Very excited to digest extra stuff ... without telling you it'll be extra. "Oh...can I put a flower on one of your nails?" Both ring fingers done ... $25 extra on the tab when checking out. That was by wife. I was talked into a foot rub. As my feet soaked, the sweet woman bright a pedicure tray over. I had to deny three offers to just let her clip my already short nails. Then she proceeded to give a foot rub which consisted of running her thumbs and forefingers along my lower leg bones for 30 minutes. She also gave me a run down on her family and asked multiple questions about how long I was staying and where and what I did for a living. My entire mission while in that chair was to not cry or flinch. When she was done, I felt comfortable concluding she had not one single day of training in massage therapy. My bill was $60. My wife's was $42 for gel plus $25 for two flowers. All in all, we left laughing (and limping), but $150 lighter than when we went in.

I came here a year ago for my first wax ever with Taylor. She made me feel comfortable and we talked the entire time, which was a good distraction. After she left, I was nervous to try someone else because I feared I wouldn't have the same experience. I was wrong - I love Emily! She is very personable and we pick up our conversations right were we left them the previous visit. I'm so glad I picked The Glow Spot as my first experience! Turns out, I've known Emily for years, but didn't know she did waxing and facials and all kinds of pampering thing for your face! I went to visit her at her prior salon at Windward Mall a few times, and was always very happy with the results. I'd since moved out of Kaneohe and barely visited the mall. In the meantime, she moved her studio to a new location, while still in Kaneohe, it was to a building I was very familiar with. I found out last week I would be in Kaneohe so I sent her a quick message to see if she had openings... she said she would be happy to squeeze me in at 9:30. YES! The studio is located across the street from the Kaneohe Fire Station, with the entrance facing the side of the station. There is an open lot with free parking and a few handicap stalls, with more parking available under the other building. I'd never been in the building with the studio. It is a cute hair salon with a loft, Emily's studio is located upstairs in the loft in a room next to the nail salon area. It was a quick 30 minute appointment but Emily did not skimp on the precision and pampering... I LOVE my brows! I hope to return soon to get a facial done!

I didn't know I was in pain until she rubbed it away. Next time, I'll opt out of the lofi music and ask for spa-like music for optimal relaxation. But the results afterward!! I was glowing and dewy. They got me in over 15 min past my appt time with a different person. Keep in mind there was no call notification whats so ever. When I was taken to the back the bed they wanted me to lay on was dirty with visible dirt and a paper that only covered 2/3 of the bed. As a cosmetologist myself, if something as simple as the being bed is dirty, I would absolutely NOT trust that the wax is clean as well. Since I was getting a Brazilian I do not trust that they are not putting double dipped wax on my kitty, avoid if looking for a place. This coming from someone in the beauty industry and who is aware of the sanitation procedures.
