I was extremely picky when I was looking for a photographer. I looked at MANY photographers and when I came across Glenmar Studios, who my wedding hall had recommended, i fell in love with their photos. I made an appointment to meet with them. They showed me albums and discussed what I wanted. The appointment went very well and I signed a contract with them. I was so excited for taking pictures and for getting the pictures! After my wedding I had this feeling that the photographer hadn't taken many pictures of me and my husband together, or that he had taken many pictures of the wedding party. When I got the pictures a few weeks later, I cried! Cried! Not out of happiness but of complete disappointment. The lighting in the pictures was HORRIBLE. If the lighting in the hall is off, they are suppose to edit that or use their own lights so the pictures can come out later. All of the pictures were pink. Everyone's faces were pink. The white curtains behind me in some pictures were pink. We all look pink. In the pictures that aren't pink, the pictures are dark and look awful. Looking at the pictures of myself I wish the photographer had guided me on how to pose as I look horrible in most of them. There are a few nice artsy pictures but other than that they suck. We were waiting for my family and instead of continuing to take pictures of me, the photographer wanted to take a break. There are THREE pictures of my husband by himself, THREE. In these pictures he is sitting awkwardly with a horrible background behind him. The photographer couldn't have repositioned him so that there was a nice background behind him?? In group pictures, people are positioned extremely awkwardly and there are only 2 pictures per group, typically 1 of which where people were blinking. There are absolutely no individual pictures and I have 1 picture with each bridesmaid and we are sitting down in every one. My husband and I have less than 10 posed pictures of the 2 of us together. And there is not a single one that is frame worthy. The pictures are all plain, nothing special, blurry, and just not nice. It was 6 months ago and I am still furious over it, so much so that I am considering retaking my wedding photos. The wedding video is mediocre. Of course I enjoy watching it because I get to watch my wedding but the editing was done poorly and I feel they left important things out. The videographer should have gone around asking more people to speak during the meal instead of only parents and grandparents. I don't have enough room here to write all of my complaints about my wedding pictures. read more

Joey and Karen from Glenmar did the photography for our October 2012 wedding. We are very happy with our photos. We opted not to purchase albums because we want to make our own smaller, very personal photo books for lots of different people as holiday gifts this year - Glenmar was the only studio we met with that didn't noticeably lose interest in us after learning we didn't want to drop an additional $1000 on a photography album and just wanted high res disks to own. They were also warm to us throughout the entire consultation process and understood us and our needs. I didn't see my DH on the day of our wedding before the ceremony, and because we were getting married at night, we wanted to do a wedding party photo shoot the day before to take advantage of the light and fall foliage. Lots of photographers we met with were not flexible about this or didn't "get" what we wanted. Joey understood right away and made us feel like our idea was great. When the time came to do the actual shoot, the weather was bad, and Joey jumped right in to help us make it work anyway. We got married at The Swan Club. I would recommend Joey and Karen from Glenmar no matter where you are getting married, but especially if you are getting married at The Swan Club. They really know the venue/grounds. They also worked wonderfully with the staff there to make sure we got all the photos we needed. My DH and I are light-hearted people and wanted our photos to have a sense of humor - to be glamorous yet fun. Well, when we got our disks in the mail, my DH and I sat clicking through the images and couldn't stop laughing. Our personalities really come through in the photos thanks to the skills of the photographers. read more

Waste of money. We chose Glenmar over other photographers that were better priced. They promised everything and delivered nothing. Our photographer was awful. No direction, awful lighting, never captured fun or memorable moments of our wedding. Our friends and family took better pictures with their iPhones. Glenmar had no regrets or compassion for the terrible service they rendered. All they cared about was getting paid for their service. Do not make the same mistake we did and find another suitable photographer that actually cares about their customers and their special day. read more

I had Melissa from the Glenmar Studio as my photographer for my 12/1/18 wedding. Melissa and everyone else at Glenmar were so great to work with. I loved that I was able to pick Melissa as my photographer when I booked based on recommendation and from seeing her work, and that I got to work with her directly throughout my planning process. She did a beautiful engagement shoot for us, helped us get comfortable and learn how to pose right (we aren't picture people). For the wedding, she was knowledgeable about the timeline, she was prompt, and she made sure to keep checking in with me to ensure I was getting all the pictures I wanted to get. We just received our online gallery from the wedding and she did such a beautiful job! We are very happy with how everything turned out! read more

We booked Glenmar for our wedding. We just had our engagement shoot in Verona Park. So far we could not be happier. Elaine met us in the park we had the best of time. We clicked right away and requested her to take our wedding pictures. We're looking forward to working with her again. read more

A word of advice, do not hire Glenmar to take pictures of your special day. You probably won't end up actually receiving those pictures .. ever. And the management is awful. Go else where. Too bad you can't give a company negative stars for their rating ...... read more

