When we arrived, Myrna, the owner, took so much time getting to know Gracie Mae, asking about her personality, grooming history, any allergies, medical information, and exactly how we wanted her groomed. She also explained all of the wonderful services they offer and made thoughtful recommendations. You can immediately tell how much she truly loves and cares about every dog that comes through her door. Gracie Mae came out absolutely gorgeous! Her haircut is perfect, she smells amazing, and she looked so happy and comfortable when we picked her up. We couldn't stop smiling! They even put the sweetest little pink bow in her hair and a matching pink bandana around her neck, which was such a thoughtful finishing touch. I believed I was doing so and the puppy I was waiting for was adopted right out from under me. I have many messages between us specifying which animal I was waiting to adopt. Yet still it was adopted by someone else. There was no sense of remorse for ruining my birthday present, nor was there any remorse , more importantly, for their error. I was told to come and pick another one like it was no big deal. For me it was a big deal because I already had chosen a name for the puppy and purchased many items for that specific puppy I felt a connection with. I do not want anyone else to be treated in this harsh, uncaring way. I do not want anyone else to go through the same pain. I think what is the most hurtful is their inability to take responsibility for their error and the heartache it has caused. They simply maintained focus on some set of notes they had filled with misinformation that I was able to prove it was misinformation with photos from our thread of mesages. That in itself represents their irresponsibility and concern for client feelings I am hoping this improves their responsibility to the commitments they make, as well as the accuracy of the notes they maintain. I hope they learn to return to message threads to review the conversations they hold. These conversations contain needed information for the adoptions they conduct. I hope they learn how to rectify their mistakes and admit to them. This is a fabulous way to earn people's respect and confidence in their ability to maintain a rescue.

After many attempts to have my dog's nails cut, we were at a loss. We had been to 3 other groomers,…read moreand had taken a number of trips to the vet. We tried CBD, and medication to calm her and we were still unable to have anyone actually get them cut. We heard about Mell's Grooming and called on a whim. They told us to come down and they would get it done. We entered and everyone was very friendly. They were grooming 3 other dogs and were still able to take us. Anna helped us and got her right up onto the table. Unlike everyplace else, they didn't need to muzzle her and didn't have trouble keeping her on the table. They were able to get her nails cut in minutes! We are so grateful to Anna and everyone at Mell's grooming for getting her nails cut when no one else could. Everyone there was great and we can't say enough good things about the care they took with our dog. If you have a challenging pet when it comes to nails, Mell's is the place to go!

Usually has most things in stock even hard to find items that you can't find in chain stores like Petco etc. , and one thing they have that doesn't exist in a chain store ---EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Anything you need they're extremely helpful and happy to find or get. I had my dog training classes here, and that's how I started coming to this location; but I have to tell you the customer service from the store is unrivaled. If there's something you need, just call and check on it. They're happy to check in stock, They also have a website you can order through that too, 99.9% of the time what you're looking for is a stocked item,and on the rare occasion that it is not or you have an item as I did a special cat food recommended by the vet they did not have on the shelf they called another location, had it there for me the next day! I also have a bad back and I cannot carry large bags of dog food for my dog....put my back out once they had the food delivered to my house free of charge which is a service they offer as well; if I go to the store, they are happy to bring it to my car for me if needed. In short, go here, I highly recommend it.
