It's, well, kind of what I expect for a neighbor bar. The service is incredibly slow no matter the time of day or crowd size. There are a ton of drink options that are pretty reasonable. Depending on the bartender they can be heavy handed on the mixed drinks but I'm not complaining. The food I've had so far has been good (though the boneless wings look like turds and that's hard to get past that). The sweet potato fries are shockingly amazing. I could probably go there and just eat fries and drink beer. 'Tis the life I suppose. It's incredibly loud, not somewhere to hang out and chat unless you can sit outside. I highly recommend this when the pool is open for people watching. My friend and I spent a good 20 minutes watching a guy with a pathetically small man bun wander aimlessly around the pool trying to start conversation with people before getting in the water and splashing around. It's been my favorite experience at The Goat so far. If you're looking for a place to camp out and watch a game (remember service is slow you can't be in a hurry) I recommend checking it out. read more

What a nice little neighborhood bar. I went recently to watch the Ohio State Football game and it was super nice. The bar was packed and therefore you know it is good. I did not get food, but I got a few drinks. The bar was stocked with all the drinks that you could want. I ended up just getting a white claw. The price was super cheap. When you arrive at this place, they have ample parking. The staff that I interacted with were all really friendly. They have plenty of tv's for watching the games and other things you may want to watch. I really enjoyed my first and only time I have been to The Goat. Honestly if it weren't for Trey I would rate this place a 1 star. 1.The service has become awful. 2.Every time I've called to order food for take out it sounds like I'm bothering the lady on the phone. 3. I have gotten the wrong food 3 times straight in my to go order. Yesterday I ordered a Baja wrap and it literally had lettuce, tomato's, cheese and chipotle ranch. That's it. It is a fantastic location and a decent place for a stopover but not as a destination. The pizza is great. However, they have lost many patrons for poor (horrible) service. I just ordered delivery, and I was not impressed with the Mixed Berry French Toast. "French Toast with a berry compote and whipped cream on top, fresh fruit as my side. My "side of fresh fruit" was literally a cup of topping that came on my toast aka frozen berries in a up of water. It was also supposed to have whipped cream. We were excited to see all of the new games they were offering, both indoor and outdoor. No way in hell are we paying $30 to play cornhole LOL. They are absolutely out of their mind charging that. Same price for darts. $30 to play darts blew my mind. Fun new discovery by the house. Awesome service. Highly recommend the taco pizza. Think spicy flat nachos with a kick of chipotle sauce drizzled across the pie. The appetizer mini slider burgers are more than minis. You get four with fries and one will do you in really! The bar is located looking the pool and the establishment is huge! Lots of seating. First time we were there I asked the bartender for a skinny margarita. He obliged and after a taste unfortunately it was not good. At all. I hated saying anything but admittedly I let it sit. The bartender came up and said,"How is that skinny margarita? I admit I don't make them often." Honesty. What a relief. I admitted it wasn't happening for me and asked for a Corona Light. It smells like feet. Other than that it was great. The drinks are good priced and the ranch nachos lack any ranch but tasted great nonetheless. I came here after going to Ye Asian Bistro with some friends. My one friend lives in the apartments surrounding The Goat so we decided to get some drinks here. Upon arriving, it smelled like a wet shoe inside. One of the people we were with attested that this is frequently the case for some reason. I wanted to light a candle or a hundred. We ordered various drinks, beers, lemon drop shots, screwdrivers, and I was exciting with water. I was not the DD, I had a headache. But the prices were not bad and there is a happy hour that offers some cocktails for a decent price. My girl friend was bummed though on her third screwdriver the size went from a draft glass to a whiskey glass but the price remained the same. We ordered some ranch nachos that were on these oddly thin and flavorless chips aka dying for some salt and maybe some more flour and a pinch of onion. They come with bacon, scallions, cilantro, tomato, beer cheese, and nacho chips of course. They were pretty good. The location was nice, a lot of younger people and many people on awkward tinder dates. I wish I had a picture of the guy behind us who had the most unnatural black hair color with a girl who looked like she was about to sneeze the whole night. Ok so I want to make one thing abundantly clear: I'm not a fan of "thematic" bars or restaurants, and I don't mean the kind where people dress up like superheroes or medieval lords and ladies. I'm talking about the places that are artificially put together becasue they happen to be part of some development plan that necessitated its existence to serve as a watering hole for a nearby residential development. Something about the whole thing feels like cheating to me. I've been in marketing too long. That being said, I wanted to mention my innate bias because I wanted it to reflect upon the score I give the Goat, a place I feel falls within that specific schema. But unlike a few other places that were built for the benefit of nearby millennials or young professionals or retirees wanting an above-average place to hang their hat, the Goat (and possibly others of their ilk as I can only speak to this location) slings quality food and booze at a decent price. I can speak most admirably of their appetizers and their pizzas. Most of my encounters here are fueled by booze so I cannot say with absolute clarity what I've had in total, but usually the first half of the night is lucid enough to recall always enjoying the short list of preamble items on the menu. I visit here mostly becasue friends are nearby and I also have other civic events in the past that concluded at the Goat for one reason or another. And....I enjoyed it. Every single time. Nothing about the food stands out per se, and the beer selection is decent but not horribly robust. It's just...nice. Good, even. It's better than "OK" and I score it accordingly, but I wouldn't say it should be your next go-to destination due to the proprietary nature of its existence. But, somehow, some way, fate inexorably pulls me to the Goat over time with semi-reliability, and I am not left wanting. That's worth a decent Yelp shout out, right? read more

