Be aware that if you think booking this venue will help you save money, I assure you it might not be the case. Before you book, be aware that... - The venue no longer provides help in the set up of tables and chairs (they did previously) - You must do the set up, tear down and clean-up for your whole event (for full service caterers, they may clean up their portion of the venue use, but otherwise everything else is on you and who you delegate) - Their decor allowances are quite strict (no tape anywhere, no blowing bubbles down the aisle, no fog machines or anything of the like inside and more strict on what you can do outside, etc.) - They made lots of structural changes to their courtyard area, make sure you visit before your wedding as this may change your decor plans (and there are no updates on this type of info) - If you book a Saturday event during wedding season, be warned you will not be able to enter their dressing rooms until after their farmers market has ended--which means you'll need to stay close to the venue or get a hotel/airbnb for you, friends, guests as needed (hair/makeup or showers for folks helping you set up) - During our event, all the mics they made available to us died (once in the middle of the ceremony, once during our thank you speech, once during a toast...) - They also did not set up a projector screen after multiple confirmations with us (only they are allowed to set this up) If I were to do it again, I'd recommend just investing that time and money you'd be spending here on a venue that does more of it all-inclusively. You'll be able to spend more time with family, friends and enjoy yourself more on your wedding day. This is a great venue for smaller parties, keeping decor very simple or larger parties with buffet style dinners.

The highlight of working with this venue is Joanna. She is so incredibly warm and welcoming and focused on creating the event you want. She was available all the time and always answered emails and phone calls promptly. She is flexible and happy to meet and show you around and walk the grounds with you. She also suggested my amazing planner, Julia Pavlovski of Wedding Wise Seattle, and for that I am forever grateful (sorry, shameless plug, but it really was such a great recommendation). When I arrived to Robinswood on the day of, overwhelmed by everything that was going wrong (sooooo many things went wrong) Joanna saw me and gave me a giant hug and it really reassured me that she and the team were going to make sure everything in their power went perfect. And they did. The space is intimate. They say that they can fit over 200 people, but I wouldn't suggest it for over 100-125 as I feel you'd be quite cramped. We wanted an outdoor wedding and as it rained (even though the forecast was only 10% chance!!) on our big day, having the log cabin and awnings was a great relief for ourselves and our guests while the teams were prepping the reception area. The grounds are unique. I am actually a huge fan of the flow from ceremony garden area to cocktail/dancing area to reception area. It kept everyone organized and in one place. Additionally, their staff for day of is really great. We got compliments about the bartender and serving staff. I would say the things to be aware of is a lack of flexibility on their policies. Their policies are their policies and there isn't wiggle room, so if you were hoping to work with a specific caterer who isn't on their list, or serve liquor, or do a sparkler send off, etc be prepared to nix those ideas. In a way, it actually does make it easier for a bride to make decisions by narrowing down the options (trust me future brides, a million options is not always a good thing), but for people who have a very very specific idea in mind, talk to Joanna about those specific ideas before signing your contract to ensure detail you have in mind is allowed. Over all, we are very happy with Robinswood House. It was great for our perfectly imperfect day!

Plenty of street parking, at least on a Sunday evening, and easy street-level entry. Pass through a small lobby space and find yourself in a delightful, square-shaped room with tall ceilings, cozy lighting and a feeling of warmth. A kitchen is available for use to the renters, as is a small stage atop which can be found a standing piano, whose sounds carry beautifully throughout the establishment. The room is large enough to host a number of people, tables, chairs, etc.; yet contained enough to feel warm and full.

