    Adrian, and the Gabriel staff are amazing! They're the type of staff for whom a new tenant would look-- knowledgeable, patient, and highly-helpful. I couldn't ask for more, regarding my recent move. Everyone made it an extremely smooth transition, and I am quite grateful. This is the jewel of the area.

    Great apartment complex- new everything! I could not be happier with my selection: 1. Juls and Adriane are so friendly, helpful, responsive, attentive and approachable for all issues. 2. I have seen Juls and Adriane interact with current and future potential residents at such a high level of customer service. They represent with such class and helpfulness; this is a direct reflection of the team-work approach. 3. The Gabriel is safe, new and has amazing amenities. 4. Most of the tenants are peaceful and friendly; there are always a few knucklehead exceptions.

    Two more break ins in front of my assigned parking... this is so ridicules. The first one i saw i was coming back from the gym at night and called patrol since it looked new. Patrol was saying how theres many breaks in and hes trying his best to catch the person. The second photo was yesterday before i went to work.... I just dont understand why The Gabriel cant put up cameras inside the resident parking garage. They should invest in safety instead of weekly food trucks and $1000 referral bonus. Patrol also feels like there should be cameras. I always feel so unsafe and always on edge every time i enter the parking garage ):

    Never ever to move in The Gabriel apartment, they colluded with the towing company to get you out of your money! We've contacted The Gabriel via email on June 15th to ask for additional parking space and also replied on June 17th to decide to take a parking lot. The residents who living here understand that there are limited parking spaces outside the apartment, we decided to pay an additional $100 per month for parking, and the apartment said will reply as soon as possible to prepare a parking space for us on Jun 19th. Waiting for half month didn't get any reply. Until July 3rd, my sister's car was towed away by the towing company they called, without any notice message. Because she came back late on July 3rd, it was already past eight o'clock in the evening, and the parking spaces outside were full, so she had to temporarily parked at Vistor Parking, office was closed and we couldn't get a permit at that time. Also they closed on July 4th, so when we contacted them today July 5th with Adrian, he didn't provide real help, he kept explaining for the apartment instead of trying to figure it out for us and let us to pay for the towing fee. We paid for towing fee today to get the car back. That's so frustrated. In this case, they supposed to help us to waiver the fee. Another issue is they overchaged me monthly payment and some NSF fees without any reason and they unable to reverse or cancel the payment. I have to deal with all issues by myself. We paid for service fee what's that for? It's so disappointed and we are planning to move out this rediculous apartment ASAP! Not gonna pay for them with this kind of service! Called The Gabriel resident service they told me not able to transfer my call to management department. They didn't help any but keep telling me to wait for call back. But never give a call back!

    It's never easy to locate somewhere to live. The information gathering and researching is exhausting!!! Thanks to The Amazing staff that has made this process easy for us to understand. Starting a new life in a new place was easy-going because we trusted all the office staff. We love you guys and thank you again for all you do for us at the Gabriel. Haliey Adrian Shanique Luis And all the rest of the staff!!!

    The apartment itself is built nice. I never had an issue with the apartment and amenities itself. It's management and security that makes this apartment lose all these stars. There are either residents, workers, a homeless person or SOMEONE that has been stealing multiple packages of mine and my finance that have been delivered. It's either delivered into someone else's locker or the package system is down and the people delivering cant deliver it properly, so they leave it in the mailroom and it gets stolen by another resident or mystery person. I do tend to order more than the normal person, but when you're spending your hard earned money on a "good" apartment with a "high security" (whatever that means) I expect to have ALL my packages delivered correctly. Nobody wants to lose money for their packages and nobody wants to keep reaching out to the merchant to try and get their money back for something that was CLEARLY delivered in the mailroom. I asked for a security footage- they "cant figure out who's on the camera", I asked for them to send out some type of email- completely ignored. I was also told that "since the package was delivered incorrectly" they can't do anything about it, after I spent days waiting for a response, mind you it was THEIR SYSTEMS THAT WERE DOWN. And they're ALWAYS down btw. I have now officially lost an order of $350 worth of vacation clothes that were stolen just a few days for my vacation. I only could get back about $100 of the order, and that was just the merchant being nice. I can't believe how greedy and selfish people can be. And to smile in my face about the entire situation is beyond me. How are you going to charge people for things that don't work? And this place has a lot of hidden fees- so just be mindful before you move here and be prepared to have to get your items delivered to a PO Box, relative or some other inconvenient way other than the "system" that's a few floors away from you. Also, I'm still waiting for some news.

    How I left the apartment when we moved out

    We received our deposit last month April 2024! Waited 5 months. This has been the worst experience. Hoping no one needs to go through what we had to go through just to get our deposit back.

    This is a beautiful complex! I was helped by a wonderful gentleman name Darren. He gave me a thorough tour of the property and all that it has to offer. He answered all of my questions and was very patient with me. I am looking forward to possibly calling The Gabriel my new home. It gives me more confidence knowing that there will be a helpful, honest and reliable person in the office like Darren. I HIGHLY recommend requesting him when visiting and inquiring about an apartment at The Gabriel.

