We used Glenmar Studios for our wedding on 8/14/21. Melissa was our photographer and Russ was our videographer. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. The studio staff was fantastic from the very start. They were always quick to respond and they were accommodating when we had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic. When the big day came, Melissa and Russ were prompt and professional. They were also a lot of fun to work with! It was amazing how they blended themselves into the background during the ceremony and reception, so I'm sure they were able to capture all the great moments of the day. An all-around rock star photography vendor! First, Glenmar was incredibly accommodating around everything that happened with covid -- especially with us having to reschedule several times and dealing with the uncertainty of being able to hold the wedding that we planned before covid began. Second, Mike was an amazing photographer, who really knew what he was doing and did an amazing job tailoring what we wanted. This was our second wedding - and was pretty much just a celebration, since we got married in a microwedding the year before. Mike was so amazing in capturing the unique circumstances surrounding this event and did a lovely job getting some shots of our 3-month old flower girl! He was also super fun to work with. Third, Glenmar did an unbelievable job working with our other vendors -- in large part because they work together frequently (music, Swan Club, etc). I thought we chose a very accommodating and professional establishment when we booked with Glenmar for our August 2020 wedding. They even sounded very accommodating when we postponed to 2021 due to COVID. However, when I had to cancel my wedding in 2021 (7 months in advance might I add) all they were able to do for me was make me an 8x11 photo enlargement of my choice. We gave a $550 deposit and all they gave us was a $100 dollar credit for a photo enlargement. I'm so upset. I even asked if we could do a one hour photo shoot (totaling $395) using our deposit money so we could get some sort of pictures out of it. They said no. I'm so disappointed at this money hungry establishment. $550 stolen from us. read more

