I had a very poor experience. A portion of my project went decently well with normal glitches like poor communication and minor delays. One of those windows has already failed so I can't be sure whether it was a bad window or a bad install. The Glassman is not responding to texts and his voicemail is always "full" so you can't leave a message. After many attempts I have decided to let another local window company replace the window rather than pursue Chris further. I am hoping that more windows do not fail. The second part of my project literally never materialized. I ordered a number of windows in early September for December delivery. Chris was vague about the status of those windows until he showed up in February to install them and told me that they had been destroyed 7 weeks earlier in an atmospheric river storm where a truck had tipped over. He had not reordered them or said a word to me for seven weeks. He was not willing to show me photos of them. Eventually we agreed to a refund. His check bounced. Eventually I was able to cash it after he failed to show up at his own offices to give me a cashier's check. After posting feedback, Chris requested that I retract it as he explained some mitigating circumstances and insisted that my experience was much different than his other customers. I did take down the feedback and offered him the benefit of the doubt because he seemed sincere. A few weeks later, one of my windows failed and he surprised me by simply ghosting me after I gave him a second chance. read more

We had a glass shelf break in one of our kitchen cabinets. I did an internet search for glass replacement and The Glass Man was the first to pop up, being literally 3 minutes from our home. I called and spoke with the owner, Chris, gave him the measurements and made arrangements to drop off the broken shelf. Chris was so responsive to our emergency. While weed eating our Landscaper accidentally hit a pebble that launched into our brand new glass French door, the entire pane spidered. Called Chris and he was here within an hour, removed the broken glass for the safety of the kids and ordered the replacement on the spot. He came a week later, installed new pane that matches perfect to the other side and at fair rate. Highly recommend! Installed a dual pane window for me in 2019 with a 10 year (verbal) warrantee. the seal in the window broke after 3 years. Chris stated that he would not honor the warrantee and quoted a price two and a half times what he charged to install the window that was now no good. read more

Chris is excellent at what he does! He's the real deal!! I had a brand new screen for my sliding glass door - screen was supposedly made for sliding glass door, same brand and model as the door. Well, it didn't fit in the track. No one could fix the screen door slider until he came and knew what to do. My family home in Santa Rosa has older windows from the 1970s. I decided after my parents passed away to get the windows back in shape. Two windows had cracks in the glass, and several windows couldn't be opened because their rollers had degraded. Chris came and replaced the glass (single pane) for 2 windows and figured out a clever way to replace the rollers. He also replaced several screens that were torn. All this was completed in less than 3 hours and for a very reasonable price! So much better than having to buy new windows! (Chris came with a mask, and patiently explained what needed to be done, and completed work on over 6 windows and several screens super efficiently. I was impressed with his speed!) read more

Showed up the next day after my glass slider was broken. Price was a bit high and left some broken glass for me to clean up on the balcony and driveway after charging me for cleanup. I needed four panes of glass replaced in an old window. Chris quoted me a very fair price over the phone and stuck to that price. Chris did quality work and was careful to not make a mess in my home or outside. It was obvious that Chris takes pride in his work. I have never written a bad review of a local business before, but I want to warn other unsuspecting customers about the horrible work that Chris Giro (The Glass Man) is becoming known for. He arrived 4 hours late for an appointment, charged me $200 for rescreening 4 windows with my own screen material that I provided. A few days later, I saw that 2 of the screens were pulling away from the frames in several places. I could actually poke my hand thru the separation as it was so large. I tried contacting Chris to ask him to come back and look at/fix his defective work and got no reply. Then we had a major rainstorm and water came thru the separation soaking the inside window and carpet below, plus leaving dirt covering the window tracks. I tried two more times to contact Chris about this - I even sent him photos of the damage - and he never replied. My biggest regret was hiring him and trusting that he stood behind his work.  Please learn from my mistake -- don't hire The Glass Man!! read more

The Glassman. Chris Giro just a few days ago replaced seven windows in my home. He is very professional. The windows fit perfectly, they look fantastic. The outside framing is excellent. Chris, I would say is a bit of a perfectionist to say the least. The windows were immaculately cleaned prior to his leaving. All the old windows were taken away, and the clean up both inside and out was superb. I can highly recommend him to anyone who wants an A+ Installer. He was great in helping me chose my windows. He gave me cost alternatives, and overall was very pleasant to work with. read more

Chris showed up on time and evaluated my window problem. I have 2 8ft. windows in the front of my mobile. They were retrofits, improperly installed. My contractor had recommended replacing them with replacement windows. Very expensive! Chris evaluated the windows and recommended just replacing the two panes with failed seals and seriously caulking the exterior frames with Sidewinder, a sealant that stays flexible. He ordered the glass and when it came in he scheduled the install, did the job, even did some caulking on the inside...and saved me $1200 by correcting the problem, rather than replacing the entire windows. I will definitely use The Glass Man for any future glass problems I have. P.S. I showed him a problem shower door and asked if it needed replacing. He said no, showed me how to adjust it and told me that if I had problems doing that to give him a call. Another case of not recommending more than was necessary! read more
