Fast and efficient check-out this Saturday afternoon. You will find most pet supplies here for your dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, and more. They also have adoption, training, grooming, and pet hospital services. When you order online, you can have it shipped home, or you can pick up at the store within a couple hours. Often, they have extra promotions via the app if you order and pick-up at the store. I always get great value from their rewards program. Overall, I had a good experience at this location.

I overlooked the last couple experiences (dog still damp and ears not properly cleaned) mainly because of the convenient location, but alas, I can no longer tolerate it. I dropped off my pug for an 8:30am appointment today. All he gets is a bath and a shed experience. In the past, it has never taken longer than 2-2.5 hours. Today, it took 4 hours. No communication/updates were provided. I stopped by the store at the 3 hour mark inquiring about my pug since I figured maybe they forgot to call and they said that they hadn't even brushed him yet. I get that it can get busy on weekends, but taking into consideration that I was one of the earliest appointment slots (before the actual store even opens)... for my dog to not have been brushed 3 hours later, is horrendous. Although this location is very convenient for me, I cannot, in good faith, give Petco my business any longer. TLDR: Grooming services are terrible. Do not entrust them with your dog's life. Long time customer lost.

She always double checked how short I wanted his hair and always references the notes the staff takes on his last trimming. The haircut is absolutely perfect, the nail trimming is expertly done, and my dog comes home looking clean and beautiful. The entire operation is super professional, organized, and always timely. Would love to see price increases calm down so we don't get priced out of affording their services. With that said, we still keep going because it's hard to find the level of service and good to great grooming technique used by the Spaw. They managed to fill up both sides of an entire aisle with a large variety of brands and proteins for dogs. I've never seen a variety like this at other pet stores. I went to the snack aisle and was pleasantly surprised (again) by the variety of items that I haven't seen before. I walked away with dried rabbit ears, a huge pig ear, and wild caught dried Baltic fish. I will be back to try out more things for my pup. There's toys but a small variety. I've done online pickup orders at multiple locations, but this Santa Ana location prepares them very quickly and usually has the best stock compared to other stores in Orange County. Another thing I appreciate is that Petsmart lets you return dry food as long as at least half the bag is left. My kitty, who has cancer, has been struggling to eat, and we've tried so many brands and types of food just to see what he'll take. It has been super helpful that Petsmart's return policy on opened dry food is so generous. For wet food, they won't take it back if it's opened. Keep it up, Petsmart!
