Whether you choose to park on the street, use valet, or a nearby lot, expect to pay when visiting Steelbach. The ambiance leans masculine, with deep, comfortable chairs that create a relaxed dining atmosphere. I stopped by for dinner and ordered Maud's fried chicken. It typically comes with hot honey and red eye gravy, though I opted out of both. I was surprised (in a good way) to receive a full half chicken--definitely a generous portion. The chicken was cooked through perfectly, lightly breaded, and not overly salty. That said, it did feel like it was missing a bit of flavor, which may have been due to skipping the hot honey.

Have been here for supper a few times but this past weekend we tried it for brunch on Sunday and were delighted. Server was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Food was stellar. I love that it is attached to Armature Works so you get that industrial vibe right when you walk in. Putting it in the regular rotation for Sunday brunch!

Finally tried Steelbach for Father's Day brunch and I am already looking forward to my next visit. I drank a deliciously tangy Lime in the Coconut. The hangover burger was yummy and filling! I had to take the breakfast potatoes home. The kids bento boxes are so cute! They get an entree, side, fruit or veggie, and a dessert. Our party also tried the smoked brisket eggs Benedict and French toast. Everything was delicious. We were too full for dessert, but hopefully next time!

What an amazing last minute move to have brunch here on Sunday! The four of us walked in and the staff to find us a table outside was awesome. They kept us updated and sat us after a brief wait. Our server was amazing and to start with a cocktail I did their French75 along with their Hangover Burger. The reason the Food fell one star short of 5 was because I felt the French75 was served warm. I'm not sure if the Champagne was warm or the glass wasn't chilled but that was the only mark. That burger was beyond amazing as well as the well cooked and seasoned fries!! We loved it and would come back again but perhaps for dinner service!

Yum! We did the business lunch special! The French onion soup was delicious! Nice twist on a classic. Our waiter was efficient and even prepared banana pudding to go! Thanks Travis! A perfect Friday spot on the river, we ate inside to get out of the heat.

Visiting Tampa on business and meeting a "foodie" friend for lunch. Initially found Steelbach in the Michelin Guide and short-listed, my friend had never been so that decided it. Booked a lunch reservation for noon on Open Table about a week prior, she arrived on-time and chose a shady spot on the patio, I was just a couple minutes behind. Service was excellent, we initially were catching up and waitress gave us space to decide what we wanted and answered all our questions. She drank a local beer and I had a French 75 which really hit the spot. We both had salads with steak on them and shared the "side of fruit" which was one of the nicest fruit plates I've ever had. Steak on both salads was cooked perfectly. This is a great restaurant in a great scenic spot, highly recommend.

First time at Steelbach. Wait staff was just ok. After our food arrived he seemed to be done I think it's usually nice to check in just after you get the food to ensure it was what was expected or if anything else is needed. I had the crab and Brie omelet and I'm not sure I even tasted any crab. Certainly not what I expected. The French toast was very sweet. Again, a normal wait staff would ask if it was ok since only a couple of bites were missing at the end. Finally, the interior was stuffy or humid. When we walked into the mall area it was noticeably cooler. Not sure if Steelbach needed fans or if they should have directed patrons to enter via the mall side instead of the street. I guess we were expecting a nice Mother's Day meal and it ended up being just ok.

Most incredible dining experience I e had in a long time. The wait staff were so incredible kind and welcoming, has the best atmosphere. Tried the seafood tower and felt like it was a great value for everything you get. The salad portion was also huge and I feel shareable for 2-3 people. Will absolutely be coming back

Ambiance: The restaurant itself was very nicely decorated and felt cozy. Love that you can see the cooks firing up the cookers and preparing the food. The biggest downside was the noise level. This place was very loud on a Friday evening. They sure can fit a lot of people in here so with so many people talking, you can barely hear your friends. 4/5 Food: we were most excited about the food. The paid attention to detail in the presentation but I'd have to say that there were no standout dishes that we tried. They each seemed to be missing flavor or very much seasoning for that matter. We're told that the steak is what people come for and the table next to us did order it and it did look really good. 3/5 Drinks: very well done. No complaints 5/5 Service: Our server was informative, attentive and polite. She knew the menu well and was able to expand on her favorites and made great recommendations. 5/5 Overall: I would be interested in revisiting for their steak and the drinks again. The Armature Works area is certainly a great location with lots of options. Parking can be a bit challenging but they did have valet options, street parking and a parking lot area.