In response to the Glenmar's comment on my review.... Just to clarify my "event" in August 2020 was a small intimate exchange of vows in my backyard and NOT a 4 hour event at a wedding venue- so this would not have qualified as an event to book with your company. Subsequently- we did consider having an "anniversary celebration" since we did not get to celebrate with all of our friends and family in August 2020, which did not end up happening. It was a phone call simply to inquire about something we were considering. As I'm sure you can understand- these last 2 years have not gone as planned for the majority of people. Just wanted to confirm there was no events in 20/21 that your company would have been willing to cover according to your policy. I inquired about photographing the baby shower but I was told I was unable to use more than $150 of my $550 deposit as this wasn't 4 hours at a wedding venue. Again- this is the only negative review I felt I needed to leave out of my covid wedding experience as the florist, dj, and limo company were wonderfully accommodating with using their non-refundable deposits for other services they could offer, which is why I would recommend them to others and use them again. I was able to have the florist do flowers at the shower, I was able to get a ride to and from the airport with my non-refundable deposit from the limo company, and I was even able to have a photobooth at my baby shower with the non refundable deposit from the DJ company. Mike did our engagement shoot, photo and video for the wedding along with his team. He was so personable and made us so comfortable the whole time. He and his team were very knowledgeable about the venue (they were preferred vendors) and easy to work with. We loved the way our photos and video came out. They captured every important moment of the day - some getting ready, the full ceremony, cutting of the challah bread, both dances with parents, the 3 full best man/maid of honor speeches, a full performance of my college a cappella group, the cake cutting, and some fun dancing moments throughout the night (including one of my uncles, aunts and dad partaking in a hilarious Bohemian Rhapsody.) Not only did they do everything expected, but they really knew our vision and captured every single important moment for the entirety of the day. I feel so lucky that Glenmar understood our vision and we can watch back these moments every year and relive our wedding day. Plus, their package was one of the most affordable we found. My wife and I used Glenmar Studio for our engagement and wedding photography and wedding videography. We had a great experience with the management team and felt comfortable working with them from the start. Our engagement shoot photographer Tino was very accommodating of my wife's wishes as we met on the Brooklyn side near the Brooklyn Bridge entrance at 5am on a week day so that we could get sunrise photos with little to no car/bike/people traffic in the shots. He was extremely patient and worked well with us and then brought us around to some other nearby spots for more photos - staying with us for well over an hour beyond expectations at no additional cost. We received our amazing engagement photos very quickly and were beyond pleased! For our wedding (over a year after the engagement photo shoot), Tino returned as our photographer and he and the videographer arrived on the wedding day punctually and professionally. They worked really well as a team together and with us as we proceeded through the day. They made sure to get all of the shots we requested and did a great job overall! After the wedding, we received our beautiful photos quickly and when the studio notified us of a delay in receipt of our video, they generously offered a free large photo print to make it up to us. After receipt of the photos and video, the team has still been amazing, helping to publishing our wedding on Zola, posting our wedding on their blog, and other interactions on social media. I just terminated my contract with Glenmar Studio and I am beside myself at how I was treated throughout this entire process. My contract involved one photographer and one videographer for my wedding. It also involved a complimentary engagement shoot. The shoot went well and the photos came out nice. It wasn't until I tried to upload a photo onto my wedding invitation when I received a message telling me "The photo you have uploaded is 900 pixels by 601 pixels. We recommend uploading a file that is at least 1460 pixels by 970 pixels in size to ensure that your photo prints clearly." So I went ahead and sent this message to Glenmar, asking them why it wouldn't load. This was the response I received as well as the conversation we had: Glenmar: You can purchase the high resolution rights to your engagement pictures for $150. You can call in a credit card for the payment and we can get you another galley. Me: We're still debating on getting a 2nd photographer for the wedding...is there any way you could throw in the high resolution photos if we purchase another photographer? Glenmar: We would be happy to discount the high resolution but could not include in the price of the 2nd shooter. Let us know if you want to add the second and we will add the high rez for $100 Me: I just needed one picture for our invitation, can we throw in one at least? We more than likely getting the second photographer, I can re-sign the invoice with the changes, if needed. Glenmar: Sorry I'm just getting back to you. I spoke with the owner and he said he would let you purchase one image for $50. We normally only release the rights to all the pictured but he said he will treat it like a head shot and let you purchase just one picture. After receiving the last email, I didn't know what to say. I was really upset and frustrated. Our wedding coordinator had called them to find out what was going on. She then called me to tell me the lady was very cold to her over the phone. She also mentioned that the woman said I should have asked about high resolution photos during the initial meet. After hearing this I was livid. It isn't my job to know what low or high resolution is. And after speaking to another photographer, they laughed and said this is something photographers do to scam people into spending more money because they're up against a wall and have no other choice. Please understand, if I was told all of this on day one, I would have said that's fine let's add that into the contract. But the fact that I was toyed around with and treated like a joke infuriated me, so I called them to terminate my contract and was told I wasn't getting my deposit back because I already took the engagement shoot. So I said fine, I'll pay for the high resolution photos (how ironic, huh?) but refund the rest and let it be done with. So naturally, after receiving the refund, I waited a week and didn't hear anything about the photos. So I followed up and said: Me: I'm emailing to follow up on our emails from last week. When can I expect to receive the photos? Glenmar: The original gallery is now downloadable in high resolution format. You can go there and download all the images. Me: Can I have the link to this? Glenmar: Same as the previous gallery you accessed. And that was the end of it. After I told them I didn't want to do business with them anymore, this is how I was treated. Mind you, they could have avoided all of this if they were honest with me from the beginning. We all know how expensive weddings are and how easy it is to be taken advantage of by vendors. This was a nightmare experience for me and I hope it doesn't happen to any of you. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Glenmar, and specifically one of their photographers, Melissa. My fiancé and I took our engagement photos with Melissa this past Wednesday and we already have received access to our full online gallery (that's TWO days later!). When we had spoken to other studios before deciding on Glenmar, we were told it could take 3-4 weeks to get our proofs back. Melissa was willing to travel out to Brooklyn to do a shoot in DUMBO and the pictures turned out phenomenal. My fiancé and I are not big picture takers, but Melissa made us feel so comfortable right from the start, despite the fact that we were in a super crowded area-- she navigated everything like a pro! Sorry, but I am not a fan of this place. I used them for my wedding and was less than impressed. The price isn't bad, but the photos are mediocre at best. My photographer had to be told every shot to take, didn't take any candid shots or shots of my ceremony decor (which was beautiful) and on top of that he got into a fight with my family friend who was making suggestions for photos, telling me and her that he "didn't like anybody disrupting his shoot." I guess he forgot that he was at a wedding and not his very own fashion photo shoot. When I went to put together my book, they were very pushy about having almost every page an 8x10 -- which would increases the cost significantly -- and it made me very uncomfortable. Plus, on top of that, I got married in June and have yet to see my book. (It's April). I would go with someone else. UPDATE: I received my book yesterday, and the pictures that I asked to be enhanced were not, and the album is the wrong color -- we ordered blue, and its white. I will have to send it back, and have them redo. Maybe I will get the completed RIGHT book by my 1 year anniversary... IN RESPONSE TO THE COMMENT: He might be one of your top photographers, but that fact is irrelevant because there was a conflict. Just because he is highly requested doesn't mean he wasn't unbelievably rude to my family friend. And, in terms of 8x10 photographs not increasing the price, that is not what we were told. If that is not the case we were misinformed by your staff. We were told the more 8x10 (which we had several in our book even after the revisions) we had, the more pages would need to be added to the book (because 8x10's take up a whole page) ; which is why we pulled several 8x10's from our album. read more

I've used Glenmar studio for four different shoots, from 2012 through 2018. They did our wedding shoot back in 2012, a family shoot in August 2017, and two family shoots in January 2018. They were always professional and pleasant, and will continue to do business with them. However, the shoots and photos are not consistent from photographer to photographer. I would recommend asking for examples of each photographer's work prior to booking, to make sure you get exactly what you want. read more

