Not Reliable - Very Disappointed I'm really unhappy with my recent experience here. I dropped off some t-shirts and was told they'd be ready on Christmas by 2:00 PM, as they were closing at 5:00 PM that day and wouldn't reopen for several days due to the holidays. I agreed to the timing, but when my partner went to pick up the items, only four shirts were ready. They said they couldn't finish the rest. To make matters worse, he had gone the day before by mistake and was reassured that everything would definitely be ready on the promised day. They claimed they'd call me to explain, but I never received a message. If they couldn't meet the commitment, they should've been upfront about it or offered some sort of discount to address the situation. This whole experience has left me feeling like I can't trust them anymore. read more

I had some new slacks that were altered around the corner at the seamstress. She recommended this dry cleaner. They did a wonderful job on the two pairs of slacks that I brought them reasonable price quick service, friendly highly recommend. read more

TLDR: the only dry cleaners I'll be going to. ____ Admittedly I rarely need dry cleaning services. My work attire is much more casual than say that of my father who had shirts and suits dry cleaned every week. With that said I do have a couple of suits and jackets I need cleaned from time to time. Brought my suit in cause I had a wedding coming up and wanted to get it cleaned and pressed. Was super happy with the results, the price and the turnaround time. I had it back in 2 days! The nicest ppl ever work here! From the gal that answered the phone and answered my questions to the lady that was there to take my suit to the folks that were there when I picked up my suit m, everybody was incredibly nice. I sent this email through Yelp in an attempt to go straight to French Connection Dry Cleaners (Pompano location) about 1 1/2 months ago. They have yet to respond or address the matter. I thought to now share it. Here you go-- __________________________________________________ Hi all, Thanks for your time on this email.. I am not one to blast on Yelp, but I thought it important to share this "ball-drop" I had at your Pompano location. My name is Dean and I dropped off laundry/dry cleaning for a pick up on Wednesday (yesterday) after 2p. I had explained to the nice woman working the counter that Tuesday morning that I was leaving out of town and clarified that I would need the clothes in the morning on Wednesday. She explained that they wouldn't be ready until after 2p, Wednesday. I obliged. I came into the Pompano store on Wednesday at around 3p and the clothes couldn't be found. The woman working the counter was as helpful as she could be, asking for descriptions of the clothes, etc. It wasn't until about 10 minutes later that they were found in a laundry bin with other clothes; they hadn't been touched except for the ironic note "rush" on each of the articles. I am typing this email in a plane on the way to Washington DC and had to press dirty wool pants and vest for my trip. I am wearing them as soon as I get in for my graduation commencement. It was my first time using French Connection. They did a great job on our clothes, including stain removal on a shirt.

I have been using this dry cleaner for 15 years. I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment regarding my most recent transaction. I took them an older BCBG dress that was a staple, black, classic dress with some beading. I could wear the dress to a cocktail party, a wedding, a funeral or a happy hour with the correct shoes and jewelry. I dropped off this dress to them October 14th for basic dry cleaning. I went to pick up a week later and the attendant- say " Oh- they didn't call you?" To which I said no. Unfortunately, they ruined my dress which was entrusted to their establishment. The whole front of the dress is ruined and the beads melted. They told me to call back the next day to speak to the manager. After much debate the owner said that they would not be able to reimburse me for any amount and offered no condolences. They did offer to contact the manufacturer of the dress. That was October 20th. Regrettably, until today- January 5th- no one has reached out to me. I finally called- to which they said, again, there is nothing that they can do; they followed the instructions of the manufacturer. That dress was sentimental to me. Yes- it's a tangible article which can be replaced, but the sentimental value can not be replaced. It was worn to dates, holiday parties and funerals- ie the classic staple black dress. It is disheartening to note that this establishment, which i had regarded as a reliable service provider, has failed to take responsibility for the damage they caused. The damages incurred are undeniable, and despite my attempts to address the mater with their team, there has been an alarming lack of accountability, customer service, and compassion. The absence of any proactive approach to rectify this issues has left me with a distinct lack of confidence in their services. Customer service is an integral aspect of any reputable business, and it is disconcerting to observe a significant deficit in this regard. The dismissive and unhelpful responses received during my attempts to seek compensation for the damaged dress highlight a concerning lack of commitment to customer satisfaction. I believe it's imperative for business to value their customers and demonstrate a willingness to address and rectify errors promptly. Unfortunately, my experience with French Connection, Pompano, has left me with an impression that customer satisfaction is not a priority. As a result of this unfortunate incident and the subsequent unsatisfactory handling of this matter- they have lost a customer. The loss of a valuable customer should underscore the importance of reevaluating customer service practices. They have a bad review.... its BS! It's s family owned business. Literally! Service: they will pick up and drop off at your home or work!! Again... you don't have to go there.. they pick up!! They are the most inexpensive dry cleaner I have ever dealt with. And I grew up in Boston. Oh and they do an amazing job... they don't break buttons or over chemical your clothes that will make buttons brittle...Oh and your clothes are done "in house" from a family business. Not sent out like 90% of dry cleaners. But even if they were average.... I would still use them cause it's a local, family business!! But they are great. It's a gem in pompano. Call them. I think they deliver from Hollywood to Boca.. don't really know but they are great... (I sent them dirty mildly hockey pants...you can eat off them now...) just saying read more

This is my new favorite dry cleaning spot. Since it is in the same plaza as where I go kickboxing it is super simple for me to drop off and pick up up my items here. I love the service and prices. I have also had a blazer altered here and it was perfect. I have used other dry cleaners before and found they were overpriced or just didn't meet my standards. Hours are also much better for me than others I have used. I have a job so I can't always wait until after 8 am or get there before they close. I am super happy I found them! read more

I started looking for somewhere new, to "do" my dress shirts the way I like 'em done, about 15 months ago. Fortunately I came across Jessica and her family. They have it just about right. Everyone is always courteous and friendly. The prices are reasonable. Everything is always ready when they say it will be. I like my shirts to be lightly starched and then folded and bagged. I find them much easier to travel with this way and I normally travel with up to 14 shirts, packed into travel cubes. The system works for me, filling 1/4 of my suitcase. So if you are looking for quality cleaning in Pompano or N Lauderdale, you may not need to look further. read more
