arbys, but much better to me. I stood at the door for quite a while, because there was a menu stand and no "seat yourself" sign, leading me to think they would seat me. After nobody acknowledged me for about 5 minutes, I asked someone bussing the tables if I was supposed to just seat myself and he told me I could sit wherever I wanted. Still took a few minutes to get waited on - but once I did, my server was quite good - friendly, efficient, didn't let my drink run out, etc. read more

Great big tasty American breakfasts, friendly waitresses who call you hon, and it's cheapo.

One of the few places in Crawfordsville to get a decent breakfast, and one of two places that serves breakfast all day. The food is at par, the service is ok, definitely not the cleanest and would even classify this place as a breakfast dive but I've never had a bad meal here. I always seem to get a table pretty fast, and the waitresses do a decent job of making sure you have everything if the place isnt busy. Sundays are the busiest days. read more

I'll admit I was weary to try this place at first because rumors but I'm glad I did. I will say you have to be there when the right employees are there. This is my favorite place in town to get breakfast. I don't live in Crawfordsville but during each of my visits I make it a point to eat at the Forum because of the hometown feeling I get each time. Never have had a bad meal here, love the breakfast menu and they have a killer BLT. My husband says their Forum Burger is the best in town and usually doesn't stray from that. Love the crinkle fries too. But...the real reason for a lower rating are the flies...the last time we were there...approx 3wks ago...we could barely eat because we were batting flies and we weren't the only ones. To me, that is a health issue that certainly needs to be addressed. We have not been back since. We don't have this problem in any other place in Crawfordsville...guess we will have to wait until cold weather when the flies die off. Service is average and can be slow if they are busy, which we can deal with but when you ask for extra napkins when the food came and you see your waitress chatting it up with customers and other wait staff behind the counter in upwards of 10-15 min., then I have an issue with that. We finally asked the guy cleaning tables and he immediately got them for us. Our waitress never did come back except to give us our bill. We've had better service from others waitresses. read more

People in this town who give the Forum good reviews must not recognize quality! Almost everything they serves was frozen and prepackaged, processed food. My husband ordered shrimp Alfredo. The sauce was tasteless and soupy. The shrimp was undercooked and was also unseasoned. It tasted like a bad 99 cent TV dinner. I ordered chicken and noodles. They weren't good. Nothing special about them at all, and they had also been frozen. The vegetables all came straight out of a can. Breakfast food there isn't so bad though, probably because it is made fresher. I'm amazed at how much business this place gets because the quality of their food it very poor. If I am paying $12 for a pasta dish I expect for some care to go into cooking it. read more

I tried this establishment again after a couple of years. Needless to say, the food I think has gotten worse. I cannot understand how this place gets so much business. I got a turkey sandwich with chicken dumpling soup this time. My turkey seemed old, and it was served on wheat bread that looked like it was purchased in the generic section at the local store. The soup was greasy and the chicken in it was all dark. My husband got the special, BBQ sandwich with cole slaw and fries. The cole slaw was in chunks, where they brought it with a spoon (I think this was a clue), the BBQ could have been good, but it was so dry you could barely choke it down. It was pricey I thought for a lunch that could have been so much better. The only good thing about this lunch date was our waitress. She was so kind. If you want a good lunch or supper, I would not recommend this place. read more

I'm tired of my reviews being taken down by yelp. This makes me wonder if I can even trust their website on the correct reviews if they are going to pick and choose which review they are going to keep on their website , with that being said, again, the forum is the best restaurant in town. Everything that I have ordered there has been good ,if not delicious. I have been coming here for yrs and their breakfast is amazing(haystack) and their dinner items are great as well. ( club sandwiches, lasagna,Manhattans and their soups are usually always delish). The decor is not the greatest so if you can look over that, then I think you will really enjoy it. Older generation food. Tastes bland and may possibly be served from a serving table as opposed to freshly prepared. But I haven't invited myself into the kitchen to look. Prices are good. If you want original food that is full of taste and is out of the ordinary, don't go. If you want a plate of food that you can't tell the chicken from the green beans from the bread, head on in. First off the food is good. The management is a joke. The owner talks down to employees in front of customers calling them names and such. I've heard on these on many occasions. It's sad. The lady that's in charge is also rude to people. Needless to say I have quit going here and I tell everyone that mentions this restaurant to me what I have personally seen and heard. Food = SUCKS - the chili is form a can, that you can get from Aldi`s. the cheese Omelet = rubber tasting - the cheese is like its from a bag, turns to rubber when heated the only thing that they have going for them, is the beef Manhattan - sometimes Its a place to go for coffee and just egg`s in the breakfast time. Just do not ORDER the Cheese omelet or anything with cheese . its from a bag and turns to rubber. the chili Dont order it, its not fresh, its aldi`s bought canned. if they want good food, they needs to stop buying canned food, like veggies, use sliced cheese in stead of cheese from a bag, and make there own chili, instead of opening it from a can, and heating it up.. as for the rest of the food, dont have a clue, it might be good. but then again, a cheeseburger might have bagged cheese on it. so, have not ordered a burger and dont think of going back anytime soon... I also heard that the Kitchen needs a GOOD CLEANING, and from when i walked in, i could smell, something was off, when i walked, thru the hallway area back to the bath room. it didnt not smell right, the bath room smell like musty cover up smell. but at least it was clean. the hallway area is where i could smell that the kitchen was not that clean. im sure they didnt get under the counters or in the corners, where food and grease can build up and be over looked. the glass`s that the water was brought in seen better days and same for the glass`s the soda was brought in. not old, just over used .. some of the staff seemed rude in the way the came to the table`s. yes they new the people they was waiting on, but that still does not give them the right to act the way they do, these people pay there wage`s. and should be treated better then that, the server my wife and i had was ok, sub par at best. could of used a bit more pep . but being a waitress gets kinda old going thru the same thing day in and day out. or having to do someone else job, because they are more worried about there phone or if they brought extra make up for later. as i seen two of the waitress`s doing .. while they waited on food, from the back.
