Went in a Friday night and the place was packed!! It's a weird design, the bar is set lower than the outside of the tables. I will say the service was great! They were very professional and prompt. Did not need to wait on anything from our table of 9. We held a deaf event called ASL Social. There were 5 dead people and 6 hearing people. The table ordered nachos and they were perfect. The menu had interesting choices. I think for me the restaurant was just too far for me to want to go back. It was mostly highway drinking but just seemed like you had to get in a lot of different highways. I did not drive, otherwise I would have gotten lost. We've l been here now a couple of times. This inside has changed a lot since it was a Damon's. There are still TV's all over the place. They have live music, at least on weekends. The legendary Dan Orr is here this evening. WOW! What a talent he is by himself and his guitar, of course. We started with drinks, I got the house Margarita and my man got a Stella Artois. Our server was very nice and attentive without being overbearing. All of the staff was having fun with the customers and each other. We got our normal meals that we get at any restaurant. I got the chicken tenders with fries and a side of garlic Parmesan sauce. My man got the fish and chips. The fish was breaded with Panko and did not have too much breading. Harry Buffalo has been a favorite of our family for a while and this visit did not disappoint! Parking: the lot is large and easy to access (though it can still get full). Food: American classics and always delicious! We love their pretzel sticks - perfectly soft with a slight hard outside, and come with a delicious honey mustard as well as cheese. I also love their build your own burger ! Their patties are smash burger style and cooked consistently well, and I love the pretzel bun option. They BYO offers several bun options, meat options and topping options. We also enjoy their wings and my mom loved their boom boom shrimp tacos! Ambiance: large bar in the center with a ton of tv options makes it great for sports viewing! They also offer more traditional tables/booths and have a large patio where they frequently host concerts in the summer! We have had consistently good service and had no complaints this time either! As for ambiance, the place has a standard sports bar feel, and there's nothing wrong with that. The food was pretty poor, unfortunately. I had the Buffalo Bowl, which is bland, and that's a generous description. You get a dry hockey puck of a burger sitting on top of a bowl of unseasoned white rice with a few bell peppers and tomatoes and a sliver of avocado that looked like it had seen better days. It tasted like nothing but regret. To be fair, my dining companions seemed happier with their burgers, but I get the impression that the only thing the kitchen knows to do with meat is incinerate it, and they don't have a spice rack. If you follow the GPS finding this restaurant isn't hard, just a little awkward to turn into. Parking was great. It has a large lot. I ordered these super herd burger with buffalo meat. It was pretty tasty until I got to the middle where it was more pink than I would like it to be. The server did not ask how I liked it cooked. The gluten free bun wasn't bad. The real winner was the sweet potato fries. They tasted like fair fries with the brown sugar glaze on them! It was busy but the server seemed aloof and neglected us somewhat. We sat at booth that had a TV with a baseball game on. When that was over we asked if they could switch it to another baseball game that was going on and we were informed that all the TVs are on the same circuit and they couldn't change it because other people were watched the game that just ended?? Couldn't smash it between my fingers and it had no taste at all. I called the restaurant to let the staff know. I assumed someone was playing a joke and I somehow got the wrong dish. I wasn't looking for a refund, merely wanted to let them know. Upon calling I was transferred to the manager Jennifer and she said that's just how the avocados are, they are prepackaged and she has no control over it. That would be an ok response had she been even a little apologetic. Again I wasn't asking for a refund, just thought it was a joke gone wrong and she was extremely rude and defensive. This was my first time coming here, although my husband and son have come before. He was surprised that I picked a sports bar, as that is not normally my thing. We came on a Wednesday evening, and at first I was nervous about whether the noise level was going to be too loud. The hostess said she wasn't sure if there was going to be any spot that was quieter than another, but she seated us away from the TVs. Actually, I liked where we sat, as it was a good place to do people watching. We ordered the BBQ Chicken Santa Fe Salad, and the day's special was three Chicken Fingers with a side and two sauces. The BBQ Chicken Santa Fe Salad pictured avocados, but when it came there were no avocados. Still, my husband said it was a good dish. I gotta say, the Chicken Tenders were fantastic! Three was just enough for me. I got it with fries, and they were good too. There are 13 sauces to choose from, so I got the Sweet BBQ and the Garlic Buffalo Parmesan. The later was too acidic to my taste, so I asked for Cajun Ranch, and that one was delicious. Now, here are my observations regarding the atmosphere: I kinda felt like this place was an automotive shop in a previous life. It had huge glass doors that led to an outdoor patio area, which I suppose