LOVE The Goat in Dublin. I went there a couple weeks ago to watch March Madness - my friends and I said "Well... we can at least go check out The Goat, and if we don't like it then we'll go somewhere else." Turns out... we stayed there the whole night, and LOVED it. We even went back a second time last night because we can't think of a better place to go up here, especially to watch March Madness (or, to watch anything rather). We love the Goat. We showed up for food and drink. We sat at a table for about 30 minutes and nobody approached. The waitresses intentionally walked past us and averted their gaze. One waitress helped the table next to us a total of six visits. We arrived at 11pm and the kitchen closes at 12am. Decent space with possibilities, but lacking a caring staff. I ordered a wrap with no sauce, fries, and dipping sauce for delivery. My wrap came after 45 minutes, wasn't hot, and was covered in sauce. After calling and asking for a new order, the second delivery didn't come with dipping sauce, and there was once again sauce all over my food. When my husband called back for a second time, he was argued with and the employee did not apologize once. They finally got the order right (the third time) and I waited an hour and a half for my food. No mention of an explanation or apology was ever given. Inexcusable. read more

I live at LC Dublin where you are not allowed to bring your own beverages & are required to purchase any drink or food you decide to consume while at the pool. So without an option to go elsewhere, I am required to wait 10+ minutes to be acknowledged and another 10-15 for my drink to be made and/or my order to be taken. I work in the food service industry and the customer service here is unacceptable. This is a constant issue every time I go to the pool & need to get a drink or food. I would not recommend this establishment. read more

After the 20 minute wait to get someone to come to our table it has now been another 25 minutes and our drinks are still not here. This is very much like being back in the Army, hurry up and wait. Great food, poor management. For the last 5 years, this was my favorite spot for food and summer fun. This year they cut off pool access to myself and many other longtime patrons in the community. Cant say how disappointing this is. After the COVID shutdown, I'd think restaurants would want all the business it could get. So I have been to this establishment a few times now. The staff is pretty friendly, service is pretty quick most of the time. The Goat always looks clean. This place has a lot of seating which is a plus for meeting up with friends especially if you have a large group. They have a good drink selection from craft beers to domestics. They have a great whiskey selection and it's laid out on the drink menu for you to see. They have pool, volleyball courts and corn hole, so if you enjoy playing games while drinking you won't be bored here. If your a sports enthusiast like myself you won't miss any games here because they have tv's everywhere. They have a swimming pool as well. They do have seating outside near the swimming pool which is nice. The food is priced reasonably and is good. So the only thing I guess I would say needs to be better here is the wait time. I have waited at least 15 minutes twice to be served here but other then that they are a good place to go for a good time! read more

Cinco de Mayo 5k was great. After the race we got to try the beer 26.2 from Boston. The beer was great and so was the southwestern veggie platter with the two amazing dips. I definitely will come again. read more

Get the broasted tenders with honey mustard they are the bomb! The whole menu is so good! The chicken tacos and fish tacos are really good. Tons of tvs, pool tables, a pool, nice bar, and lets of space. The staff is hit or miss but overall definitely a cool spot to hang for games or just a fun night with good food! read more

If you sit at the bar, you get service. We just went there, say at a table, and received no acknowledgment of our arrival or any service. After 15 minutes, we got up and left. No acknowledgment as we left either. So, if I'm a college aged person standing at the bar, I get service. If I sit at a table, nothing. read more

