Rude customer service!! I ordered paint on line it was the wrong color I started a return and had the label printed out took to the store and said the paint could not return it for it was tinted. It was the wrong color and it said no where on the paint it was tinted. It doesn't matter it was the wrong color in the first place!! Their screw up!! I want my 100+ refunded!! This outfit are crooks! I knew better not to buy anything from these fools. But Walmart wasn't gonna get it here fast enough. Google saves the day! Typically the employee responsible of that specific aisle, does not know the answer or have a clue of what I am looking for or trying to find. Google and YouTube works great for figuring out how to install or what part I need. The best thing Home Depot has done in the last year is update their app. Now when the app opens it locates what store you're in and tells you what aisle the product is located. GREAT! I guess this is because the associates do not know where things are? The bad part of this store is the over tilt to self check out. The Military discount codle is not on the app so you do not need to verify with an employee. Pretty soon, we will only have two workers in the store...LMAO read more

It was SO difficult to find what I was looking for at Home Depot. The seedum trays I purchased were SO expensive (and I was shocked because I'm thinking that the really bougie nursery that is very close to my house may actually have been LESS!!!) I also needed a new tap knob for a hose hookup. I asked more than one employee, before finally finding one who knew exactly what I needed. Then I get to the checkout and I had to run back to my car, as they didn't have Apple Pay or Samsung pay. Booooooo. Much more secure and much easier. We have been visiting this Home Depot store since we moved to Oregon. At first with a new house that needed a lot of work, we must have been in this store 3-5 times per week if not daily some months. As time has passed, this is still a favorite store we stop into regularly. Wether it be for Home tools like a variety of DeWalt products to purchasing small plants for my small winter, spring or summer garden; and purchasing even more plants since I've learned that I love gardens but I don't have a green thumb!' This store is a regular stop on the weekly to do list for small to large household items. It's a must for any homeowner!! Home Depot also had a great app you can for load to use to find exactly what you need in the store. Type in your product and it will not only direct you to the isle but the bin location as well. However the review can help you choose between locations -because some locations are well staffed and stocked than others. This one feels like it can go either ways -in the past few months I have been here multiple times and it has been a hit or miss. Buyers beware! Home Depot bait and switch on their 0% interest for 2 years!!!!! If you don't get it in writing on your own copy don't buy! Last July I purchased a floor installation - my decision was based on the offer of 0% interest for 2 years for the purchase. After 6 months they began charging interest, and when I called to protest when I noticed they said it was too late to fix the problem because the 6 month promo was expired. I told them that they had made a mistake since the promo was 2 years, not 6 months. After 3 phone calls and 1 with a manager on 4/14 and 4/15, it was made clear that they just did not care to make it right. I paid off the balance, and am closing my credit card with them. Lowe's and Ace Hardware are now my go to destinations. Not sure why Home Depot posted that comment on today since my repeated attempts to get help from that customer service number have failed over and over. I tried again today (4/16) after seeing this comment - same result. Bye Home Depot! Update - 5/5/24 - Home Depot reached out and said they had listened to my calls, and found a clerical mistake. They realized I had paid off my account, and said they had credited my account back the interest that had been charged to me. They said I could call Home Depot Customer Service and request a check for that amount, which I did. I just received it. So - to be fair they did finally come through. This place is a total joke!!! Do not try to rent a truck from these morons!! We made a reservation a week ago for a 12 foot truck. Show up no truck and they tell us reservation system doesn't really work. Basically it is first come first served! The store manager and kids working in the rental department were actually laughing as we drove. Never shop there or ever trust this location again!!! I was in the Tigard Home Depot this morning (4/30/25) around 10am. I asked HD employee if they had any graffiti remover. He told me no, it was only sold online. He basically blew me off. However, I went to the paint department and was told where to find it. There were several products to choose from. The employ was an older, tan, man with a gray ponytail and I believe a beard. He couldn't get away from me fast enough or I would have a better description. I don't usually do reviews but I always get good help at this store. read more

