I am very impressed with this store, especially in this area, it's very nice to find my favorite grocery items. However, today, I had the best WRAP I've had in ages. The fresh market, near the deli area, right by the salad case. Actually this was a wrap, A spinach wrap with fresh turkey,, brie, and apple. Who knew? What an excellent lunch. I'm not an easy person to get along with, I'm polite when I have to be but usually I just keep my own self. When I go to Publix, I go, I get, I leave. But I love The Fresh Market and especially this one! Today they had Alaskan wild caught crab legs on sale. Now they're not usually in my budget but I decided to splurge except it was hard to get decent ones in my price range which was about a pound, pound and a half. The gentleman behind the meat counter (that was today, Friday, September 26 at about 12:30 PM) he was absolutely the best. He gave me a pound and a half breaking up a bag and taking out all the loose little bits so I didn't wind up with just shells. That was ao kind! It's clean, everyone is very friendly, it can get busy but they take it all in stride. If I could afford to do all my grocery shopping here, I would. It's always pleasant to walk into, it smells nice, the entrance is a little funky but that's just the design. People don't put their baskets up so it can block the entrance. That's not the store's fault and they do mind them often so it's not a permanent problem. I've had only one bad experience and it was in the bakery a few years ago. Everybody else has been so accommodating! I've been to their other stores in and around South Florida. They're all nice and clean but honestly, this is my favorite store hands-down. Don't come talking to me about Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, it's The Fresh Market for me! read more

Absolutely my favorite place to find regular & not-so-regular food items. I have always had a great experience at this market and really appreciate how knowledgeable and helpful the staff have been. I really enjoy walking in & immediately smelling the fresh flowers. Their coffee station at the front of the market allows for a quick treat as we walk the aisles. They offer small-basket carts, standard-basket carts, carry baskets & I even saw a motorized cart which would be very helpful for those who might have difficulty walking the market. Fresh Market saved our Thanksgiving! At the last minute I got asked to host a small Thanksgiving gathering. The first thing that was an issue is that I'm a vegetarian and I've never cooked a turkey and second issue was that I'm a horrible cook. I called Fresh Market and although they had stopped taking orders the woman working at the deli saved the day and took one last order (I think her name was Jackie) The entire meal came out AMAZING! When my parents still lived in Suntree this was just a field. Lots of new shops and businesses such as Fresh Market! Loads of parking. We went a bit before Christmas for food and had no issue finding a spot close. Inside you'll find an amazing selection of cheeses, baked items, seafood, and meats. Smaller chunks of cheese were even priced under $5! You can try that expensive cheese you always wanted to but not break the bank. Wide selection of sweets, coffee, a florist, and thE usual dairy alternatives. They have a nice beer and kombucha section too. Want wine? They have a great area for that too. We spent maybe an hour walking around. Really random obscure foods and spices. A large number of products from England and a fair amount of West Indian staples too. read more

When this store first opened it was the absolute best when it came to quality. However lately it seems that quality has dropped especially in the meat and fish department, the quality of the fish and especially salmon has declined dramatically for some reason. Also the the Jumboz Blueberry are often mushy just to name a few. Come on guys this is Fresh Market we expect top quality. Hoping someone will take the initiative to make this store great again. I thought it was a nice, but way over priced store, but they've left things out of my bag that I paid for, twice. Then, yesterday, I bought cookies from the bakery that are beyond stale, and I bought shrimp there and it was ROTTEN. It made my whole house smell like a rotting dead animal. we couldn't figure out what it was until we picked up the package of shrimp and sniffed it. SO FREAKING NASTY. I called the store several times but no one answered, Ridiculous. I've never had that happen anywhere else in all my years of grocery shopping. We went out this afternoon and when we came back, our entire house is just fowl smelling. I can not even tell you how nasty it is. I was craving a spicy tuna roll and remembered they have a great sushi bar here. Apparently the secret is out because when I got there, there was none left. The nice gentleman who makes them must've seen the disappointment in my eyes. He asked if he could help me with something. I explained my dilemma. He offered to make me one. So glad he did. It was the best spicy tuna roll I ever ate in my life. Love this place. Food is always fresh. The people are always nice. And the store has a clean relaxing environment. Very limited stock. I don't want to shop in two stores when I can get everything in one. In terms of stock, this is a mini-supermarket. I can't argue about the quality of its non-fruits and vegetable; it's there and it costs, as does all quality. Just down the street is a fresh fruit and vegetable place that is small and easy to navigate and in fact carries a few items that The Fresh Market does not. It's prices are competitive with The Fresh Market. Sure, there's the occasional item that I want to eat that this store keeps in stock, but that's like once every two months, maybe. read more

