My beautiful wife and I went to breakfast this morning, and enjoyed more of a Brunch at The Garden Coffee at 25th Street and Bell Rd. We weren't in the mood for a typical eggs and potato breakfast, and The Garden Coffee did not disappoint! I'll start with the coffees we tried. I had the Banana Bread Latte... it was wonderful. My wife had the Tiramisu Cloud Latte, and again, it was great. For the brunch, she had the Basil Bomb Panini (chicken pesto sandwich served with mixed fruit) and she loved it while I had the Power Steak Bowl with cilantro lime rice (Do Not Miss This, it was amazing) We went there because we'd had breakfast delivered from there by Doordash a week ago where I tried their Wakey Bakey Croissant breakfast sandwich (croissant baked on site) and truly had to have more of their food. The staff is so friendly, the food is incredible and the place is beautifully serene and very clean. It was truly an excellent dining experience at a breakfast/lunch joint. Ive been on the fence about writing this review. I really dont like to go out of my way to say anything negative about a business, but Im doing this in hopes that this business will take note and consider making some changes. And if they don't, then Im hoping someone reading this reconsiders before they waste $20 on two drinks. You could go to Starbucks for those prices, and it might even be cheaper. I ordered a banana bread iced latte this past week, and I was extremely dissatisfied. My partner also ordered a beverage, and we spent $20 on some really below average drinks. My iced latte had a gorgeous presentation, but it ends there. There was absolutely no coffee in there. It tasted as if there was maybe one shot of espresso. And if there was two, then I have to assume that loading it up with milk and tons of cold foam on top was doing it a major disservice. I feel that this business has spent its budget on beautiful interior design, and creating a really interesting menu, but the delivery is just not there. You really cant tell me youre going to charge me $9 for a speciality coffee with no coffee in it. This is so overpriced, and so underwhelming. Its evident that literally anyone can open a coffee shop, but not everyone can make coffee. I live in the neighbhorhood and I would love to see thriving coffee shops and really had hopes for this place. Please consider lowering your prices and adding actual coffee to your drinks. We don't need all this effort put into the presentation. We need the effort put into the quality of the drink its-self. There is room to improve here if you so choose to. If you're an actual coffee drinker, I wouldn't come here. read more

Specialty coffees are definitely worth it alone (they have alternativesto milk), but then I looked at the breakfast and lunch menus and these combinations sounded delicious and mouth-watering. The restaurant is clean, roomy, inviting with artificial plant foliage along the walls and hanging from modern circular lighting on the ceiling. The staff is friendly and professional. The prices are lower than other places - extremely reasonable! The food... oh my, Nutella waffles with caramelized bananas and walnuts for me and my friend had a flatbread layered with enchilada chicken, mozzarella, avocado and onions ..... pure culinary genius loaded with flavor! Delicious espresso and house made cold foam and caramel sauce. Best coffee I've had in the valley! The breakfast sandwich was $14 and I would've paid $22 ... huge portions, house baked croissant, and a delicious chipotle mayo made this sandwich excellent. The garlic potatoes were also remarkable. My partner also enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and a tiramisu coffee. We were both very pleased. Also, the interior is what I call "instagrammable" in the best way. Warm, bulb lighting and greenery, and also cool LED lighting. Seating was varied; with booth style seating, tables, loveseats, etc. there's something for everyone. I would come here for a weekend breakfast/brunch, or even a casual WFH day with my laptop. Beautiful decor inside a very large space. I ran out of creamer at home and decided to give this place a try as I drive past it often. The baristas were welcoming & offered suggestions for me. My drink was good & the whipped cream on top was a nice addition. This place is AMAZING!! The food. The coffee. And the owners!! They take their time to craft the perfect drink and it shows. Their food is equally made with care. I have had the Tiramisu latte, banana bread latte, Aztec mocha latte, cherry bomb fizz, and a lychee carbonated drink and each one was better than the next! And who knew eggs could be so delicious! The service here was horrendous. Like, customer service skills need fine-tuning. The older lady who heads the café is a bit rough around the edges. She is argumentative and displays difficulty with receiving constructive criticism pertaining to essential and critical things that would enhance the overall customer experience. Less ego and more humility, to say the least, is a great start in the right direction. I recently had the opportunity to try this place out during a lunch break I had. The coffee is very good and they use Infusion beans which is always a plus. Service is super friendly and the gal went through all the menu items with me! There is a good amount of comfy seating but my only qualm is that there are only 3 chargers for guests to use and one of them is inset so it doesn't work with any newer apple products because it is so narrow. Once there to pick up, it seemed unorganized and took a long time even though there were several employees who appeared to be available but one woman kept telling them to work on other things. The place is spacious but doesn't seem to have enough seating. I ordered a sandwich with fresh fruit and the fruit smelled as if it had been washed with bad/sewer water so I just couldn't eat it. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. I ordered the Avo Bacon Roller and the wakey bakey croissant. The avo "BACON" (its in its name) had only ONE HALF strip of bacon, none in the burrito and it was literally full with just eggs and one small slice of avocado and cheese. The croissant had 2 thin slices of ham and a ONE INCH layer of eggs on the sandwhich. I get being a new restaurant can be expensive, but don't skimp online customers. I didn't even get to try anything. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and came in to use the restroom first. The cashier (probably manager or owner) said something like 'it's for customers but sure I guess'. I understand that, so I was willing to get a decaf tea when I came out, but she was very emotionless and seemed like I was bothering her with my questions. It was really pretty and my grandma and I were on our way back to flagstaff, I haven't been to phoenix in awhile let alone that side of phoenix, seems like that area is still rough even with a nice cafe like that. I love local cafes up north so I was excited to try one in an area I grew up in! But that was discouraging and I wasn't even in the mood to try anything anymore. She instantly reminded me why I don't miss that area. Starbucks was right around the corner and cheaper though, thankfully. I'm not the type to complain about how I'm treated especially at fast food, but it was the bare minimum of just being nice in customer service. I hope the cashier has better days read more
