Guilty as charged. When I'm hungry...OK, I'll admit it, even hangry at times...I miss out on some photo ops. Makes me sad to not get the beautiful presentation of the food. Such was the case here. Honestly, son and I had lunch here as a "Plan B" because our selected restaurant was closed for dine-in. I had mixed feelings about the Garlic Knot Express location near us that has been closed for years now. But our lunch here was fantastic! Though it's casual with ordering at the front before sitting down, it was a great dining experience for us. From ordering to being served and checked in on, we had absolutely no complaints. Here's the photo apology--the finishing touches on our dishes was top notch. Portions were plentiful, from the toppings on son's Pizza, to my salad, to my chicken parm.

When you don't wanna cook and you're wife is horrible in the kitchen - it's time for some delish take-out from the G-Knot. You can't go wrong with the meatball sub and the kids love the baked ziti....and oh the dressing on the Greek salad is dreamy. Affordable - tasty - and quick! Love me some Garlic Knot! I wanna roll around in. Just wish they accepted coupons from other GK locations - that's weird to me. Cheers!

Great pizza... Skimpy on toppings though... hardly any mushrooms!! And we ordered X2 mushrooms! DISAPPOINTED, twice in a row. First time, we gave them the benefit of a doubt, but now wondering why aren't they giving us what we paid for?!?!?

The unquestionable star of the show was the barchetta- it was a big piece of their crust, stuffed with ricotta cheese, spinach, mozzarella, and garlic. I could have eaten this for breakfast lunch and dinner for the rest of my life. It came with marinara sauce but it was totally unnecessary. The Italian margarita also had a strong rosemary flavor that was interesting and different with the sweetness of the margarita flavors. The martini was excellent too. The montepulciano wine was a bit dry but totally drinkable. The saporita pizza didn't come with cheese, which we thought was just... standard on pizza? If the sauce and the crust weren't so stellar, it would have been an issue, as it was it was fine but worth noting. It looks like we could have added cheese had we asked. Our server was sweet, upbeat, and checked in the perfect amount of times. I really adored the use of wine bottles throughout, especially at the bar. So pretty and right on target for a wine bar. Highly highly recommend, and will be back to try the rest of the menu.

The place is small, but nicely decorated with New York sports memorabilia as well as a few nods to Seinfeld and, of course, the five boroughs of NYC! The calzones are $16 so I was hoping it wouldn't be a few bites. It came out and it's a 2ft calzone cut in half. It's big enough for two meals. The dough to stuffing ratio was perfection. It was cooked well and the dipping sauce was delicious. The pizza was such a unique flavor and I love NY style pizza. The jalapeños definitely added a kick and would highly recommend this pizza if you like a bit of spice. Ordering was easy at the counter. It's not a very big restaurant. They had about 7 or 8 tables inside and a few more outside. Be warned it is not the most toddler friendly. They don't have high chairs so you basically hope you get a booth and trap them next to the wall. It'd be a wonderful spot to grab takeout though. They're fairly busy, but we got our food in a timely manner. This is going to be my go-to spot for calzones now.

The chargrilled oysters, a salad, and a glass of wine are always a must for HH. The bartender, H, and the manager, M, immediately recognized what was happening and stepped in quickly, handling it with professionalism, grace, and care. Experiences like that matter, and it reinforced why I enjoy coming here. The service is consistently top-notch, and the staff genuinely looks out for their guests. It was already busy with many people inside and the outdoor patio tables had a little bit of a wait. The bar seating also was pretty full. Lively atmosphere overall. Our server was friendly and attentive. She made sure to check in on us after every course was delivered. We ordered a couple items off the happy hour menu - pizza, oysters from Virginia and toasted ravioli. I was surprised only 4 pieces of ravioli came for $7. I guess that's a fair price but not a great deal for happy hour. Oysters were nice and fresh. Pizza was just okay. The tuna crudo was a little heavy on the balsamic sauce. I usually like a lighter flavor but the jalapeños were fresh and spicy. Overall, I probably wouldn't order these items again but I'm glad I tried them and wished I had seen pictures beforehand. I had a glass of the house Albariño white wine which was delicious. It was a nice pour but just okay value for $9 happy hour. Next time I don't think I'd hurry here for their happy hour but I still would come during regular hours. The lasagna bolognese is one of my favorites but I do notice smaller portions and the garlic bread accompanying it. I get the pressure that restaurants are facing but i still appreciate they provide an overall good dining experience and will still support them by returning!

The server was very friendly and we started with soft drinks and an order of mozarella fritti, which is fried mozarella served with their homemade marinara sauce. The serving sizes of the food is worth the price. My husband usually finishes his food but couldn't finish the Stromboli because it was packed with ingredients and it was pretty big. My chicken fettuccine alfredo was a larger serving than what I would expect from Olive garden. Alfredo sauce tasted authentic and I love the texture of the noodles. As for the spaghetti dish, I really enjoyed when the waitress asked if we like thick noodles or thin noodles. They have a variety of pasta in house and it was nice to have a decision on that. Their garlic cheesy bread was amazing. I was intimidated on getting the cheese melted on the garlic bread at first but I'm glad I did. It hit the spot. For dessert we had the flourless torte. It is not dry but is very decadent. The waitress describe that it was small but it was a perfect size for the price. The richness, the softness, the texture was phenomenal. I can't wait to pick up a pizza one night and bring it home. Despite some of the bad reviews, I'm glad that we tried this place.
