Easy to talk to and took good care of me. As for living there for so long the maintenance staff was always helpful and efficient. But through the years things started to decline. The computers were down, fire pit never working, spa dirty or not working, and the over all aesthetic. If you live near building K The dumpster is ALWAYS overflowing due to the restaurant waste. Trash would be piled on the ground and smell. Not the best way to start the day especially because rent is not cheap. 5 stars Denise 5 stars maintenance 0 stars for upkeep and cleanliness of the grounds.

I've been here for 3yrs and it was a great place to live the first year and a half. After that, completely downhill like a rollercoaster at the fair grounds. Bumpy and rough. Thinking when is it going to break down. 2025 was the beginning of the sh** show. Water issues started happening. No water for a day or two. They stopped providing poop bags for dogs for months. Poo was everywhere. None of those poop bag trash cans were empty for weeks. To the top Security cameras don't work. None of them. One man got his truck tailgate stolen. Then another his motorcycle stolen. People have gotten their cars broken into. Asked for a light for my carport above my truck. A year later still nothing. In the dark 2026 water issues again. Then the big one. No hot water for 6 days. They throw bandaids on everything. They fixed my shower floor not the bathroom floor shower floor the second time and come home from vacation after 8 days and the job wasn't even finished and closed the work order. Chemical dust everywhere from the plaster and concrete they did in the shower. The WHOLE unit was covered in it. Like if you jack hammered some concrete in my place. I asked for a sliding screen door for what happened and nothing. They didn't even talk to me after the issue the next day. This place is not worth the money anymore. If you move here, stay for one year just to lay your hat. It sucks because I love this town of La Verne that I grew up in and at one time enjoyed calling this place amber ridge, home. My lease is up next month so good luck to everyone at amber ridge. This place is rotting... The units and from within management. P.S. Anthony the maintenance guy is a good dude. They also maintain the landscaping very often. The beautiful part about living here is that everything is within walking distance. Stater Bros has been almost a weekly visit and being able to walk to Regal Edwards in less than 5 minutes is awesome. There's also a few gyms in the area as well as a Target down the way. If you're feeling hungry and do not want to cook, there are a few restaurants you can check out. Down the street is Old Town La Verne with nice shops and even more restaurants. I think the best part of this place is how great Erik's help was when my significant other and I moved in. He made it absolutely easy and left a great impression on how living here would be. He was helpful, kind and personable which eased our minds as we made the transition from our last apartment to this awesome place. He made sure to answer our concerns quickly and always asked if there was anything else to make our stay much more comfortable. Unfortunately we did outgrow our unit so we recently had to move, but I'm lucky to have called this place home for 3.5 years. While most of what I have to say is positive, there are a couple of issues that I think are worth mentioning: -For a 1 br, there is little/limited in-unit storage space. The water heater and the washer/dryer (even though I loved having an in-unit washer/dryer) take up a lot of potential cabinet space. -Some neighbors are not very considerate when it comes to respecting reserved parking spaces, or picking up after their dogs. -We found a lot of spiders finding their way into our unit. At the end of the day, I'll definitely miss this place and will always consider The Pines as our first family home.

We lived at The Artisan for 7 years in two different apartments. Our first apartment (2018-2023)…read morewas the second building in from Indian Hill and was not yet renovated, but great. We were very happy there. During one particularly rainy season the ceiling leaked over the stairs but the roof was quickly repaired and it never happened again. In May 2023 we moved to a larger 4 bedroom in the building just west of the pool. We regretted this move almost immediately. In the new apartment we experienced a roach infestation and rats in the walls. Rats could be seen running around the property during the day and at night. There were also rats eating the walls inside our garage. On top of this, giant horse flies were entering our home from the attic space through a light fixture. Water pooled inside our dryer when not in use because it shared a vent with another unit next to us. Nothing could be done to fix this. It took hours and a lot of electricity to dry a single load. We experienced two major floods in our kitchen from a burst pipe almost one year apart from each other. The first was over a holiday weekend and no one responded to our plumbing emergency for hours. The remodeled new cabinetry had to be cut out and replaced and holes cut out of the wall under the sink to access very old pipes. Cardboard was placed inside to block the hole until it was repaired, however at least one rat (that we saw) managed to get into our apartment during this timeframe. The AC didn't work at all upstairs during the summer and our kids were miserable. The last thing I will mention is that the water bill was astronomically high every month. It's my opinion that there must have been leaks all over the property that renters became responsible for since all property water usage was divided between residents. Parking was limited. Once we got home from work we stayed home for the evening otherwise we would usually lose our parking space. There's no overnight parking in the city of Claremont. The property itself was quiet and peaceful. Generally safe. It's a nice place to live if you have a dog. The landscaping was always attractive and pool well maintained. The surrounding neighborhood is nice to walk in. "Luxury Apartments" definitely didn't describe our experience the last two years of living there, especially for the steep price.

The kitchen is all your basic cheap laminate. Theres crown molding that only goes through half the living room and the appliances are crap. We went through 1 microwave, 2 washers, and 3 dryers. The first two dryers killed so many of our clothes because if a shirt had screen print on it the dryer would catch it and twist it up and it would have to be yanked out between the door and the part that spins the clothes. Only the downstairs units have the hard floor and door bells. The side exit gate is always broken and it would stay open for months. There's already a transient problem in that area. You have people constantly trash diggin through the dumpsters and homeless people walking in and riding their bikes through the property. Also we've come across them sleeping on our stairs at night. No night security and tons of people without parking passes would park in the lot. My car was keyed the first year living there. Constant calls to Upland PD cuz of all the ghetto people in our building fighting each other and yelling outside at 2am. The only cameras on property are over the office. And at the gates. My car was involved in a hit and run in our parking lot and the office claims they could not release or let us watch footage of the person who did it nor would they look. So instead of being able to catch who did I I had to pay for my car to get fixed. The front call box never works. I know this because my friends dropped off my kids after school during the week and could never get in. So they would have to wait till someone let them in or came out. They didn't have maintenance for a bit so having anything fixed was a waiting game. They had someone really good running their maintenance team the first few years we were there. He was the only awesome thing about that place until I heard the manager let him go. The office staff has been a revolving door as managers have changed and staff were constantly new. No one ever answers the phone or returns your message. The last 2 years we were there they hiked the rent up 10% yearly. In this complex you have to pay for trash, water, sewer. I've lived in many other apartments and never paid these things till I moved here. Also if you move out, don't clean. They take $200 out of your deposit to pay someone to come in and clean. I'm still dealing with the office on the amount we owe after move out. Even though I paid for the days on the portal I'm still being charged for more days. Plus your utilities are two months behind. So even though we are no longer there we have to pay 2 months of utilities because of their system. Stupid! Don't recommend.