I love the goat! When we moved in we assumed the goat would be a good "end the night then walk home" type of place my friends and i will more often spend most of the evening fueling our livers at the good old goat. The goat used to be our go to place with good, inexpensive food and great people. Came here tonight and got a very small burger (smaller than even a slider!) and a total of 5 tater tots (which were $3 more by the way). Absolutely ridiculous and terrible service. Much lower quality in the past and obviously only concerned about the bottom line. Had to wait over 30 more minutes for the food to begin with and by the time I got it the manager came out and said she "discounted" it for me, by less than $5. Ridiculously unfair and rude for the management to treat someone like that. I will not be a patron of this bar anymore and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I ordered the hot chicken pizza... Michael Vick wouldn't even feed that garbage to his losing dogs. I asked for extra cheese and I'm pretty sure the chef said "fu$k it, no cheese it is. We arrived early evening for dinner with 3 hungry kids. It was a long wait in a mostly-empty restaurant for service. We ordered burgers and chicken fingers. The food took over 50 minutes to arrive at our table after complaining of the wait. The order was mostly correct. Things like tater tots were sent as fries. No ketchup for burgers. Oh well, we already weren't planning to come back to this place. My oldest child and my husband both finished their drinks but we never saw a server again for a refill. Then she came and we got the check. It turns out that they'd charged us for BBQ sauce we didn't order (but we assumed was normal to come with chicken fingers!) and they charged us for every side (tater tots and a side salad). We had no idea! The waitress had asked us when ordering "and what would you like for a side?", the standard question you usually answer "fries" when you order a burger. Incensed, I called a manager over. I planned to lay out to him: 50 minute wait, wrong food items, no refills or service, and charged for sides we didn't order or had no idea we're buy-ups. As soon as I got "over 50 minutes" out of my mouth, the manager said "we're on a 1 hour food wait," which I couldn't believe he didn't just say "sorry" and admitted (or suggested I should be happy I got my food ten minutes earlier than the other poor customers in the restaurant) they'd mismanaged well enough to get to a one hour wait for simple bar food. He didn't charge us for our dinner, which, to his credit, was gracious and more than I would've asked for. All that said, would never come back to this restaurant and would advise you to keep your expectations low if you choose to visit. read more

We are moving to this property and tried the goat food was good nice environment but no kids menu everywhere has a kids menu. Had high chairs. Yes k understand this is a more adult atmosphere but seeing residents have children maybe a kids menu should be made available. read more

The place is exactly what it sells itself to be. A bar for a younger crowd that lives in the Dublin community. I met up with a friend that lives in the apartments by the goat and I had a couple drinks. Draft selection is solid for its clientele. Service left a bit to be desired but nothing to prevent me from coming back. Prices are good for what you get. I didn't order any food but If I go back I will update my review. We weren't there for any kind of sporting event but I could imagine this place would be great for that! read more

Used to come here quite often when it first opened and haven't been back in years since I moved away. My bartenders name was Alpna (sp?) and she could not have been nicer. She was very pleasant to talk to and seemed generally happy to be there l. She offered great options for a menu that's changed a lot since I've last been here. Ordered the southwest burger which came quickly and was cooked how I asked. It tasted amazing but had a very small patty for a full size bun. Other than that drinks came quick and tasted great and the bar in general seemed clean and well organized like I remember it when it opened. We live right near The Goat. It's great to hang out with friends, grab drinks and chill. My husband and I like it as well. It is a bit noisy, but it's a young bar. Everyone there is generally in their mid twenties to early thirties. The food, I swear they change chefs from afternoon to evening. Bc we went their for lunch and it was so good! But when we went in the evening for the bar, it was not good at all. Pretty gross actually. The bartenders make decent drinks, I've never experienced a "tude" before. So, we live in this community and love the Goat. Good food, drinks and atmosphere. The only issue is they just like to play club music at all hours of the day and night. Mind you this is completely fine with me 95% of the time but during big OSU basketball games they keep it on this club music (at least when we've been here). Tonights game was in OT and they still didn't turn on the audio with half of the bar cheering. We asked numerous times but were told they wouldn't switch it because of the parties and groups that have reserved tables. Well, most of them were watching the game and cheering (50th b-day party). Have been here many times to watch football. They only show certain games on certain TVs and will not change the channel to accommodate the customer. Food is average and service is below average. There are plenty of other bars close that are much better. read more

I am an LC Hayden Run Falls resident and love The Goat when I want to relax and enjoy good food and decent drinks. It is a perfect place for friends in the Summer, football in the Fall, and overall nice place to meet for an afterwork Date Night or Happy Hour. It is not a ridiculous party site, and not over crowded with kids (more for summertime). I love going there and the staff is always very nice and accommodating. The new Happy Hour is fantastic! Monday - Friday, 4p - 7p, $4 wine, $5 cocktail specials,and $5 flat breads (which are very delicious!). I am not sure of the beer specials, but they have it. I love how LC stepped up their game and made The Goat a nice, fun, relaxing place, especially since there is not competition around this area. Maybe not a "must try, you are not living life without this place," but definitely worth going at least once, and see for yourself! read more

