I ordered a wreath from The French Bee, however, I never received it. I tried reaching out numerous times via email and phone. They never responded to any messages I left. I'm not sure if they are still even in business. If they are in business though, I definitely would stay away from ordering from them unless you have money to throw away. For those who have never been, it is somewhat an eclectic mix of furniture, assesories for the home, vaious dried flowers and nick nacks. Imagine a large country English estate, like Downton Abbey and all the wonderful odds and ends that make up a room -- but more current. Well, that's The French Bee. This place is beautiful. Whenever my boyfriend is getting his hair cut at the place next door, I wander in here and buy little gifts for my mother-in-law, who has the taste of an interior decorator and would adore this place. Last time we got her a bunch of cloth gift bags and an 18k gold tiny photo frame. It's precious and she loved it. I'll have to get a photo of it and add a photo later. read more

It's a very impressive store with all kinds of French country style home decor. Lots of very real looking fake flowers, chandeliers, rustic furniture, lamps, vases, paintings, accessories and more. However, it is very expensive and the personnel isn't very friendly. read more

French Bee took my credit card number and charged me for $2,000.00 for items never received. Am calling BBB and filing complaints with all review social media websites. Buyer Beware! Never use your credit card at this establishment. Reputation is everything in business and credit card fraud will destroy their business within a few months. read more

After dinner this evening I was waiting outside for my husband and I saw the door to the French Bee was opened so I decided to go in. I had been walking around the store for about 5 minutes when I hear the lady behind the counter say to the other employee you go tell her we are closed. He walked over to me and said we are closed and you need to leave he also made sure to walk me out the door. I told the guy I was sorry and I walked in because the door was open. I have purchased items from this store before(at the old location) and was considering buying something tonight. I have never felt this bad after leaving a store and do not plan on buying anything else at the French Bee!! This store is packed with overpriced cheap looking decor. The staff follows you around to make sure you are not shoplifting. The large man running the store towered over me and accused me of stealing. He said he saw me drop something in my bag. After I showed him there was nothing in my bag, he didn't appoligize. He said I put it back. He was a big bully picking on a great grandmother. There were four of us in the store and none of us found anything to buy. Don't waste your time. read more

I took two friends into the French Bee today! Never in my life have I been treated so rudely by the staff. They followed us around the store as if we were going to steal something from the minute we came in until the minute we left.The merchandise was old items I had seen two years ago. I took two vases that I inherited from my mother to the French Bee workshop on 19th St and Indian School because I wanted something special for my mantle. I talked to Shelly, the designer and came up with topiary greens which turned out average. When I returned home, I was getting the the one topiary out of the box and it came out of the foam. I was unable to replace it securely so I had to go back and ask for them to fix it. Never an apology, just poor customer service! read more

Do not try to return a product here, it will be a nightmare experience. Even the employees whisper to you about how difficult the owner (the bald man) is. He blames it all on YOU, it is NEVER the product or how it was made, or his error, or just a random problem with a product. He treats people poorly. My friends and I always peruse this store after a girl's lunch or brunch. They have a lot of cute seasonal items but the rest looks like something your great aunt had in her closet. Still the seasonal stuff has always been worth a peek. Yesterday I popped in with my sister. I needed a quick gift for a friend whose birthday was that day and who I would be seeing later that evening. There is a round table full of candles. None of the candles are marked with a price. There is ONE sign on the entire table that said Tomato Candles LG 20 SM 9. There were all different fragrances, tomato being one, but since there were no other signs I assumed that maybe Tomato was the brand...um no. I grabbed a large one and paid for it...I was in a rush so I didn't even look at the receipt. The girl who rang me up did not ask if it was gift, did not offer to put tissue paper in the bag...just threw the candle in and handed it to me. Today I looked at my bank account and the charge??? $48.XX ...what???? I called to verify the price of the candle the woman proceeded to argue with me about their being signage (there isn't) she then gives in and says they were moving stuff around so maybe the sign got moved. She suggests I bring it back...I tell her I can't since I gave it to someone. She then asks me who was working ...I tell her I don't know, I don't know the names of your employees. When I bring up that it wasn't even wrapped up or no offer to do so was made she basically ignored me. I had gone to Frances after and purchased several items and they took the time to wrap it up with ribbon etc. Final call? I'm over the French Bee...lesson learned. read more

The reason I shop at local stores is CUSTOMER SERVICE. The French Bee offers NONE. Overpriced!!! Be aware that they have a strict NO REFUND policy, even if you haven't taken delivery yet. My experience there has made me decide to stick to online shopping. read more