The first time I went to The Goat and ordered the farmhouse tots, I fell in love. The tots are soft on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside. They are topped with pork belly and a subtle beer cheese, a runny egg and sriracha aioli. It was a fun appetizer and comes together nicely. The braised pork tots are even better. I've ordered take out a few times and slowly grew disappointed. They are not one for consistency. Sometimes the beer cheese comes on top of the tots, sometimes in a separate condiment container, but most of the time not at all. The last time I ordered, the braised pork was extremely overcooked--crunchy and dry and extremely spicy to the point of being inedible. Sometimes the portion is heaping and other times there's only three tots. It's obvious that I've ordered tots here quite a few times--when they're good, they're good and the location is particularly easy for me to get food to-go. But, I think I'll be taking a break. For those not obsessed with tots, the restaurant itself is very loud. They blare music and the patrons get a bit rowdy during sporting games. I don't think I'd come here with my family or to catch up with friends. The service isn't very good. Even getting food to-go is cumbersome, if you arrive before your food is done they make you stand in the middle of the restaurant near the bar and awkwardly wait while the bartenders serve drinks and fail to pay attention to when your order is ready. The pro to the location is they have a pool, so you can spend some time in the water, order a pizza, and walk up to the bar from the pool deck for a drink. I'd really only recommend coming here if the pool is your first priority and food/service is second...or to take a chance on the tots and hope it's a good tot day. read more

Being a regular I understand that they get new people and busy at times and feel I am extremely patient, but when I sit at the bar and 10 minutes go by with no one greeting me I feel that is unacceptable. I just recently moved to this area and wanted to try out the local bar for the college games. I genuinely had such a blast here. The service I received was excellent and the prices were reasonable. They have tons of tvs and was great to enjoy the game for the night. I tried some of the boneless wings and thought they were outstanding! I will definitely be going back during the day time next time since they had an awesome outdoor area which would be great to enjoy on a nice day or even a day with a lot of games on. It seems like every time I visited friends in Dublin this is where we ended up going at some point in the evening. It's a pretty trendy spot located within an apartment development complete with a volleyball court and swimming pool right outside the bar. I never utilized those aspects of its makeup and was more likely to be found near the pool tables and jukebox. There is some type of fun to be had for any young adult who walks in the doors of The Goat. I only ate on one occasion and had a smokehouse cheddar burger, which was quite tasteful and not too expensive, although it was not a particularly large portion either. I probably could have eaten another but I decided to save room for more beer, of which they have plenty. The Goat is definitely a millennial hot spot in the area, so if you're within that age range it's worth checking out. read more

The atmosphere is really fun but the music is so loud you can't hold a conversation with the person next to you. The food was all home made and the veggie burger is one of the best I've had. The Goat has good, American casual "pub grub" type food at reasonable prices. Their pizza's are surprisingly awesome. As a condo resident of the Falls at Hayden Run, the Lifestyle Community where this Goat is located, I can't beat the convenience of the location. The Paddock apartments are also next to this location. Every visitor that I've ever taken to the Goat has liked it, and expressed envy that I live so close to something like it. Parking can be an issue since it caters to residents who can walk from their homes. The parking lot is very small for a place that is very large. The wings are consistently good, and the house salad is large, fresh and a great side dish. My husband loves the Italian sub with double meat and double cheese. Another favorite of his is the Ranchero Burger. In the evening, this place definitely has more of a "bar" feeling to it. The crowd is generally in the mid-twenties to mid-thirties range. It's very loud when the place is crowded. Live music, djs, sand volleyball and corn hole leagues, trivia nights - all of these have been offered at this Goat at one time or another. We went to this location after recently moving. We used to go to the New Albany location and always had a great experience. When going to the Dublin location, there was only about 10 people at the restaurant total. We sat down and waited 25 mins and was not helped at all. The wait staff just stood around and talked. We then left for the Hilliard location. (While leaving they did say bye witch was very helpful) At the Hilliard location where we got water within the first 2 mins of being seated, and our waiter came within the first 5 mins of being seated. The Hilliard location was a lot busier as well. If you want to go to the Dublin location DON'T! It's worth the extra 10 min drive to go to the Hilliard location. Food is always great at The Goat but I guess we will never know if the Dublin location's food is good. read more