One visit with one particularly helpful Manager and my entire concept has been colored for Tigard Home Depot. KATHRYN, with a "K" bent over backwards to help me with a sticky issue of purchase/return/repurchase of $500 of shrubs. She manages the front end and solved my problem with the transaction. While doing so,, she pulled over a trainee to show him (swiftly and seamlessly) how he could do it in the future! She told me to meet someone to help me load the shrubbery into my vehicle. I assume they were short handed, as KATHRYN met me outside and she helped me and sent me on my way. You may have, as I have, wandered Home Depot and phone trees and life looking for someone to help you. This much I know, Home Depot has the right person in charge of the front end! More than that, they should eventually have KATHRYN manage and train all Home Depot's in the Portland area. Rarely have I found someone as competent, efficient, kind to her reports, helpful in any business! But more than anything she was willing!! Well done, KATHRYN! Help on the floor at Home Depot is what it is... nothing exceptional. What does stand out is their tool rental department. Sometimes you don't have the right tool for the job. Instead of buying the tool it is so nice to be able to rent it. For a Home Depot, this location seems to be one of the cleaner with items on shelves neat and organized. There were several employees throughout the store offering assistance, clearly I looked like a deer in headlights! Found the items I needed and was on my way to the checkout very quickly. When I saw the checkout line (was here during Pandemic) I took a deep breath thinking it would take forever to check out. Wrong! While everyone was in a single line 6 feet apart, an employee directed the line to the open cashiers or self check out, cleaning the machines after each customer, and busted through the line! We were out of there in less than five minutes. Plenty of parking out front, similar to all Home Depot's. The garden area was well stocked with bushes, shrubs, vegetable starters and lots of colorful annuals. For those with a yard, 2920 is the year to plant a garden! Whenever will you have so much spare time?! Overall, very good experience. read more

Is it posible to leave 0 stars? Because our saga is, well . . . The worst customer service experience ever. This is a story of a multitude of fiascos - and it is too long for a Yelp post; suffice it to say, poor customer service added to atrocious customer service has led us to the place where we have $3,000 in new laundry appliances in our garage . . . having ordered them over a month ago - and no timeline for when they will finally be placed in our home (a service we fully paid). At one point I phoned store 4002 with the hope of reaching some level of resolution, and had one of the most disheartening phone calls with a retail sales associate. She berated me, scolded me for calling the store and not LG directly, and told me in a very coarse tone that I "needed to calm down or she would not help me." At one point, she threatened me when I asked to speak with a manger; and finally informed me that I could "calm down and take a moment to really consider what I wanted, or face the consequences of talking with someone [a manger] who would not help me." I do not wish to damage the reputation or standing of this store associate. I just want a meaningful resolution. This has been a terribly frustrating experience. And, all we want is operating appliances in our house. Alas, that seems a distant dream with the customer support we've received. All I can say right now - we will never purchase anything from a Home Depot ever again. read more

The customer service here is terrible. They have associates walking all over the place but they act like you are putting them out when you stop one to ask for help. We waited outside by some gates for quite some time after being told someone would be out to help us. Finally someone came out but stopped to help load a few pieces of wood into a truck when there were already 2 associates there loading. Then, the guy walked right by us and walked around the parking lot. My husband got frustrated and we left. Just prior to this we witnessed a customer ask an associate for help and the associate's response was, "I'm working". This location needs to work on its customer service skills big time. One of the guys who has been here for years is our go to for appliance purchases and recommendations. His stories crack me up and then I come home with a new appliance! We also rent tools here as well and our guy was so attentive and friendly to chat with! This review is for the Home Depot in Tigard but manager Madeline is the reason for the 5 stars. Madeline, you are amazing! We bought a grill from the Sherwood location and it was faulty. We used it twice and it never worked again. I called the manager on duty at the Sherwood location on June 22 and he told me that because it was past the acceptable time frame for return or exchange, that "there is absolutely nothing we can do to help you and we will not take it back." That didn't sound right to me so I immediately called the Tigard location and asked to speak to the manager. Madeline got on the phone and made things right. Home Depot should be proud of Madeline because she has undoubtedly increased the bottom line of her store by her actions with me and others and certainly with the residual sales from this review alone. Keep it up Maddy and you will accomplish whatever you desire in life. read more

I've been to this store a lot more then I would like during the past year since I bought and sold a home. The house we sold needed some fixing up to make it sell in this competitive housing market. The house we bought needed some updates to make it our own. I would say shopping here is a mixed bag. I usually need assistance (how very female of me) to locate at least one of the items on my list, and they always seem understaffed. It can be a challenge locating an associate to help you. And when you do find someone they aren't always terribly helpful. Now this isn't to say I haven't had great customer service on occasion, but I've had lousy service on at least as many occasions. I've used there services twice to have linoleum and carpet installed in my home. I've also ordered custom blinds. The linoleum experience was pretty bad because Home Depot is the middleman and uses contractors, but they won't let you contact them directly. In our case, when we called to reconfirm the installation date, they didn't have us on the schedule and had to scramble to get a replacement (after much grousing on our part). The installer they sent was excellent and the job was great, but you don't want to have to spend hours on the phone to get that result. The carpet was our most recent experience and that actually went pretty smoothly, but I was surprised how long it took to get the carpet to the store, since it isn't in stock and they have to order everything. We had friends who used them for a kitchen remodel and almost ended up in litigation, so I caution using them for large projects. Today I ended up at the Oregon City location which wasn't very crowded and had a helpful clerk in the lighting department. So I might be switching to that location if I can't find a better alternative. On the plus side, I love the self check-out and the large selection of painting supplies. read more