would be nice during good weather. I really wish the staff had uniform looks. Basically, their dress code is "Wear Whatever You Find in Your Closet." I think it would look cool if their uniform was a t-shirt with a Harry Buffalo logo with "punny" sayings with blue jeans, or a flannel shirt with jeans. The shirts don't have to be the same color, just as long as they are flannel. Also, I think it would be great if they had merchandise. A t-shirt, a baseball cap, a beer mug, a jigger, stickers or decals. Finally, I thought the staff was hard-working and accommodating. The hostess checked on us to see if we were satisfied with our seats, and the waitress was gracious to get me a different sauce. With nine locations, mostly in Ohio, I think they have a good thing going on, and with a few tweaks they could have a great thing. read more

When I called days in advance to ask about seating for a large party on Saturday night, the girl I spoke with very unaccommodating. She told me the patio was gonna be booked because they had a band outside and possibly no seating inside either. I dismissed the rudeness thinking maybe she was having an off night. I was wrong. A few from our party arrived early to secure 2 tables. When the staff realized they were together, they were told to sit at one table! The staff outside were very nice, but inside it took the bartender's 25 minutes to get around to making 2 drinks - (I finally walked away). They weren't even busy inside, there were 3 people before us that finally got drinks. So by the time I went to the outside bar, got my drink, came back, they were still waiting and now a line has formed with 7 people. Eventually, the line fell apart too when those patrons got tired of waiting. Inside vs. Outside service was like night and day! The inside bartenders made no eye contact, no acknowledgment of our presence. Outside service was fast & friendly. And the outside had plenty of room unlike how I was told. The inside bartenders need lessons from Bar Rescue as they acted exactly the opposite of how one should when serving customers. The same lengthy wait goes for the poor souls from my party that went inside to order food from the bar. 2 people said it took well over 45 minutes to get their food. So sad because it's a really cool place and every time I'm in town over the years, I meet friends there. read more

The place overall is pretty big and they host live music in the summer which is always fun and very busy especially when North to Nashville is there. Have been here before. I like the atmosphere - Saturday afternoon lunch. Not too loud. Great service. Had a cheeseburger. Love that you can build your own with choices of cheese top Inge and buns. The cheeseburger was just ok - pretty tasteless. I never use salt but had to salt and pepper it. The pretzel bun was delish. Fries were ok nothing special. My husband got the Hennys which are wings breaded fried - dry served with a dipping sauce. Different than regular wings which they also have. Not a wing person but had a taste and it was yummo. Strange thing when we got back to the car my husband d said that there was a 70 cent service charge. For what you may ask ? Good question - and of course he didn't ask. Now seventy cents is not going to pay my mortgage but I like to know what I'm being charged for. We didn't order anything special. If I had seen the bill you can bet I would have asked . The buffalo is a staple in our family. It's a casual sports bar / restaurant that is kid friendly. The servers have always been very engaging and comfortable with my kids. Pros: 1) Strong list of rotating drafts 2)Large list of bourbons for a sports bar 3)Great kids menu 4)Ability to get buffalo for all burgers (for an up charge) 5) killer bison chili 6) Convenient location 7) more than enough TVs Cons: 1)Their famous chicken takes quite a long time...we always skip it 2) rotating draft list is very skimpy on winter seasonals / porters/ stouts. So if you want rotating IPAs in the winter your ok.....but that's not seasonal. 3) if you order wings they come with fries and they don't allow a substitution even for an up charge. Living just down Sunbury Rd I've been here a lot over the past decade. They've had ups and downs in food quality but they've made a noticable sustained improvement over the last couple years. Henny chicken has been one thing that has and still remains consistently great, if a little too greasy (let it drain longer out of the fryer). Columbus is always a busy place when it comes to restaurants. We decided to eat here after getting off the road from traveling from PA. It's easy to get to right off the interstate but a busy intersection. We were seated right away and our server was very attentive and recommended items that she had eaten. She even told us which ones were not as popular which was nice. The beer is cold on tap and the food came out hot and fresh. I've been here a few times to see some local bands. The outdoor setup is really nice, although it can be tough to find a seat. If you start at the bar then get seated you'll have 2 tabs to close. Not a big deal though. The food is ok. Buffalo dip was good, fries were good. The chicken tenders and the burger were a bit dry, but still ok. Decent bar type food. If it's a popular band and you want a table seat, I'm not sure how early you would need to get there. 30 minutes wasn't early enough, that's for sure. Parking can be tricky. I don't know if we've ever found a spot in the restaurant lot. Nor in the Firestone lot. We've always had to park at the Trotters Building up the hill a bit.
