This place is a gem. Located in Littleton, (Southside of Denver) they have excellent pizza. Crust is thin under the sauce, cheese, and toppings. Pizza crust light and full. Even worthy of honey if one likes the mountain pie ending. Their house wines, beers, and tap are diverse. But the bourbon and tequila are off the hook. Can sample as a pour or enjoy as cocktail to an extent. There is usually sports on the television. Sound muted. The ambience is great music of the years past. Staff friendly and attentive. Nobody in line and still took 8 min to even be recognized due to others being attended to. Ordered. Sat at mini bar. Beverage requested. Never received. Whatever. Never got charged. BS. Followed up to check on order. Gal at front went back to check. Zero acknowledgment of order. All peeps went into back. Had a powwow. Now our order began. Complete disorganization. Cook didn't know what goes on what. Food sat forever while other food got cooked. Would absolutely not recommend this place. Seems toppings are almost non-existent on our recent order (2 medium pizzas- 1 Mac & cheese & 1 pappadew). I was surprised when I picked up the order it was over $40 for just those 2 medium pizzas (Found out later it should have also given us a free breadstick order but no mention or offer- guess I would have known if website order was working but called them instead). But toppings are a major reason we likely won't be back soon (At least for the cost! Don't mind paying for quality but that wasn't the case). See photos! read more

So after living in the SW metro area for 25 years, I had an itch for pizza on a solo Friday night. I was hoping to belly up and get a pie, but found Southside wasn't really the place to do so. Its bar is more of a "waiting spot" for to- go orders, seating 3 or 4. Not being in a hurry and having heard great things about their beer selection, I grabbed a booth and perused the "beverage" menu...and decided upon a Industrial Arts Hazy DIPA...Nice!...The pleasant waitress took my order for my go- to pizza....Mushroom, Onion and Sausage.....and the wait began, while enjoying this brew. The simple Pizza joint decor was perfect and complemented with a couple of TV's to entertain those not writing a Yelp review while enjoying their DIPA......Ahhh, the anticipation grows.....How will the Southside Pizza stack up against all of the hundreds of Pizza's this CT based Foodie has sampled over the years?..The Verdict?....Good!....The Crust (The foundation of all Good Pizza) was better than I expected. It could have been a bit crustier and a bit more flavorfull (salt?)...The Sauce and toppings?...A little...and I mean a little, weak.... Overall: The waitress was super pleasant and attentive. The Pizza is good, but needs a little more kick...Maybe a splash of Olive Oil with Oregano, and it would have achieved another Star in my review. I've been going to Southside Pizza for over 10 years. With the new owners it was always really good. But on Sunday for my B day we went. The chicken wings were very good. But the pizza was not that good. The Supreme, was supremely greasy! Never had supreme from them that oily and the dough was a little underbaked. It had an odd taste. My wife's pizza which she has always eaten or taken home. She left behind after 2 slices. If you went to other sources for your product to make pizza . But it can be tasted. We had eaten at Southside Pizzeria a few years back after some kayaking at Chatfield and were satisfied so we decided to pay another visit a couple of weekends ago after seeing Christmas lights at the Chatfield botanic garden event. Seating inside is limited but we were able to secure a booth on this visit. The staff are attentive and friendly. Willing to offer suggestions and give you all the time you need to make decisions. We ordered the spicy buffalo and a southern belle. The crust was thin and crispy, the size was good. Two pies were enough for 4 of us. Flavor was spot on. When you walk into this place it looks like a to-go counter where you'd pick up your pizza order and leave. Then you look to your left and see a full bar and realize they are planning on customers hanging around the place. When you walk between the front counter and full bar you come to a cozy dining room. It's got 4 booths on the left side and 3 tables on the right. There is also a TV at either end so you don't miss the game while you eat. Being our first time, we tried a few different things. We had the Southie salad with raspberry vinaigrette, the meatball submarine, and a small cheese pizza. And because I hadn't had them in a while I started the meal with cheese sticks. It was a lot of food and we brought 1/2 of it home (because Italian food just seems to get even better overnight). Everything tasted fresh, they were generous with their cheese and I liked that their marinara dipping sauce for the cheese sticks was thick and flavorful. Our server (maybe one of the owners?) was very attentive, but not overbearing. All in all, it was an enjoyable feast for lunch and we won't hesitate to try them again, or maybe next time we'll get one of their pizzas delivered. read more

After passing by, we decided to pull over and check out the menu on our phones as we're always interested in exploring new restaurants in hopes of finding our new favorite place. We noticed they had a mac and cheese pizza which caught our attention, so we decided to give this place a try. We ordered the mac and cheese pizza with a half BBQ Chicken pizza and and an order chicken wings. The mac and cheese pizza, if it weren't labeled as such, would have a been a decent plain cheese pizza with a few twisted noodles scattered about. But, since it's advertised as a mac and cheese, it was a letdown. There were no macaroni elbows, and it didn't resemble mac and cheese in flavor or texture. It was extremely underwhelming. The BBQ Chicken pizza had faint hints of BBQ flavor, but not nearly enough to stand out, and to make things worse, the chicken wings were soggy and lacked any crispiness. Overall, the food was disappointing and failed to meet expectations. Inside the pizzaria, there's a sign that reads "People come in as guests and leave as friends." The pies were just as advertised and the food arrived in a respectable amount of time. Everything was cool with the delivery guy too. Actually, they were kind enough to ask if it was okay if he came to the door of if we wanted a more COVID oriented drop-off. I appreciated that extra step and care to make the offer. Aside from nothing being especially notable about the pies, they did miss an ingredient on the pizza. We'd ordered something from the menu and asked for sausage to be added. The southie salad is arugula with pecans and apple. It was really good; not dressed too heavily (who likes a salad swimming in dressing!). I would be that the guy was an owner; it just seemed like he loved the beer and the food and was glad we were there to share it with. My wife and our adult sons with spouse decided to have supper together at this restaurant last night as it was a convenient location for all of us from the Denver-Colorado Springs area. The location was very convenient in the Wadsworth Blvd/W. Chatfield Ave King Sooper's shopping area on the SW side of Denver just to the north of C-470. The location was convenient, parking was tight but adequate, the outside of the restaurant was interesting, we were welcomed upon entering as we enjoyed the delicious pizzeria aroma in the air, there was adequate seating for us (group of 5), our server was patient, helpful & efficient, the menu was quite varied, our meal (a large "50th State" pizza, large "Compton" pizza, large "Southie" salad, & Cheesy Breadsticks) were served hot (not the salad!) and delicious, was reasonably priced, the large screen TV was on and showed interesting things, wifi worked, and the men's restroom was clean.
