We left because there was one, not that I cared, but my friends did, LOL why do people open a bar, and just because it gets poppin, they want to make some extra cash? I give 5 stars is for the SBC DJ Rick Lee... Other than that, it's damn FUNKY in there when it gets really hot. They need a good ventilation. It's free to get in but damn, the line to get drinks is ridiculous. I ordered AMF but that shit was fucking nasty, waaay too much gin and the little plastic clear cup is not crackin'. I've been going to this place on and off for years and NO MORE !!! Even my uncle who is a regular could not protect me. The drinks are pretty bad but kinda strong. It's dirty and a dive bar but not a cool dive bar, just a loser lounge. I feel sorry for the bartenders. This place is filled with a bunch of old drunk perverts 99% of the time and F&%Kboys the other 1%. If you want to be groped by old drunk men while trying to order your drink this may be the place for you but if your a lady looking for someone or something decent then stay away from this place. Monday night at the Monkey is the best, if you want to catch the MNF game and get a great steak this is the place. You can't be it, $9 bucks for a big juicy rib-eye or a new your for $8 bucks. I went in sober as sober can be... I hadn't had a drink yet. The bartender paid me no attention. I waited 10 minutes and then I got antsy... I said excuse me... no answer.. then a little louder excuse me!? then I finally said Hey Lady!! she responded by saying I was cut off. I hadn't even had a drink yet. it was comical being cut off before I even had a drink. So between that experience and a buddy of mine who had his jaw broken here... and all the cops that hang out in front I elected to no longer patronize this spot. Wow, so this is where the ghetto crowd of Hayward hangs out. It's definitely an experience going into this place. There's karaoke on some nights and i think on the weekends it turns into a dance venue. On the plus side, the drinks are pretty cheap and on the generous side. read more

Haven't been here in years. My girlfriend loves Karaoke and she wanted to go out. And apparently they had it on a Monday night. Parking is easy to find. There's a parking lot across the street behind the Domino's. The bar is long, plenty of seating and tables. They have televisions, video games, electronic dart boards, pin ball machines, a pool table and outdoor patio. The last time we were here, the bartender's name was Trinity, a male. He was great. This time, it was Selena, and I had to break out the "Anything for Salinas" line. She was great as well and apparently she's new so be nice to her. Bar is CASH ONLY. read more

A chill bar with great music on the weekends! They don't play much of the nonsense on the radio these days. It's more music from the early 2000's. The bartenders do not skimp on the alcohol, either. There's an outdoor smoking area which is cool so you don't have to actually exit the bar. read more

I don't usually give bad reviews but I went here on a Saturday night. Plus is you can dance and they have good hip hop music. The bad is that the drinks are bad and expensive. $11.75 for a Long Island that tasted like watered down coke. I have not been there in a while, but Rick Lee is the DJ on Saturday nights. If you are HIp-hop fan you will love The DJ. Also the drinks are good sized. This place is my favorite bar to go to . It's located in Hayward . The music they play is great , from hip-hop to rap , salsa , slow jams , they play it all . They have dart nights on certain days of the week . They have a nice 75c pool tables . Karaoke machine . Punching machine. Also a photo booth . The bartenders are super friendly and attentive. This place is a Hayward staple and I have found myself here a few times just enjoying a good drink or capitalizing on a food special of $1 hot links with $2 PBR. Andi & Leslie are awesome at what they do and can definitely pour you a good stiff drink. The noise level is sometimes a bit much to tolerate as well as some of the crowd that wanders in there. She HOT! but also hilarious and can make mixed and specialty drinks like no other. My friends and I walked in on a Sunday evening. Place was dead at first. We went for the Karaoke night. The guy was late, first of all. Karaoke night was supposed to start at 9pm, didn't start until 9:30. Then he started calling people that's on the list. I think I mentioned we were there first. The karaoke guy walked in with about 5-6 people behind him (Friends). He started calling them 1 by 1 and they were doing 2-3 songs each. It was annoying that we had to wait for each and everyone of his friends to go first before anyone else in the bar. The right thing to do should've been alternating your friends with customer list. I've been here SEVERAL times as I have lived in this neighborhood for years.. and the young girl who bartends is not friendly unless you're a man....wtf... I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt a couple times but nope.. she doesn't like females she is almost always hella rude if ur a chick but if ur a guy she's all giggles and service. Monday, Wednesday and sunday are karaoke nights! They guys that do the karaoke are pretty chill and encourage drunken singing, badly! :) and the Bartender is super friendly and worth the tips! never really any problems on those nights. I hear the weekend is really different, experience at own risk lol but its nice during the week, locals mostly. Nice and chill spot to stop in and have a beer.