Had to check back two years after my five-star first impression to drop another five on it. Steelbach has been one of my favorite brunch and dinner destinations ever since. Consistent in serving up desirable gluten-free dishes, great cocktails, local grass-fed beef, the BEST buffalo cauliflower, and flavorful mimosa flights. The French onion soup with braised short rib is also worth mentioning. Great staff. I highly recommend the valet on weekends since Armature Works is so lively.

    Monkey bread and rolling shrimp
    Cyandra Y.

I came here during Saturday brunch and everything was delicious! I had no complaints. I had the monkey bread, rolling shrimp and skirt steak. The monkey bread was warm and delicious and not overly sweet. The rolling shrimp was good! I was expecting something different but these were really good spring rolls!! One of the best I've had. The skirt steak was REALLY good. They cooked it perfectly and the salad it came with complimented it well. Not pictured is the lychee Martine. Which was Also good drink too. More of the sweeter side though. The server was nice , on point and knowledgeable too! The restaurant was a modern brick wall restaurant with a good location. It is pay to park also and a little hard to find parking unless you do valet . Overall, i will definitely be back for the rolls, skirt steak and drink!

If you are looking for one of the best meals & experiences of your life, you need to try out Steelbach! This is by far my new top restaurant in Tampa! Everything about Steelbach is perfection; the atmosphere & aesthetic is fantastic, giving a classy industrial vibe. The service is spectacular, the entire team will go out of their way to give you the best experience possible! Special shout out to our incredible server @travis! Everything about the meal was delicious! You NEED to start with the short rib mezze; it's perfect for sharing with the whole table & it is some of the best short rib I've ever had! The steaks are seasoned amazingly and cooked precisely to order; their grass feed beef is amazing quality! The lychee martini is also a must; very well balanced and incredibly refreshing! Again, everything was seriously unreal, I could go on and on - this is an absolute must visit!!

Great food. Great service. But management needs to understand to not add fees without telling people. A 3% card fee is not listed anywhere and you all are a cash free establishment so there is no way to pay without an extra 3% fee that's listed as "fees". And it still gets charged when using a gift card. Sours an overall great experience. Get better management or you'll start losing customers due to terrible processes and lack of transparency. Would've been a 5 otherwise.

I really need to stop falling for social media hype. Driftlight fell way short of expectations,…read moreespecially for their price point. Let's start with the good. We arrived for our reservation and were seated promptly. Walking in, there were plenty of open tables. Maybe that should have been our first warning sign. Our server was friendly, but the tableside manner didn't match other comparable modern American steakhouses in the Tampa Bay/St. Pete area. My wife and I started with the French onion soup; our son had the Key Lime Caesar. The soup portion was smaller than usual, with a significant taper toward the bottom of the cup, but the flavor more than made up for it. A strong start! The Caesar was crisp and cold, and our son devoured it in minutes. Another win; however, this was short lived. Now for the bad. My wife and I both ordered the filet; I added the truffle butter enhancement. Unfortunately, my steak was ridiculously overcooked, and the truffle butter was the only thing that salvaged the flavor. Our son's 18oz Delmonico fared no better -- his verdict: "it's ok." For sides, we ordered baked potatoes and broccolini. Hard to screw up a baked potato, so no complaints there. The broccolini, however, was dry and flavorless. I should have sent it back and asked for a substitute. As a side note, we were also served creamed corn, which we hadn't officially ordered. We'd discussed it while placing our order but ultimately decided against it. We figured our server misheard and put it in anyway. Ironically, the dish we didn't order was the best one on the table, if a bit drowning in cheese. Shortly after, an order of mushrooms arrived, which we also hadn't ordered. That's when it clicked: the creamed corn was meant for another table, and we'd been served someone else's food. We debated skipping dessert but figured we might as well get the full experience. We ordered the gelato; my wife wanted it served as an affogato. When she asked, she was met with a blank look from our server. At this price point, the server should know what an affogato is. So we ordered an espresso separately and made the affogato ourselves. Honestly, I'm not convinced what we got was gelato and not just plain ice cream -- it was freezer-burnt. Final damage for the evening: over $500 with gratuity. Absolutely ridiculous for the quality of food and service we received. To close things out, our server seemed eager to rush us off, asking if we were done with the check and whisking it away almost immediately. At least let us sit and bask in the $500 worth of regret. Bottom line: if you want a genuine modern American steakhouse experience, there are significantly better options in Tampa/St. Pete...especially at a $500 price point.