Wow, I have never had more unflattering photos of me taking ever. I suppose perhaps I needed to have been more aware of the angle the photographer was taking them at, but one would think that as the bride at the event, the photographer would know to pick a better angle. I have seen the personal pictures other people took throughout the event and know that I didn't look nearly as bad as I did in the 350 pictures the photographer took, so I am rather shocked to see the digital images I received from the company I paid to take pictures of me in my very expensive outfit. There are entire series of pictures where my hair is like moving into my mother-in-laws face, for example... 5 or 6 shots where this is the case. There are more images of my SIL and her fiance than of me and my husband than of me throughout... and in better angles. Really, it's just shocking. I found the photographer himself very nice and the company very pleasant to work with, but the quality is definitely lacking. It was more or less what I would expect if I'd just paid a friend to use their DSLR camera. Luckily, I know photoshop, but these are not professional photographs. It's very sad. I wish we'd spent more for another company. read more

DO NOT choose this company to do your photography! I got married in 2012 and did plenty of research on photographers. Although Glenmar has been around for years and "has a good reputation", I would not recommend them to anyone. At my wedding, the video camera "broke" and the videographer did not record our grand entrance as Mr. and Mrs. I don't blame the videographer at all and he did what he could to fix this. When I watched our video at the studio I was visibly upset because I became aware that our special moment was not captured. Although I was in tears, the manager was very rude. She made me feel like I was over-reacting and asked if any of our guests had a video of it that Glenmar can use (isn't that THEIR job?). It was near closing time so I not sure if she wanted to rush us out of there, but she was extremely curt and insensitive. When I attempted to contact the owner by email and phone to complain about the manager's poor attitude and customer service, he was no where to be found. However, when it was time to sell me a second photographer, he was in the studio pitching a sale, trying to make money. I still have not heard from the owner at this point. Another employee called to explain that the manager "was going through a rough time in her life and to excuse her behavior". Once I was over the video issue, I went to pick up our 2 parent albums and our wedding album. On both parent albums my name (the bride) was spelled incorrectly!!!! Then, on our album, my husband's name was spelled incorrectly!!!! When I called to tell them about it, the previously mentioned manager answered and blamed us for not finding the mistake on the CD form of the album. She was "nice" enough to fix it free of charge. Why did we pay you THOUSANDS of dollars again??? read more

Glenmar was great to work with for my wedding this past August. I had a package deal from my venue which provided the basic necessities from Glenmar and had to pay extra for any additions that we wanted. However, they worked with us to discount the prices as we added more things. Everything was laid out in front of us on what we were getting for our money and we were never lied to about inclusions or exclusions. We received a complimentary engagement photo shoot which turned out great and the wedding photos were amazing. We had so many beautiful photos to choose from for our wedding album that we didn't know what to leave out. Allison gladly spent 5 hours sitting with us to help us choose the perfect photos for our album and never once showed any impatience. We ended up having to pay extra to fit more photos into a bigger album but she was able to discount that too! Most of these negative reviews are older and may be outdated. I would gladly recommend Glenmar to others even if they are a little pricier. You get what you pay for and they are worth every penny! read more

I loved Glenmar from the moment I walked in. I read the two other posts and it is unfortunate they did not have the experience I did. My photos just came back and they are all lovely. We had two photographers, one ehh and the other, Anna was AMAZING! She was at my house THANK GOD. She took stunning photos and was an overall pleasure to work with. I also loved working with their videographer Rob. He made me laugh and calmed me down that morning. My only gripe was the other photographer who went to my husband's house. He took odd pictures of them on trees and he told the guys to keep on their transitional lens glasses. It makes them all look so weird. About 2 dozen photos are unusable because you can't see their eyes just the stupid glasses. He was also very in your face which I asked them not to be. Anna was awesome she blended in and I never knew she was there but the photos she took were amazing. I am overall extremely happy with the photos! Thank you Glenmar! read more

I can not believe these other reviews. This studio went above and beyond for me and my husband. The pictures came out stunning and the proofs were timely and organized. Besides this, I left something at home on the day of my wedding and they had no problem with me bringing it in another day and taking pictures of it. The photographers jing and Arthur were unbelievable. They listened to every word we said and made sure we had every single picture we wanted. We used The Glenmar Studio for our March 31 wedding and were incredibly impressed with them from start to finish! I don't know what those other two reviews were talking about! They were one of our favorite wedding vendors to work with! Their prices are fair and by far, the best deal and personality of the photographers we spoke to. Our engagement shoot was great, I had a special idea that I wanted to accomplish with the engagement pics and Glenmar delivered, giving us gorgeous pictures that we ended up using as table numbers at the wedding. We hired them for both photo and video at the wedding and even our guests commented on how respectful and professional Glenmar was. My husband and I danced the entire reception and didn't miss a moment of the wedding due to pictures, which is exactly what we wanted. They captured every moment of the wedding in photos, most of which we didn't even know were being taken. I got our proofs within weeks of the wedding and there were over 1,000 pictures to go through!!! Plus, we didn't have a bridal party or much family so the number of photo options they gave us was amazing! We went through them many times because it was so hard to narrow down so many great shots for the album! We met with Glenmar one week after we got our proofs. What people don't understand is that your album will take months to make with any photographer. If you don't return your proofs in a timely manner, then you're just tacking on all that extra time and you're to blame as to why you don't have an album for over a year. read more
