The Beef Empanada & Caribbean Jerk Chicken Taco

We to the one inside Mathis Brothers. The waitress was very cool. Our food came out fairly quickly. We got home and everything looked good. The chicken bacon ranch empanada was good. Love the dipping sauce. The warm salsa was good too but just too spicy for me. It's a nice seating area and you can get some drinks too. Cool vibes. Love the suede chairs.

Service was friendly and fast. I only tried the queso w/chorizo for an appetizer for our table. I thought it was better than average! The chips were thick and seemed more like flour tortillas but they worked well with the creamy dip. I would definitely try some of their tacos the next time I'm at The Collective!

I never knew about this place until a couple of days ago (it's inside the Mathis Brothers outlet). I've ate here twice now and both times it was REALLY good. I am a very picky person. especially when it comes to meat and vegetables, but here I am able to order the food exactly as it comes. The chicken is a shredded chicken instead of chunks and it's very juicy and flavorful. I think the prices are really affordable as and both times the waitress was very friendly & helpful.

Excellent taco place located in The Collective that specializes in the fried variety! They additionally have nice fruit beverages. Also plenty of seating in the "food court" styled area. Service also prompt and accurate - recommended!

The Fried Taco never seems to disappoint me. I've been a Stan for years. However, today was my first time trying the empanadas and OMG! It was insanely delicious. The bread was soft but crispy and the filling was flavorful. Of course you have to grab a lavender lemonade and guacamole. The only thing I don't love is now they give you ONE salsa for free (I had 3 tacos and 1 empanada) and .35 for each salsa after that. I should have at least gotten 2-3 free, but whatever. It also seems like their pricing has increased overall. They were never cheap to begin with, so maybe it was something I noticed this time around after the salsa incident. Either way, they still have my taco vote!

Okay-- I'm literally obsessed with this place! Love that it's inside of The Collective food hall. What more can you ask for, tacos and cocktails? Say no more! You order and then hand you a buzzer that'll let you know when your order is ready, then you're free to sit anywhere you'd like-- plenty of seating indoors or outdoors. They're about $5 each, but they're soooo delicious and loaded! The taco shells are super crispy, and can get a little messy but it's all part of the experience! The flavor combinations and tenderness of the meat, I promise you won't be disappointed! The service is quick and amazing! The girl behind the counter was helpful in deciding what to order. They also have house made salsas that pair so well. Yum!!

YUM YUM YUM!!! The pork taco is my favorite and go to taco every time I come in. It's also a great place to bring your family! They have a nice and clean dining room and there is a giant courtyard too!

Great tacos, on Tuesday during Taco Tuesday, this is the place to go, Staff is friendly and will tell you all about each taco. There is enough meat in these tacos to keep you filled up for the day! Below, I got Beef, Pork and Chicken.

I've heard SO many good things about this place and I love tacos so I was excited to try. I ordered the brisket taco and it's pretty miniature so if you're eating for dinner I'd order 2-3 which will run you ~15. Each taco is ($4-5.50). The brisket taco was so tasty on a fried shell! I also loved the medium salsa with it. The chips were also freshly fried and the queso looked delicious but wasn't as impressive as the taco. I felt as if it was missing some spices or seasoning.

I went today and I won't go back. The chicken in the noodles was good but the noodles themselves did not work for me at all.

I wasn't hungry enough for a $20 meal, just for one taco. That's how I ended up with queso and it was $10, that's pretty price for some basic cheese dip and a few pieces of fajita chicken. It also sucks that you can't order a cup of water. You have to buy a bottle ‍ like come man. The service was okay too. You order at the register when you first walk in and then find a table. Once seated they bring your food to you. It came out really fast too. I just got Sooner Dip/ white queso with chicken. It was decent, not made about it at all. I got a taste of my cousin's refried beans, they were good. She loved her quesabirria tacos. I got a piece and it was okay. My brother loved his veggie fajitas. The chips and guacamole was good.

From the moment I stepped in, the staff welcomed me with such genuine warmth that I felt right at home in their fun, inviting, and lively atmosphere. The setup is super user-friendly: you order at the registers with clear menu boards, grab your number, and settle in while they bring everything to your table. And oh, the full bar is a standout, stocked with an array of top-shelf tequilas that promise an elevated experience for any visit. Their salsa bar is amazing, featuring six homemade salsas bursting with fresh flavors, alongside lime wedges, crisp radishes, tangy pickles, fiery jalapeños, zesty relish, and those addictive marinated and pickled red onions. Perfect for customizing every bite. With four beers on tap and a solid selection of bottled options, I couldn't resist grabbing one while I waited at the bar. Today, I went for the #8, four street tacos with my choices of meats: pastor, asada, pollo, and barbacoa (though options include chorizo, with small upcharges for barbacoa or shrimp). Served on house-made corn tortillas that were soft, warm, and incredibly authentic, topped with fresh cilantro and onions, these tacos were pure perfection. What really set them apart was the meats: expertly marinated in bold, aromatic spices that infused each piece with layers of savory depth, then cooked to juicy, moist tenderness, whether grilled for that smoky char or slow-simmered for melt-in-your-mouth goodness, they were real standouts that had me savoring every flavorful morsel. I rounded out the meal with chips and salsa,l white queso, and their freshly made guacamole, which was chunky, vibrant, and the ideal creamy complement. The service was spot-on and super friendly throughout, making the whole visit seamless and enjoyable. This spot is a fantastic addition to the area, and I'm already declaring it my new favorite Mexican place around here. Can't wait to return for more tacos and tequila adventures!

It was very busy when we walked in but there was no wait. We were thankfully seated immediately and started off with chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crispy, but the salsa was mediocre. The tomatoes tasted canned. While I can totally get the efficiency behind using canned tomatoes for a busy restaurant, the taste is not preferred. The kids chicken quesadilla plate was a good amount of food! I just wish the quesadilla was already sliced as it was for our 3 year old. The chicken was also bland. Again, the portions were great. My son ordered the Burrito La Herencia with ground beef and this was seasoned well. Again, great portions of beans, rice & main dish. No complaints with this one! My spouse ordered the La Herencia fajita special and felt as if it was lacking. The steak pieces were minuscule and the shrimp was bland and undercooked. The pork chop was thinly sliced which was nice but VERY salty. We were wishing for more peppers and onions as well. Overall this dish was salty, but tolerable! It came with a side plate of rice, beans, pico de gallo, guac, sour cream & lettuce. Served with flour tortillas. We ordered the queso & guac while we were looking at the menu and waiting. I personally did not enjoy the queso. It was thick and had an artificial mouth feel. The guac was decent! Bland overall but I love the taste of avocado. I wish it had more lime and seasoning though since it was supposed to be Guacamole and not avocado dip. I ordered the Steak Mexicano with extra jalapeños and this was very good. Still on the salty side but I enjoy things on a SLIGHTLY saltier range. My spouse thought the steak was TOO salty. The peppers, onions, and tomatoes were nicely sautéed and seasoned. The rice here is also DELICIOUS. I hate a bland Mexican rice. The beans were good too but nothing to write home about. I do wish I was offered a side of corn tortillas. Overall this experience was okay! Not the worst but definitely not the best. The restaurant was beautifully decorated but there was a noticeable lack of music. We were sat listening to the chatter of all the different customers and kitchen noises. We did have the option of booth or table AND they have boosters seats/ high chairs upon request.