First of all...mad props to Jonathan for the awesome alliteration and the sex panther shout out. Being the first customer ever inside The Goat and living in the community, I have to admit I'm slightly biased. But this is the real deal. A sports bar meets Vegas pool party meets beach volleyball. Anything you could ask for is at The Goat. Anywhere you sit, you have visibility to multiple big screen HD TVs. Access to the bar from inside and outside. Food is very good. Pool table, 2 sand volleyball courts, usually about 6 or 7 beers on tap with many others to choose from, big pool with a bunch of lounge chairs, and a youthful group of young professionals to enjoy it all with! During the year, they will have tons of parties for OSU games, NFL games, holidays, and random theme parties. Trivia nights, volleyball leagues, cornhole leagues, they have everything! Lots of specials year round - i.e. 35 cent wings and $12 buckets Saturdays and Sundays during football season. Specialty shots, fun bartenders (challenge them to get the jockey hats off the wall!), and a great wait staff. Overall, after only one year of existence, The Dublin Goat a top bar in Columbus. Can't miss on a Friday or Saturday night and it has much more to do than a Yogis, Dub Pub, or other Dublin Bar. read more

Tonight is the second time I've been into this place where it's been the same people working behind the bar. Just like last time, my husband and I sat there waiting to be acknowledged for over 20 minutes by the female bartender who sat and talked to another couple at the front of the bar the entire time. Several other people around us were extremely annoyed with her service as well and told us this was a normal behavior of hers.The other two male employees were working and running nonstop. One finally realized we were still waiting and the short, dark haired female bartender was just ignoring everyone but her two apparent friends. The male bartender was extremely apologetic and kind. We had our one drink and left. As for the female bartender, this is the second time she's done this and from now on if we see her working, we will just go elsewhere. read more

The pool is fantastic (residents only!) and someday's you can be served pool side. They have so much to do - corn hole, volleyball, trivia nights, and live bands! This is the perfect place to kick it with your friends, watch ANY sporting event. Happy Hour is great, especially for the Dublin area. This ain't campus kids - if you want Yuengling for $1.75 go to Yogi's. They have $1 off draft and well selections from 1-8pm every day. $3 3olive drinks on Thursdays amongst other alcholo specials that vary each day on top of their regular happy hour. The food selection is surprisingly amazing for a bar - I recommend the pizza rolls (like stromboli they make fresh every day) and any of their pizzas or burgers. The ranchero burger has bacon, an egg, and beef - what more can a guy ask for? The service is pretty great for a bar; they make an effort to know the regulars on a first name basis. Danielle is a kick ass bartender and Kate is a prime server - as an added plus, a majority of the staff there is very easy on the eyes. The only inconvenience is there is only one road to get there. I must say that I have put my time into this place and for that I owe a review. For the past year I have gone to the Goat almost every tuesday and I am rarely disappointed. This is a newer company and there is always room for growth in any patron based establishment but at the same time keep up the good work! The pizza rolls are prime-o in my opinion and the serving staff is very knowledgable about the food product. The pizza rolls are assembled and baked in the kitchen! Talk about fresh. There is nothing better than gooey, melted cheese paired with the spiced bite of pepperoni with a deliciously flaky crust. Yum! And to the gentleman who said they were "overpriced for being the only bar in the area": no shit. If they are the only bar in the area they could be MORE expensive; for cheaper spirits go to campus for a less than pleasant atmosphere and awful service. Overpriced is not $3-6 beers. When I go in I am usually accompanied by half a dozen plus people and we are always satisfied with our beverages and the grub we consume. We do have a perferred server named Kate. She knows what we like to drink and eat off the top of her head every time we come in. I have never even had a restaurant know my entire order before let alone a bar. That is service to come back for. Reading some of the reviews about the service being consistently slow is not something I have ever had problems with but then again that Asian is from Whitehall so... And keeping things into perspective, the Goat is a bar and not a restaurant. The bartenders and servers take care of you correctly and efficiently even at high volumes. Side note, what happened to the food specials? Those were a nice added bonus but not necessary. This is a relaxed atmosphere that is a great place to unwind with friends after a busy day. I don't make it to the Goat on the weekends but I see advertisements for live bands, give aways, radio stations, and even random themed events like Country night.
