Decided to go to First Watch since I was familiar with the franchise after going to one in Houston. This location is within a rather small parking lot which seems to be dedicated to First Watch, we were able to find a spot near the back of the lot but it was quite crowded when we arrived around 11am. The interior is pretty long with a large number of seating inside the building so we had no trouble getting seated right away by the hostess. We decided on food relatively quickly due to previous experience with the business, however, our waiter never came around to take our orders or even give us water at the table. We saw one girl with dyed hair who unassumingly could have been our waiter since she was in our section but only worked with one particular table and ran to the back after each time, but never addressed our table or came by. We eventually had to flag a different waiter down who was able to help us place the order and service us for the rest of our visit, she also informed us that this other "Waiter" was supposed to help us but she wasn't sure why she never made an attempt to do so after having us wait 20 mins and other tables were being serviced. We ordered Flordian French Toast and Elote Breakfast Burrito (plus a couple sides and drink) which were both really good, and filling. Prices weren't too bad for what we ordered and was able to take our mind off of the rather long wait to get helped. Not sure if we'll come back to this particular location again, but it was nice trying the restaurant out another time. read more

The atmosphere has a little something to be desired with all the traffic and the location isn't perfect when you're on the frontage road between two busy streets, but I also understand they can only do so much. First Watch is always on my to do list when I visit AZ and this visit was wonderful like the rest. The lemon ricotta pancakes had me, a certified pancake hater, eating half the plate before I realized what was going on. The blueberry lemon cornbread was to DIE for and one of my favorite seasonal menu items. The kale tonic drink also hits the spot and charges me up for the day. Stopped here after landing in Phoenix while headed to the Grand Canyon and I am glad I found this place. Service was over the top friendly and warm. Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. My wife and I went there for brunch on Valentines Day. We set a reservation and was told it would take another 40 minutes at the restauran. Then after being seated we ordered our food and nothing came in over an hour. In the end we left because of other obligations never received our food. Update - we went back, everything still great but the smoked salmon Benedict wasn't great. The salmon quality was terrible. Dry and looking very orange dyed. I would still go back for the eggs and pancakes though. This is one of the few places that doesn't overcook the scrambled eggs. read more

First Watch's service has gone down in the last two years which is really unfortunate. We have ordered take out at various locations and their description and when we order for our kids, they always leave out the fruit. Their menu and photos very clearly show a medium sized ramekin with fruit, but they never include it. Children need fruit for good health and First Watch is not only providing false advertising but also insufficiently providing children with essential nutrients. read more

I was excited to see this restaurant next door to my hotel. It's not often I can find a location with fresh pressed juices. I walked on over after my workout and was greeted by the friendliest staff. They were even able to joke about sitting outside next to the construction, but I enjoyed being out there. The service was quick including the arrival of my order. The fruit bowl was simple and delicious. There was way too much butter atop the grits but I ate them anyway. I love potatoes and while these weren't bad, they were a bit burnt on the bottom and that also seemed to be where all the seasoning was, so it was a bit confusing my my palate.