Had to take a moment to share how happy we were to have found Glenmar and used them for our wedding. It's been almost a year since our wedding and we are finally rolling around to finishing up our photo albums. From start to finish Glenmar did an unbelievable job, we had our initial meeting with Allison and I knew this was our photographer and I am happy to say Allison was one of the photographers at our wedding along with the lovely & talented Melissa. I canceled all of our other appointments and booked right away. We didn't do a video and while I kinda of regretted deciding against the video but if have to say all the pictures our dynamic duo took tell our story from start to finish. The video would have most likely collected dust and I splurged on some enlargements to decorate the house with so even better! You are in great hands with Glenmar. They treat you like family or an old friend. I've been in many weddings and I have yet to meet anyone as good as this team. My friend spent 3x as much as we did and said at our wedding that she wished she used Glenmar as they were so nice and added to special factor of the day. They made our day and our pictures really easy, and I was thrilled with every picture they took. If you can absolutely splurge for a photo journalist was the best addition we made. Unfortunately they just don't do great business at The Glenmar Studio. They take their sweet time for everything and we feel like we've been taken advantage of as newlyweds who have spent so much of their money on their wedding pictures. They back you into a corner to spend more money with them. It's too bad because their photographers are wonderful, but their business practices are just not. The Glenmar Studio recently did the photography and videography for my wedding in October of 2012. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and quality of their work. I went to several other photographers before deciding on one for my big day and the second I walked into Glenmar, I knew they were the perfect fit. The Glenmar Studio has several photographers on staff with varied specialties. This was a huge plus for me because many photographers have one photographer with one style. The staff at Glenmar was very accommodating in terms of satisfying our wants/needs. They also worked with us to fit what we wanted into our budget. The day of the actual wedding was perfect. Both photographers showed up early and took the time to speak to us about the day. John was with me at my house and he made sure to have a list of all people I "needed" pictures of. For the entire day, the two photographers and videographer were literally at my beck and call. They knew what shots were important to me and made sure they got them. Besides that, they were very creative and friendly. Throughout the wedding day, I continuously had guests compliment me on the personalities and professionalism of my photographers. Both Joey & John were so excited and happy the entire day. They were even showing us shots on the cameras as the day went on. They did not miss a beat. When we got our proofs, we were thrilled. We had a wide range of posed, candid, and photo-journalistic style photos. When we viewed the proofs, I truly felt as if I was reliving every moment of our wedding day. They captured everything I could've ever wanted and so much more! You really get a sense of who we are and what our day was like when you look at them. I am 10000% pleased with the choice we made with this photographer and would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

This review is solely for management and nothing against the pictures and our specific photographer. First, management tells us our package we purchased a few months ago was not including an album. Yet....on our contract written in clear writing it says album and 50 pictures included. They want us to pay an extra $1500 for an album! Second, when I call or email the studio they take weeks to get back to me. If your a business hire more people to take care of your clients needs. Third, in person the people there offer deals such as including a certain print or type of paper but then a day later when I call back to confirm the sample photo, they claim they would never make a deal like that. Why would you offer deals in person just to take our money then lie about the deal later?! Our wedding was at the swan club, they claim to know swan club grounds but when the photographer took us there he couldn't point out where to take good pictures. I personally think the photos taken were decent but not the greatest. I would never recommend this studio just because of management here. read more

If photos of your wedding are important to you do NOT select Glenmar studios. I looked around for a wedding photographer. I spent a lot of money with Glenmar but at the time didn't mind because I believe you get what you pay for and I wanted really spectacular wedding photos. When I went to meet with my photographer I asked for samples of her work. She then showed me an album with amazing pictures. I was so impressed that I signed an agreement with her and I asked them to even put in the contract that SHE would be my photographer. I heard of multiple instances where people have signed contracts and saw another person show up on their wedding day and I did not one to be one of those people. Well I should have known something was wrong when I showed up to do a final payment and I saw another couple talking to one of the managers about a different photographer. They asked to see samples of his work and the manager showed them the same book that my photographer showed me on the first day. I saw this happen multiple times. STRIKE ONE. The day of my engagement photo, my photographer was late because she was trying to get someone else into a contract with her. When we sent to the photoshoot she was rushed, only spent 10-15 minutes with us and when she was done with us...there were two other couples waiting for her. STRIKE TWO. The day of my wedding, as I walked into my venue I was saying hello to my nephew and I saw some strange older gentlemen taking pictures of me. I looked at him and he said 'Hello, I am your photographer', my reply was 'no your not'...I called Glenmare and they said they hadn't heard from my photographer so they sent this older gentlmen instead. At that point I had no choice. The person was HORRIBLE. He took minimal pictures and rude to my family. I always assumed I would miss my cocktail hour but the photographer kepts pulling me out during my reception...so much that my MC even said something to him. STRIKE THREE and FOUR. When I got the pictures on a high-res disk, not all of them opened, they were blurry, and when they put our names on the CD covers they had my husbands name completely wrong (not misspelling, a completely different name). STRIKE FIVE. Glenmar was so horrible. If you care about your wedding photos and you don't want to take any risks. DON"T HIRE THEM. read more