This store is horrific! On Tuesday August 24th, I went to the fresh market to purchase king salmon, as I received an email notification that it was on sale. Prior to leaving, I called the store's seafood department, but there was no answer. Upon arriving at the store, I was told there was no salmon, as someone forgot to order it, though, if I came back Friday, it would be ordered in. At that time, I asked to place an order and have the salmon scaled and the skin taken off. They said that was fine and there was not a problem with that. I called again today before I left to see if the salmon was in, and received no answer after ringing for six minutes. I hing up, called again, and through the deli requested a manager, who confirmed the salmon was in. I was forwarded to an actual person in the department who informed me the salmon was in so I proceeded to the store. I had the salmon prepared as it had not been done as we discussed perviously, and proceeded home to package the salmon. Upon opening the package I was floored to say the least, as I found the below pictures of the BUTCHERED salmon. I contacted the store immediately to inform them of the disaster and spoke with the manager. He advised me that he would speak to the person who prepared the salmon and would remedy the situation. In addition he stated, "I needed to find a way to satisfy you as we had an issue before with a tenderloin". I purchased tenderloin last year which was also destroyed by an employee who is no longer employed there. First of all, this previous issue which was the fault of the store and not that of mine, should not have even been a brought up in an attempt to shift the responsibility, and minimize the severity of this mishap.I was never contacted by the regional manager as I was advised I would be. My complaint was made with attempted condescending and minuscule minimizing of the situation. Carla in the corporate office, offered no resolution, apology, or any type of professional response, though she only made excuses for conduct that was inexcusable. The lack of basic decision-making, damage control, and customer service skills needed to suffice such a horrific situation is experience and damaging situation Is indicative of the country bumpkins I was dealing with in North Carolina. Need I say more? These pictures are being posted all over the Internet and have been sent throughout the community in several areas of Florida, and all of the people I meet. Fortunately I have prevented approximately 39 from becoming victims after viewing these pictures. Where is standard that should accompany a store with such high prices, in comparison to Publix, who, by the way, rivals them in every asp and exceeds them in customer service by light years! Carla, the issue was NEVER resolved, and it was NOT a pleasure speaking with you. In addition, you only unsuccessfully attempted to condescend, and minimize the severity of the situation and stated, "that we're at an impasse". In your imaginary little world! Similar to Whole Food though a much smaller store this location is absolutely beautiful and focuses on higher end food. This store puts the likes of Publix to shame with its expansive food selection and high quality. Dont expect a big discounts at all because in most cases I have found things here equally or more expensive than Publix. The 1st butcher finished waiting on a lady and walked away without even looking at me and I'm standing in front of him, second butcher calls my number, I acknowledge that's my #, and he Just looks at me as if I didn't belong there, never says anything until I said Hello. I Point out the Filet I want he says your left, no my right, 3 stakes up, he then proceeds to tell me it's 2 up and not 3, I tell him there's 2 steaks close to you, that is the 3rd, his response was I thought you meant from the front, all with an attitude. By that time I'm like Fk the steaks, where's the manager, Is it a Black Thing? Cause there's no way they could be that surly and disrespectful and stay in business. I was a bit hesitant to visit The Fresh Market since it looks like a knock off of Whole Foods, but I'm so glad I stopped in here! For starters, they are just like Whole Foods but they have prices that normal people can afford. I was able to get my favorite Naked juice that's normally $12.99 at Whole Foods for $6.99 at The Fresh Market! Such a great deal! Also, the bakery section here is amazing. They have really awesome cakes and cookies. My favorite is the Tiramisu bar cake. It's really hard to not eat the whole thing in one sitting. They also have a soup and salad bar that looks fantastic. There's a seating area in the front of the store where you can enjoy whatever you've picked up. Definitely a good option for a quick lunch. The customer service here is great too. My boyfriend and I decided to try some edible cookie dough one night and when we got it home, it tasted terrible. We called the store and the lady on the phone said to bring it back in and we could get a refund. Not only did we end up with a refund, but they also paid for us to get a different dessert for each of us for our bad experience. I can't speak for the other Florida locations, but the Melbourne Fresh Market is awesome! Definitely check it out! read more

I was very excited to see that the store was opening here in Florida for I was very familiar with the one in Davidson North Carolina, and it was great. However I am disappointed in the store because in their fruits and vegetable section you find a lot of fruit that is unacceptable. The Fresh Market is fairly new to the Melbourne area. My son has been there several times, and recommended that I check it out. I was hesitant because it sounded similar to the Whole Foods Market that we had in Michigan. Florida may have this Market as well. I finally took my son's advice and checked it out. I was pleasantly surprised. The Market has something for everyone and the prices are reasonable. They have a beautiful produce section. They offer organic selections and regular selections. I love the olive bar. For $8.99 a pound you have a variety of olives, olive salads, roasted garlic and other delicacies. I have tried just about everything, and have not been disappointed. There is a lovely deli that has ready made food plus the typical deli selections. They have a case that offers gourmet cheeses, sandwiches, sushi, soups, pierogi's, and chicken pies to name a few. There is a meat and fish counter which I have yet to try. The bakery sells cakes, pies and tortes. You can buy them whole or buy them by the piece. Portions are large and can be shared. They offer different kinds of breads, and rolls. The dairy section is large and offers all kinds of products. I purchased Ghee there which was not available in my local grocery store. The have a good sized wine area, and often have free tasting. Some prices are higher than in one of the local wine stores. However the prices are not totally out of line. They have a good sized organic section where you can purchase vegan products, gluten free options and many more. They also have a bulk but and dried fruit area which is self serve. Prices vary according to what you choose. The staff is friendly and attentive. The store is clean. There is a small eat in area where you can eat your purchase for lunch. Overall the prices are reasonable, and it resembles Whole Foods without price gouging. If you haven't been there I highly recommend that you give it a try. read more

The chain should either hire management that knows how to buy to cover ad features or the chain is just "rolling their customers" with features they have no stock to cover.
