It's a very small shop but packed with so much character and a carefully curated selection. The owner greeted us with such warmth. She explained where she sources items from- all over the world but a large amount come from artisans in United Kingdom. This is a perfect place to come get a gift for yourself or someone else. I found a candle holder which I have been looking for one. The owner gave some tips on how to burn candles in it which is so helpful. The store was decorated for the holidays and playing Christmas music. It was so great and I'm glad we found it and were able to find some amazing items. I will be back!

Don't let the stairs deter you from visiting as a ramp is located to the left of the stairs. It is slightly steep but manageable for most. You are entering two floors of gorgeous country, farmhouse, and primitive decor. Every inch of the two floors is staged beautifully. Most of the items sold have wonderful displays of how to use the merchandise. Wonderful ideas, and if you have any questions, just ask for assistance. The owner, I'm assuming, was friendly and answered all my questions. She allowed us to wander at our pace and not be underfoot. I was only capable of browsing the main floor today, but I do plan on returning to tackle the second floor stairs on May 6th. I love 95% of every display I saw. The merchandise is lovely, good quality, and makes an instant impact on your decor. Regardless of your decor, you'll most likely find something you can add to your home. One of the clerks looked it up for me at Walmart, even gave me the aisle number. All of this was wonderful, but the real reason for the review would be their lovely fabrics. I am a sucker for a locally owned / specialty type quilt shop and have been meaning to get in to…read morethe French Seam for a while - but they were never open when I tried! I totally understand that Covid has forced us a lot of businesses to adjust their hours and the way they run - and the French Seam was no exception. Luckily, I had a day off work recently and was able to get in on a weekday during their limited business hours. Let me just say this - they have some gorgeous fabrics. Quilting cottons are separated from the garment fabrics in the small front area and they have a few notions available. I love being able to look through pre-cuts and they had a good selection of fat quarters organized by color in rolling carts available for purchase. I was also told that there was a 'clearance' area in the back/warehouse type area - so I made a break for it (you had me at clearance!). Back there I was able to score a package of fat quarters for $3 (I was told it was because they were 'old' fabrics - but who cares?) and some other pre-cut yardage at a discount. SCORE! Back in the open 'warehouse' type area also appears to be where machines are located and perhaps where classes would be held (pre/post Covid). Of note, I think I may have thrown off the older, more conservative appearing lady working in the store with my appearance when I walked in, but the younger gal working the counter was very sweet. Overall, I was excited for my new-to-me fabrics to add to my stash and glad I got to check the place out as it is SUPER close to where I live.

The staff that was there when I visited was pretty young, which could explain the laid back vibe--but they were all very nice, helpful, and super knowledgeable, which was awesome. Starting with the not so great: - A downside to this particular place is that instead of choosing different scents to mix, they already have them pre-mixed. For example, champagne and clean linen scents are already combined, rather than letting you choose and mix them yourself. Since it's structured this way, it does speed up the process, but I will say there are still a few pre-mixed scents you can mix together that would probably turn out smelling great. - When I went to pick up my candle a few days later, I was disappointed to find that it was damaged. Not sure how it happened, but I was shocked when I unwrapped it to discover it was chipped. Even more disappointing was that the staff wrapped a damaged item without mentioning it to me. On the positive side: - It's BYO food and drinks, which we loved. My friends and I brought a bottle of prosecco, charcuterie, and quiche to enjoy. Our server let us eat, drink, and chat before starting the candle pouring, which was perfect for catching up! - Parking is easy - Gorgeous vessels to choose from - Reasonably priced They also have a little gift shop with an assortment of trinkets!