The property frequently experiences disturbances late at night, making it difficult to enjoy any peace and quiet in your own home. Common areas are often not maintained to an acceptable standard, and issues such as pet waste, pests, and unpleasant odors have been recurring problems. There have also been concerns regarding safety and security around the property, yet meaningful action often seems delayed or nonexistent. Residents are expected to continue paying high rent while dealing with conditions that do not reflect the price being charged. Communication from management can be inconsistent, and getting updates or resolutions to reported issues often requires repeated follow-up. Overall, the lack of accountability and attention to resident concerns has made living here a disappointing experience. I expected a much higher standard of living and customer service. Unfortunately, Monterey Station Apartments has fallen far short of those expectations.

    I'm having a hard time believing some of these reviews are real. I've never written a review like…read morethis but I've also never lived in an apartment with such a careless leasing manager. Since moving in about 6 months ago my experience has been a nightmare dealing with Rats and huge roaches (there's been other issues but these are the biggest problems). There are rats living within my walls. The scratching and thumping coming from the bedroom walls (upstairs) keeps us up some nights. My children and I are completely disgusted, and horrified to think one of these rats will make its way into the apartment. Ricky is fully aware of my situation as I am constantly keeping him up to date with emails including videos of the sounds from my walls and photos of roaches and rats, even though I don't get a response I am still sending him emails. Pest control came out twice but the problem still persists as their only solution was to place more traps and rat poison outside of my apartment, but that doesn't stop the rats from entering into my walls. There is no sense of urgency to find the entry points and close them. I've asked what the next step is to solve the problem, no response with a solution. I finally got a response from him a couple of weeks ago after I sent yet another email about the problems still persisting and explaining that I was ready to write an honest review due to the lack of solution, and his response was him defending himself stating he has sent pest control out and that there hasn't been any recent rat activity detected on their end, sounded like he was insinuating that I'm lying. Clearly there IS recent rat activity as I am still sending new photos and videos of the rats and roaches. Pest control has sprayed my apartment, but it's done nothing for the roaches. Waking up to huge roaches every morning has been depressing, my son recently saw one on his pillow so he slept on the couch because he was grossed out. Moving here was a complete waste of my time and money and I'm counting down the days to move out of here.

They also maintain the landscaping very often. The beautiful part about living here is that everything is within walking distance. Stater Bros has been almost a weekly visit and being able to walk to Regal Edwards in less than 5 minutes is awesome. There's also a few gyms in the area as well as a Target down the way. If you're feeling hungry and do not want to cook, there are a few restaurants you can check out. Down the street is Old Town La Verne with nice shops and even more restaurants. I think the best part of this place is how great Erik's help was when my significant other and I moved in. He made it absolutely easy and left a great impression on how living here would be. He was helpful, kind and personable which eased our minds as we made the transition from our last apartment to this awesome place. He made sure to answer our concerns quickly and always asked if there was anything else to make our stay much more comfortable. You know how great a place will be when management goes above and beyond. We are excited and looking forward to our stay here. This place is great!

Time after time, he's proven that he's truly a gift to the community. JOSE - One of the Maintenance Techs that usually comes by when there is an issue is always friendly and helpful! And we never got reimbursed for damage to our belongings. They always told us to claim it on our renters insurance which would raise our premium. They flooded our apartment 3 times in 5 years. Also parkiparking is very hard to get. Good luck getting a garage. We tried and was on a "list" despite new renters getting a garage before us. When we complained, they would tell us we were never on the list. We tried to not cause waves, cause we wanted to be good renters. But, after constant rent increases. Despite pomona having rent control they priced us out. And we were forced to move. Also the appliances are very outdated brown cabinets and a 70s stove. Unless you get their renovated apartments which cost more. WALLS ARE VERY THIN! I could hear my upstairs neighbor having relations every month. Or when their alarm on their phone would go off. Or if they got a text even. Believe what the other reviews say. The 5 star reviews are from people they ask to do when they move in or they are def paid. I know cause they asked me to leave a 5 star review for a $25 gift card when we moved in. They have a crazy move out policy where if you move out, you have to pay the remaining balance for breaking your lease. Which is super hard cause if your lease is up in January then technically they want you out by February. Which we didn't know. Pool rules are a bit harsh. Can't have birthday parties for your kids which sucks. Can't invite family to have fun for a day. No clubhouse to rent either. And no playgrounds so def NOT family friendly. Cars are always getting broken into, catalytic converters being stolen despite their "security" which in 5 years I've never seen. Also good luck finding someone in the office. And if they are they are lazy. As we moved out we seen 5 families look at the apartment next to ours and not one employee accompanied them. They gave the codes to the apartment and let them find it. The apartments are not disability friendly. If you ask for a first floor there is stairs. Second floor stairs, third floor, guess what? more stairs. Good luck getting food delivery or any other packages aside from Amazon. Cause the buildings are so confusing that packages are constantly sent to other addresses. And because their staff is so out of touch. No one knows or talks to eachother. Their is no neighborly love, so people keep your packages all the time. It's an, every man for themselves vibe, despite the food truck Thursday's and the staffs treasure hunts during holidays. There is nothing that really brings the neighbors together. Having a pool party day with a dj, Or a playground for the kids, or something that actually brings the neighbors together was organized maybe people would be more friendly. But if you love a hermit lifestyle, then you'll live this place. 2 stars for the nice view and fireplace. Everything else is not worth the headache