Love this place. We play volleyball here on Thursday nights and then some pick up every couple of weeks. The atmosphere is really laid back except when the VBall games heat up. The bartenders and staff are extremely friendly and you get to a point where they know you by name in a few visits. The food is really good too. Pizza and healthy salads, clean environment and TVs all over the place. The crowd is typical of the LC communities. Professional 30 somethings all enjoying life outside of Columbus. Look for some pretty cool specials and parties too. We held our Fantasy Football Draft here and they gave us free apps and 1/2 off pitchers. Out on the pool deck (pool is sweet) you can play corn hole or just chill on one of the lounge chairs. There is a really shallow end of the pool 1' deep where you can just sit with a cocktail and not be completely in the water. All in all a great place for a drink afterwork or to play some VBall with friends. Come down on Thursday nights after all the games are done the pick up games are usually the best! read more

Food is mostly made from scratch and fresh. The burgers are very good. They come with chips, which are not so good. For $2.00 you can add fries, which are ok. For $3.00 more you can get the homemade tater tots, which are amazing. However, for an additional $3.00 it brings the price of a burger or any sandwich to a pretty expensive meal and you only get 6 tots. They serve them with beer cheese dip, which is pretty good. Would be nice if they had a vegetable option as a side dish. California club wrap is also pretty good, as is the flat bread pizza. The draft beer selection is a little thin. All the non-draft beers come in cans, which is reminiscent of a college bar. Service is pretty good and they have a good group of core bar tenders. They have 3 large screen tvs behind the bar and over a dozen other tvs around the bar. Great place to watch sporting events. They have a huge patio that is great in the summer. read more

I can't give this place 5 stars because of the volume. The food is excellent, good drinks and Alennie is one of the hottest bartenders in Columbus. I'm a resident of the Paddock and would love it if this place were a bit quieter throughout the week bid probably eat here more often and may even bring my laptop. I routinely see people trying to converse at tables and having to lean way in or shout. It's just unnecessary M-Th. or hell, maybe turn the volume up at 10 or something. The Goat in Dublin is the BEST BAR IN TOWN!! They have a picturesque pool, fantastic food, sensational sand volleyball courts, crack-a-lackin cornhole, plenty of plasma TVs, superior staff, and a bodacious beer selection (Including Yuengling)!! I happen to be fortunate enough to live in the community, but all my friends love it so much they prefer to drive across town to hang out here. This is a solid little hangout place that would be great for a summer palooza! It's away from a lot of the main drag restaurants/bars/stores, and it has a very similar set up to Flanagans. There's a pool, sand volleyball court, cornhole set-up, pool table, jukebox and a comfy amount of space in the (enclosed) bar area to hangout. We went here for an after-work shindig and it turned out to be a great place and a great time. Your mainstream beers were $2.50 for 20oz draughts and we had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves, One extra note when you're looking for this place: - It's within an apt/condo complex and it almost looks like the main clubhouse. I went here to burn some time between a wedding and the reception... I was looking classy with my bow-tie and so where the rest of my friends. Anyways, the food was outstanding. I can't remember what all was ordered but I did order the pretzel apps and the person next to me ordered the chicken tenders. Both were great and the sauces were very tasty. As far as the beer goes I enjoyed the usual Sam Adams seasonal. It is a typical bar, nice and large. I never though I could say this about TVS, but they may have 1 too many. The TV we were watching was flickering on and off every 49 seconds. During the Buckeye game none-the-less. We almost rioted! The bathroom wall was pretty kick ass in the design dept. I've lived at the LC Dublin for a few years now, and have been to the Goat many times. It's extremely frustrating to eat here. Food is decent, but inconsistent. The service is ALWAYS poor. Extremely slow and food isn't immediately offered at the bar. Many times servers won't offer a drink refill. Today I waited almost 30 minutes just to cash out when there were two other groups at the bar and multiple bartenders. It's a shame because this could be a very cool spot, but I refuse to carve out over an hour for just to get a quick drink. read more

I have lived here for 6 years, and the service gets worse and worse every time. Tonight was no exception. There might have been 10 people in the bar, ordered wings and one mixed drink. The drink didn't taste great, and wings took 30 minutes. The only reason I come here is because it's the only place around. Definitely going to check out Donericks now that is it open read more
