I love this place. The first time I came I was worried about parking because it's in sort of a weird spot, but parking is never a problem. The selection is good here and there are usually good sales toward early fall. Their employees are really helpful, which is the main reason this is my go-to nursery. Chad in particular was quite knowledgeable and provided guidance in terms of which plants to combine to get an optimal variety of colors, textures, heights, and bloom times. I did a ton of planting this fall and can't wait to see it all bloom next spring. :-) read more

I've driven past this place with curiosity peaked on many an occasion, taking the secret back road home from work when I-205 is a clogged up angryland. Generally, I'm in such a hurry to get home and as far away from the freeway as possible, I'm not thinking to stop in for some plant & produce browsing. But, the other day, the weather was great and the birds were singing and the sign finally got me. "AWESOME CORN!" it said. I bought 5 ears for $5, then threw in a thing of tomatoes and a couple of nectarines while I was at it. The tomatoes were the flavor of tomatoes you grow at home. All crazy-looking and mismatched because they're heirloom, and so, so good. I ate the whole thing that night. The nectarines I had to eat over the sink. The corn, as advertised, was indeed AWESOME. A friend who ate a cob with me said it was like buttered candy on a stick. The people were super friendly, and by the time I left there, I'd forgotten all about the freeway and the work, and all that troublesome nonsense. It's amazing what workaday ails an excellent produce stand can cure. read more

I went to Kordell's for my first time today and was super impressed! I was completely clueless about what I needed and was totally one of those annoying customers. Clinton helped me from start to finish - both in person and on multiple phone calls - to get my order placed for delivery. He was super patient and knowledgeable and I so appreciated his time and help. The other employees I interacted with were so kind as well. Awesome plant nursery, great selection, knowledgeable and helpful staff. I have just moved into the area and have a barren backyard that I need to fill with woodland plants. I was also looking for a dogwood or similar tree for my front yard. I'd been to another local nursery and been really disappointed in the plant selection. At Kordell's I found everything I was looking for and more! I bought a beautiful 7' dogwood tree. They charge $35 for delivery and said they could get it to me tomorrow morning. I also bought a range of ferns, wood anemones and other wonderfully healthy plants, a lovely white lilac, and a beautiful fuscia in a hanging basket. It's a haul for anyone not in West Linn, Tigard or Lake Oswego. Just out of downtown LO, it's still has that country feel, surrounded by rolling hills. We know our seasons by Kordells. It's an incredible nursery + produce stand with exceptional, helpful service and knowledgeable staff. EAT OVER THE SINK PEACHES. Yes. We bought those. Dozens of them. LOCALLY GROWN CANTALOUPE. Kordell's is unbelievable and I have been going there for 15 years. Their nursery is extensive and they are highly knowledgeable. I go mainly for the drought tolerant/native plants and I get asked all the time where my plants are from! I have also learned a lot from the helpful and friendly staff.