This is the bestest Home Depot. It makes other Home Depot/Lowes locations suck, so thanks to this place, my expectations of what I'd get from a hardware megastore are now way too high. Before I bought my first house, I went into a hardware store once a year if that. It usually involved me walking in, getting lost, and getting very frustrated until I could find an available employee who was usually some high school student that knew little more than what aisle range the item I sought was located at. If I had a problem and didn't know exactly what I wanted to buy, forget it. After the house, I felt like I camped here for several days, and my experiences were NOTHING like they were several years ago. When I walk through the door, there were two greeters ready to help me find something. When I asked where something was, the employee would walk me to the aisle and help me locate it. I also got to talk with several very knowledgeable employees who really knew their stuff. I could present issues and show them photographs off my iPad and get solutions and recommendations on what needed to be done... a complete 180 to my previous experiences! The returns department has always given excellent customer service when I stupidly purchase the wrong thing. I could order things online on my lunch break and have the items waiting for me for pick-up on my way home from work. They host free workshops on home maintenance and I got some great advice about my deck. One day I saw they had an "ask a certified plumber" event that allowed me to get some great free help on how to repair some leaks in my sprinkler system. When I bought my carpet, the employee helping me dissuaded me from trying to buy the more expensive padding I picked out. "With the carpet you picked out, if you get this padding, it's going to be TOO soft and feel like sand when you walk across it." The carpet I wanted also required several weeks for it to get shipped, but they had some that was of similar color and texture from a cancelled order that they were able to get to me immediately and at a discount. The people here are just great and I've returned several times since. Finally, I've got to give them two big thumbs-up on their dog-friendly policies. read more

They had some inexperienced people show up that didn't speak English and they refused to even start the carpet install because there were a few small things I needed to put on the balcony. They want $400 to come back out and have me waiting all day. Lots of stress and I'm being scammed out of $3000 because they want to refund me only $1000. Total fucking scam and waste of time. Complain about how the carpets dirty and don't want to touch dirty carpet even though it's their job to replace it. They have you waiting all day for whenever it's convenient for them to show up if they even show up at all. I will probably have to sue this place to get my $3,000 back or may even lose my $3,000. NEVER go they Home Depot for any remodel big or small. None of their employees are educated on correct info for the questions you will have, they are not helpful and in fact will ruin the outcome of your project 98% of the time. The contractors they use are literally the bottom of the barrel. We have fooled ourselves numerous times thinking we will use them out of convenience but this last time was the last straw as we are now at least a month past our very simple make over due to their contractors, shotty materials and extreme lack of customer service, in fact they don't even answer their phones. Word to the wise go else where and if you don't be ready to stress, wait and add at LEAST 2-3 weeks on any simple home project. We have FINALLY learned our lesson and realize the quality is just not worth the convenience. read more

