Newer rink or so it seems. Nice facility and very clean. Pretty easy to get to and easy parking.

The next morning my daughter asked what happened when she pulled back the covers it looked like dried up pee stains or I don't know what kind of stain to be honest. I do have pictures of it. And one of my wash clothes I used smelled like cum. Just a disgusting room. To think I checked into a dirty room and payed almost $800 for a three day stay in an unclean room just made me so mad. I will probably never stay at another Fairfield. The way they handled it at the front was even more disappointing. The head of house keeping didn't even apologize, actually...no one apologized, except for Arika the following day. Housekeeping came in and when she saw it, she said, "oops" I said that's more than an "oops" she then proceeded to start putting a sheet on top of the mattress cover. I said, I'd like the mattress cover changed as well and she walked away then the front desk called and asked for me to leave the room while they changed things. I wasn't about to leave the room because I wanted to make sure everything was changed properly before I lay down to sleep at night. Then when she was done, she threw the pillows back on and I said can you please change the pillowcases and by this point, the head of housekeeping had come down. And then she came in and started changing the bed angrily and fast and when she left, she said "I have a blessed day" that was so passive aggressive, I know what that means. No one ever once apologized even when she was in the room she didn't say I'm sorry that your room was not stripped and cleaned. I think the icing on the cake was when I had a washcloth that none of the other towels smelled weird this one smelled like semen. Unacceptable! I do have pictures of everything too.

The bed was not the most comfortable to me but my husband said he slept good. The bathroom was nice- the shower stays hot for a long time which is always a plus. The free breakfast was decent and nice that we didn't have to eat out for a meal. They were having multiple key card issues on our last day so they had to keep letting us into the room.

Shadowland Ballroom - Covid wedding reception in outdoor tent

I wish we could give 6 stars on "flexibility" because Shadowland certainly earned extra credit…read moreduring our pandemic wedding planning journey! I can't say enough good things about this venue and staff. I wouldn't wish our Covid wedding planning stress on any bride and groom, but I will tell you from personal experience, Shadowland will stop at NOTHING to give you the best wedding reception possible! We were the classic "had everything planned out pre-Covid" story, so the Covid curveball really forced us to revise all our plans. Shadowland worked with the state on what the current guidelines were, and kept us updated with every change, giving us our options and telling us what to expect. Our venue wedding coordinator, Rysa, was so responsive with our questions, and truly made us feel like our wedding day was as important to them as it was to us. Having an August 2020 wedding, we were unfortunately constrained to an outdoor reception, and although it was crushing to not be able to us their beautiful ballroom, I cried happy tears when they informed us they would be putting up tents for us outside so we could still host our reception with them. With so many cancelations and changes, it was a huge relief to know they were still in our corner and not going to give up on us! Not only did they stick with us, but they went above and beyond to make sure it was amazing. One perfect example of their attention to detail was the color-coordinated bracelets they provided for guests to display their social comfort levels at the reception. This was a huge hit during an event where we had many guests of varied preferences. I would have never thought of this, but it made ALL the difference and was one less thing for me to worry about on our wedding day when we were giving out hugs and hellos. I will admit, even though we didn't choose it on purpose, the outdoor "tent on the beach" feel was actually pretty great! The guests loved being able to walk down for sunset pictures, and it was fun dancing under the stars. Fortunately for us, the one thing we did NOT have to change was our food choices because Shadowland provided all the catering. There were so many great meal options available at our tasting that it was actually hard to pick what to serve on our wedding day, and as expected, everything was delicious! We received many compliments on the food. Our wedding reception was absolutely perfect, even amidst the ongoing changes, and i know we have Shadowland to thank for making it possible.

I cannot say enough positive things about having our wedding reception at the Shadowland Ballroom…read more For starters, the staff is FANTASTIC. Nicole and Jasmine made the entire planning process so easy and fun. I didn't have a wedding planner or coordinator, so it was helpful to lean on Jasmine for questions or advice. She was organized, responsive, so sweet, and helpful. Even with my crazy type-A personality I was able to relax on my wedding day knowing Jasmine had everything covered. We had 150 people and the ballroom was a great size for that. We used the patio for cocktail hour, and that was a hit. We had a second bar on the patio for cocktail hour as well. The food was great; we got a lot of compliments and it was so easy to have catering through Shadowland. The ballroom was beautiful. The only thing I didn't love was the chairs at Shadowland, so I went with gold chiavari chairs from www.chiavarichairswedding.com and they were fantastic and really made the room look great. I recommend using their preferred vendor list. It was so nice to have vendors who were familiar with the staff and layout. We used Ben Pancoast photography and photo booth and Music Unlimited for our DJ. They were terrific. We rented the carousel for 1 hour and it was a HIT. Our wedding was 21+ and the adults loved it. We definitely needed the full hour for the 150 guests to get our photos done first. We also loved the Mock Wedding shadowland throws for their confirmed couples. It was a great way to meet vendors and see the space in action. THANK YOU Jasmine and Nicole for making sure my husband and I had a perfect wedding day. It really was the best.

We left a window open for an entire day, and it smelled like that on our whole 4 days stay. It was disgusting and off putting. Also, the AC smells very wet, which made it smelly musty while using the AC. Also, steer clear of the free coffee. We found a used condom in the bathroom wastebasket, reported it immediately, and were told to dispose of it ourselves. We also documented visible mold, rust, a broken bathroom light, an inoperative thermostat, missing toilet paper, and an air conditioner that ran uncontrollably throughout the night. After submitting photos and a formal complaint, IHG acknowledged that the room did not meet its cleanliness and maintenance standards. Despite that acknowledgment, our request for a full refund was never resolved, and we were offered points instead. We hope our experience encourages higher standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service for future guests.

In addition, we wanted to use our credit card points so our selections for this weekend were slim but overall this checked all the boxes. What went well was that our room was quiet. There was 24/7 coffee/tea available in the lobby. the space to walk the dog was really nice as there were two locations on either side of the buildings. Additionally enjoyed the set up of the room and the amenities such as the body wash and the hand soap. There is some room for improvement at this location in regards to breakfast items. It was very continental and really didn't do the trick however we were able to enjoy bagels, toast, hard boiled egg and they did have a few varieties of fresh fruit. In particular, I wasn't really a fan of the pancake machine and the traditional waffle iron would be much more hardy and suitable. Overall, no major problems with our room however, the TV system is unique and sometimes it works, and sometimes it didn't often to look at Pluto versus even accessing the live channels as their entertainment system is kind of finicky. Additionally, the lotion dispenser in our room did not work, and I really wanted to try the lotion as I thought the fragrance for the body wash and hand Soap was very pleasant. Lastly, the workers at this hotel are just not very friendly. They're not rude. They're just not hospitable and that was evident from the front desk to the breakfast attendance to the maintenance person. They just were not very friendly or engaging at overall. If in this area again, I would stay at this hotel if the price point was right. overall it was a good value and close to St. Joseph while having the charm of Stevensville.