As I walked past tables filled with art for sale I looked around the place and thought it was charming. Never again did I think back to the venue until I needed one and my original plans felll through. This was the only place I was going to get hitched at because it was all I needed. While it is rather simple inside, it has charm and potential. The main room is the perfect size for small to medium sized gatherings (it can fit 150 seated people). You have a clean slate to work with, all white walls, a stage, and hardwood floors, and the size is manageable enough that you don't feel overwhelmed. The price is very reasonable considering the cost of other venues. Many similar venues were higher in price. You rent by the hour and included in the rental are tables, chairs, and use of the kitchen. There is a coat room which was converted into a dressing room for my event and the yard to the side of the building is spacious. Another positive is the venue allows dogs inside. The best thing about the clubhouse? Sheila, the venue coordinator. I can't praise her enough! She responded to my e-mails in a timely manner and answered all of my many questions. She was always available to let me view the venue when I was in the planning stages. I couldn't have asked for a better venue to get married in. It fit my now husband and I's vision of having a fun relaxed DIY wedding.

Nelda was super prompt in responding to me (major cookies and points here), friendly, and didn't just want to throw numbers at me. My fiance and I scheduled a tour of the place and Nelda showed us every nook and cranny, and was more than happy to answer all of our questions. Very reasonable rental prices (in comparison to all the other wedding venues out there) and Nelda is very up-front about any optional/additional costs. I am not a bridezilla, but I do expect a professional attitude and level of interest from someone acting as a vendor on one of the most important days of my life, and I am happy to say that thus far, the communication process and tour of the space has been perfect; I cannot wait to have my wedding here next spring, and I will surely return with another review.

They also had some large portable fans on the stage if needed but we did not need them on our wedding day. The staff was very hands-off. We scheduled a tour twice and sometimes it seemed like they were not expecting us. I think it was because someone was on their way out of the job and some things needed to be communicated. They were very flexible about letting us come in to look at the place for a second time with our wedding coordinator and set out chairs and tables to see what it would be like, they basically left us alone and said we could leave whenever we were finished. They have one larger room upstairs to be used as a bridal suite, and then one smaller room downstairs that seemed too small to be a second bridal suite. I ended up letting the groom/groomsmen get ready in the main, larger bridal suite, then us ladies got ready at my friend's house, and then we told the guys to leave when we were on our way and that worked out pretty well. I had about 120ish people at my wedding and it was pretty tight when the tables were out, like my husband and I could barely walk across to get to our table and people had to stand and scoot in. During there ceremony, it was perfectly fine. The main thing that was an issue for me is that they do not have a dumpster that we could use and expected us to haul our own trash out after the wedding reception. They charged quite a lot of money if we were to leave trash for them to dispose of. I think that was the most stressful part, and they also said that we can't dump garbage in the neighboring dumpsters. This was the only reason for me taking off one star. Otherwise, I loved this venue for my wedding!

In fact, she was up late the night before pressing linens and when I arrived an hour early (which she okayed even though it wasn't within the allotted) she and an assistant were already out setting up chairs and tables. In general, I found that Marylou was extremely dedicated to seeing that my vision for the day happened. She had a lot of expertise on how to handle logistics and make sure everything was actually doable, and then she did so much to help execute it on the day of. The only thing that upset me was that I didn't know upfront that I had to buy wedding insurance. It cost about $150 which wasn't terrible, but it was just one more thing to pay for and the bills really added up. Lastly, the bridal room and the reception tent are top notch. The bridal room is equipped with great lighting, four giant full-length mirrors, a bathroom, curtains for changing, a mini-fridge, and glasses for drinks! The tent has a great dance floor, the cutest lighting, and even fans built in to the ceiling. Marylou also has furniture like a bar and cake table which were very handy. I would recommend this venue to anyone that wants an outdoor wedding in the Seattle area.

My sister in law had her wedding here and the lady who ran the place was nuts. After the ceremony we had to pick up our chairs and place them at our tables, than when the music started she had a decibel meter and she kept making the DJ turn the music down. She made the bar tender ID people and told them that only they are allowed to give drinks. Than she tried to shut us down an hour early. After the night was over she than again asked people to take there chairs to the area where she stores them. This was the WORST VENUE EVER!! Please save your money and go somewhere else.
