We tried CBD, and medication to calm her and we were still unable to have anyone actually get them cut. We heard about Mell's Grooming and called on a whim. They told us to come down and they would get it done. We entered and everyone was very friendly. They were grooming 3 other dogs and were still able to take us. Anna helped us and got her right up onto the table. Unlike everyplace else, they didn't need to muzzle her and didn't have trouble keeping her on the table. They were able to get her nails cut in minutes! We are so grateful to Anna and everyone at Mell's grooming for getting her nails cut when no one else could. Everyone there was great and we can't say enough good things about the care they took with our dog. If you have a challenging pet when it comes to nails, Mell's is the place to go!

My dad and stepmother are very meticulous when it comes to Shane's wellbeing and health. They will not settle on mediocre establishments. The Fur Machine is miles above mediocre. My family has been using the Fur Machine for Shane's grooming needs. The Fur Machine, as evidenced by their high rating average, is a reputable grooming shop that provides a sundry of services for dogs and cats. My firsthand experience with this highly reputable business took place last week when I visited my family. A couple of days short of Shane's one year anniversary, it was time to give him a haircut. He is a labradoodle that requires a lot of grooming. When we arrived at the Fur Machine, an enthusiastic staff greeted us. They seemed to adore animals. Shane seemed to pick up on this positive vibe. This visit was on a busy day. The enthusiastic woman who took in Shane promised that he would be ready in two-and-a-half hours. Keeping to her word, a newly groomed Shane was ready by the promised time. If Shane could Yelp, he would say that "The Fur Machine did a fantastic job grooming me. The before and after photos are evidence of the remarkable haircut that the Fur Machine gave me."

Where Genovese Drugs had fulfilled the needs of humans, Pet Supplies has fulfilled the needs of their pets. This pet store features aisles of dog, cat, and pets essentials, live fish,small animals, and reptiles, a grooming salon, and more. My Dad and step-mom have been here many times for the needs of Shane, the family labradoodle. On some of their visits, they have picked up Blue Buffalo and used the grooming salon to trim his fur. When my Dad and step-mom are away, Shane is uncomfortable around strangers. During the recent grooming session, Shane was acting up causing it to end early. Their groomers were professional and refused to charge my Dad and step-mom for their time. The first of my three visits here was with my dad to pick up Blue Baffalo for Shane. After this visit my Dad told me about the cute kittens up for adoption. This is what brought me here two more times. On my second visit the kittens were adopted. On my third visit here, when I walked inside then made a right and proceeded past the front registers, my heart melted when I saw the black kitten in the cage. It was so tempting for me to walk out of here adopting the kitten. Unfortunately, I live approximately 3,000 miles away. This is a pet friendly store where customers can walk around with their dog. I walked around here with my step-mom and Shane. Shane even befriended a feret up front. From the two times that stopped by here, I find it kind of neat that there is a superstore appearance at the same time there is a mom and pop vibe. The employees here were friendly. One of the women working in the back asked to say "hi" to Shane. The store is an enjoyable place to browse. I enjoyed looking at the kittens for adoption, the live fish, reptiles, and small animals. I also enjoyed watching the dog explore a store that was the equivalent to me exploring Toys R Us when I was a child. Seeing him look at the aisle of bones was like seeing me walk through an aisle of Hot Wheel cars during my childhood. As far as value, the price is most likely going to be higher than the chain discounter. However, there is the value of the Community having a mom and pop pets superstore where decisions are made locally instead of at some faraway corporate office. The mom and pop running Pets Supplies Plus Lake Ronkonkoma are obviously doing something right since they have been in business since 2010 and I am the latest of several Yelpers giving them Four Stars.

Usually has most things in stock even hard to find items that you can't find in chain stores like Petco etc. , and one thing they have that doesn't exist in a chain store ---EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Anything you need they're extremely helpful and happy to find or get. I had my dog training classes here, and that's how I started coming to this location; but I have to tell you the customer service from the store is unrivaled. If there's something you need, just call and check on it. They're happy to check in stock, They also have a website you can order through that too, 99.9% of the time what you're looking for is a stocked item,and on the rare occasion that it is not or you have an item as I did a special cat food recommended by the vet they did not have on the shelf they called another location, had it there for me the next day! I also have a bad back and I cannot carry large bags of dog food for my dog....put my back out once they had the food delivered to my house free of charge which is a service they offer as well; if I go to the store, they are happy to bring it to my car for me if needed. In short, go here, I highly recommend it.
