Honestly, son and I had lunch here as a "Plan B" because our selected restaurant was closed for dine-in. I had mixed feelings about the Garlic Knot Express location near us that has been closed for years now. But our lunch here was fantastic! I was very critical of this pizza joint many years ago. The pizza was inconsistent and very greasy. I ignored them for years even though they are just a few minutes from my house. But this past month I've tried them twice, and wow, what a difference! They are so much better than what I remember. Their pizza is no longer greasy, and instead has a fresh, wonderful flavor that is far superior to their former offering. And it seems they have a much greater selection of pies. This is a chain, but you wouldn't know it. The Garlic Knots on Colorado Blvd is quite good and has really good service. It was a great place to take clients for a quick lunch, and they always left happy. We did not have the same experience at this location. It seemed disorganized and the pizza wasn't as good (wtf?). The staff seems perennially unprepared for multiple customers walking in the door. Finding a clean table and then tracking down your food can be an experience. Perhaps we'll try this location again once it's focused on customer service like the other locations. I can get crappy pizza served with an attitude anywhere. read more

I never write reviews but felt the need to warn others before dining in here.. The pie we ordered tasted and looked like a Chuck E Cheese pizza, but we were pretty hungry so we ate. Half way through our meal an employee started mopping the dining room floor right near where we were eating.. the smell of the intense chemicals made us lose our appetite and couldn't believe they were getting ready to close at 8:30pm when their website said they closed at 10pm. We thought we had time to enjoy our meal but clearly not. Since we couldn't stand to eat there any longer, I kindly asked the waitress if we could have our check and asked what time they closed because we could be the rude customers dining until last minute. Our waitress said they closed at 9pm. Online it shows they close at 10pm. Either way we needed to get out of there ASAP because of the horrible smell AND clearly the staff were ready to go as they didn't mind mopping during our meal! After we pay, the waitress hands the tip portion to us and proceeds to stand here while we sign and says, "I'll just stand here and grab the tab when you're done because I really need to get out of here". We left 2 mins later and they still had 20 mins before close. Very disappointed and will never return. Not even at another location. read more

Just don't do it. What could be better than White Pizza, buffalo wings and garlic knots? Nothing, but make sure you get it ANYWHERE BUT this place. The ricotta was not melted, was super spongy and tasted just terrible on the cardboard crust pizza. The chicken had been so over cooked on the wings that it was stiff and crunchy and seemed like it had just been tossed into some sauce. And, even the buffalo sauce was terrible, it was runny and tasted bad, not spicy, but bad. The garlic knots tasted good with the marinara dipping sauce, but smelled horrific. They didn't smell garlicy, they smelled kind of burnt, which they weren't, so beats me where the smell (that has not left my living room) came from. So, just say NO to the Garlic Knot. read more

This place reminds me of my high school pizza hangout. The pizza is really good and the service staff is really friendly. There are lots of people dining here on a friday evening. Mostly families and patrons of the karate school next door. I had dinner here with my wife and we ordered a medium peperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza. The sausage was a bit crumbly, but this did not take away from the deliciousness of the pizza. I wasnt a super fan of the garlic knots, but just because they were TOO garlicky...they definelty are not advertising incorrectly. I have to give extra KUDOS to the staff for going the "extra mile". We got The Mott on a white pizza. It was bland overall. The white pizza tasted like it had ricotta cheese on it and no Alfredo, which is what I typically expect for a white pizza. Garlic Knot used to be a pizza that I would tell everyone about. Over the last year I have noticed a serious decline in the quality of their pizza. Keep in mind that I have worked retail for over 20 years. I POLITELY complained to the woman on the phone, and apparently she/(the rest of the staff) took it as a pass to fix the problem to the other extreme. For example, if someone complains about the "extra cheese" barely covering the surface of the dough, then that person gets a practical-joke amount of cheese. My wife received a groupon from work for this place so we went. The pizza came out and instead of putting onions on one side they put it on all the pizza. We had the student waitress take it back and as if we couldn't hear the snotty little girl she explained out loud to the cook that we never ordered it with onions on half. I've been to this place several times & I always liked it. First off, you'll never get NYC pizza in CO, so don't even think about it. What makes NYC pizza so great is the water from the Catskills they use to make the dough. In any case, the pizza here will satisfy. Not too greasy & not too floppy. Has a nice thin crust. The meatball sandwich is for sure my favorite, good sauce & nicely toasted bread. One thing I don't like about this place is their garlic knots. Where is the garlic? Is just tastes like a toasted knot w/ butter..or sometime some sort of weak garlic powder. To me, if I don't see chunks or minced REAL garlic on it... then it ain't a knot. Not only were they not fresh, they didn't even seem like they had been made that day! When I brought my concern to the manager on duty, she offered to 'reheat them'. Thirty seconds later they were returned to me, only lightly warmer and just as hard with no offer to remake them. I will not be returning. I just wanted to give a great review because i recently placed a delivery order and when a pizza with the wrong toppings got misplaced for mine they were quick to apologize and remade my pizza so it was fresh, even though they had already made it and just got it mixed up, they even offered me the slightly older pizza.