The incompetent and deceitful management staff of Home Depot were by far the hardest part of building a deck. Every lumber order I have placed has been delivered with the wrong type or size of lumber. They keep leaving the lumber in my driveway and refuse to pick it up. It has been weeks and I have been denied access to my garage where my cars are. I was able to level the foundation of my deck, build the frame and attach joists in a few days, but it's been weeks that Home Depot has plugged up my driveway with random pieces of wood. They have state that they have "scheduled" multiple pick up dates, but as the dates come and go, no one ever comes. I have spoken with multiple "managers" and each one is more sorry than the last. They won't even refund the delivery fees for each order even though they don't deliver the items I've ordered. It is very clear that they do not care about your home projects just as much as they don't care about their job responsibilities. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE We ordered a new workbench (almost $600, order #H4002-309009) from the Tigard Home Depot on August 1. We paid $79 extra for delivery and $20 on top of that to require a signature on delivery because we didn't want it left outside unattended. Delivery was scheduled for August 3 because the purchase was a gift and that was the gifting occasion. On August 2 we were notified that the delivery had been rescheduled for August 5. The explanation for this was that Tigard didn't have a built workbench so they had passed the order to another store, and that store didn't have a built one either so it went to still another store which couldn't deliver until August 5. The problem with this explanation is that the Tigard store where we bought the workbench had several sitting out on the floor. They are still there. So why is the store saying they didn't have one? We tried calling for a better explanation and to see if Home Depot could change the schedule back in order to not ruin the gift giving. After a lot of waiting on hold and being transferred, someone who claimed to be a manager said he could change the delivery to August 4, which was better at least, and also offered to drop the $99 in delivery fees. We accepted this offer and arranged our schedule to accommodate delivery on August 4. We also got an email confirming the changed date. But within about two hours we got another email changing the delivery back to Friday but now at an even later time. The item was delivered on August 5. Of course, no one asked for our signature but luckily we were home even though it wasn't during the delivery window. And of course, the $99 delivery fees have NOT been refunded. Home Depot is my favorite hardware store and I still highly recommend them. Just not this store not at all. Good luck getting a hold of anybody on the phone, I live 45 minutes away and when I call I get transferred around in circles for about 15-20 minutes before the call drops or I get transferred to somebody who recommends I just come in since they are busy. I turned in my saw about a month and a half ago as instructed by Ridgid's warranty department. I did this once before with the Mall 205 Home Depot and my experience was great. When I dropped it off at Tigard Home Depot it was a little rocky. Fast forward a month later hearing nothing I get a call saying my saw did not have a Ridgid Life time warranty on it. I informed them It did and they told me I would need to get a Ridgid LSA number. I was not sure what this was so I got a screen shot from my Ridgid account and tried to call 3 for about 3 days getting transferred in circles. I would get transferred to tool rentals it would ring for a few minutes and then I would get transferred back to the costumer service department who recommended I make the commute to see them in person since they were busy. I let them letting them know I had proof it was covered and showed my Ridgid account proving it, they said I would need a number from Rigid proving it and not my online account. I called Ridgid the next day and got the number from ridged, they seemed confused that I needed a number in the first place. I called Tigard Home Depot again and had the same circular transferring in circles for a few days until I got a hold of somebody who told me I had to talk to one of the techs about it and they were not in until the following day. I called again and after a few days I was able to get ahold of somebody who said they would take down my LSA number and my information and I would get a call the next day with more information. Halfway through the next week I did not get a call so again I tried calling and got transferred in circles. I tried getting a hold of somebody throughout the day hoping I would be able to get through, I then got ahold of somebody who said they would have a specific Tech call me back. He didn't call so I came into the store to meet with him, they told me they would send my saw out the next day to get it replaced. It has been about a week and still not update, when I get time out of my day I will drive to Tigard Home Depot again to get a status update on my saw, because that seems to be the only way to get ahold of somebody although it's a gamble if the one person who knows what is going on is present. I have spent 8-10 hours of commuting, being on hold, talking with ridged and waiting in line trying to figure out what is going on with my saw. To be I am still a loyal Home Depot Customer, I highly recommend you take the extra 20 minute drive to the nearest Home Depot and avoid the Tigard one. read more

This store's management does not follow through on its committments to customers. Back story: the absolute worst customer service experience of my life! Romanoff (who installs home depot carpet) did an awful job installing our order (leaving huge gaps we could put our hands into around the baseboards) and when I called to have them return & fix it, they took a week to respond. They tried to say some gapping is normal, but we had actually used this company on our rental property, and although they really banged up the baseboards & left a lot of debris we had to vacuum up in the hallways, the carpet was properly installed. In this instance they cut our pad and carpet too short in certain areas, broke some of our baseboards, left black fingerprints all over our white doors, didn't put all the fixtures back, and didn't fully secure one of the transitions. It was just a low-quality, poor workmanship install. And when someone finally eventually got back to me, we scheduled the repair & arranged childcare/pet care (during Covid), and then the technician no-showed. Romanoff wouldn't return my calls or emails when I tried to contact them after the no-show. Their installers actually no-showed not once, but THREE more times for the repair. Four no-shows in total! And when they actually had someone show up once (after no-show #3) he only gave a half-hearted hourlong attempt to fix & promised to come back with help the next day (which was no-show #4). Our issues were very slightly improved, but never fixed. Romanoff employees also lied to us on several occasions over the course of our extremely painful debacle - which lasted more than two months, taking us from late October all the way through the holidays, our family of four living out of suitcases into the new year - all the while being repeatedly stood up. After being more than accommodating trying to schedule our repair, we gave up & accepted compensation - (which was also quite a circus to receive) - although Romanoff management had assured us they would BOTH fix our issues and give compensation. They never addressed our issues & Home Depot only gave us 25% back - not coming anywhere close to addressing the extreme inconvenience & terrible experience we endured. To make matters worse, the install manager told us they would pass along any additional funds from Romanoff. After I spent several phone calls negotiating with romanoff they also agreed to give compensation, but later The Home Depot walked back that committment & pocketed the funds I negotiated on their behalf instead of passing those our way - as they had assured us they would. Truly unbelievable! Especially from a large company that should be holding their contractors accountable & taking much better care of their customers. read more