They even came outside and brought us complimentary champagne to apologize, which immediately set the tone for the night. We hadn't even sat down yet, and they had already made us feel valued. From the moment we walked inside, the atmosphere was incredible. The energy, the ambiance, and the service exceeded every expectation I had for my first Michelin restaurant experience. Our server, Elijah, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, intentional, and genuinely passionate about creating a great experience. Sophie also gave fantastic wine recommendations that paired perfectly with our entrées. The mozzarella cart is an absolute must. There is no reason to visit Rocca and skip it. While it was being prepared, we had the opportunity to talk with Mason about life, goals, and dreams, and it felt like talking with an old friend. Later, after mentioning how much we loved the music, Kingston came over, found out we were in town for the J. Cole concert, and played J. Cole throughout the rest of the evening. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch that made the night even more memorable. To top it off, the restaurant brought us additional complimentary bites as another apology for the initial wait, even though we already felt they had gone above and beyond. The food was phenomenal. Every dish was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. No Brie au gratin potatoes or braised rainbow chard, citrus gremolata and a fig chutney. Now, let me say that my filet was delicious. I loved the sauce and the asparagus was good but for me, the potatoes were super underwhelming. A nice sauce or something would have made them better. They just tasted bland, were really dry and lacked any flavor. My wife expected the lamb or pork chops, they were both not on the menu. She got fish and chips which she really enjoyed, so it was a win. The Asian wings were our appetizer and were delightful too. Now the only real negative for us was the noise. We got there at 5:30 and it was fine. But as more people came in, the sound bounced around so bad that it became almost unbearable for me. I wanted to go so bad because people laughing and talking made my head hurt. Would I go back? Probably not. I didn't enjoy how loud it was. The food was very good though, so perhaps takeout would be more my speed. We had a nice meal and my leftovers were delicious later that evening.

The atmosphere was super festive and we were looking forward to our evening. The bartender was friendly and took our drink order. We waited an extremely long time and his excuse was he had to climb up to get a bottle of Grey Goose. After waiting so long he still forgot the one drink which we thought was what took so long, an old fashioned. The two other customers got an additional drink while we were waiting. We were 15 minutes late for our reservation, which didn't matter because there were only 2 tables of patrons. Our server in training came by and dropped off paper Christmas menus and brought us water. Then we waited and waited and finally our sever arrived. We asked for the menu and she said the only thing they had was this special Christmas menu, which was basically all appetizers. This is NOT what we planned when making reservations weeks ago. So disappointing! We ended up leaving and having dinner elsewhere.

I had two cocktails one came in the cutest Santa mug (instant mood boost), and the Clover d'Hiver was pretty and delicious from the Christmas menu. Service was a little slow with checks and I never got the food I ordered but honestly, the vibes were so cute and cozy I didn't even stay mad. Great spot for a festive night out with friends or a cute holiday date night.
