This was the only center in the area open at 530 unfortunately. They hire young kids that you and I would question their parenting skills and life choices and they are the ones watching the kids. Several times went to pick up child and it was close to 100 degrees outside and my child was red faced and was dehydrated. I had to tell them to make sure he had water. Several times I would pick him up and he would have dirty diper. I finally said something about it and they would change him when I got their. Chips and salsa for a snack on a regular basis. Totally unacceptable. They are lazy and do the bare minimum. They put on a show when parents come to pick up the kids by putting on contemporary soft music in the lobby area and put a bowl of apples out. This place is a joke and they should be shut down.

My daughter started going to Ocotillo Kindercare when she was 2 and was in Ms Susan's class. I was…read moreso nervous handing over my child to daycare but Susan and the rest of the staff really helped us with the transition. They are open from 05:30 to 18:30. They are the only daycare in the area that has hours that work with my extended shift work. My daughter is now 5 and back to having Ms Susan as a teacher again. She's transitioned through 4 rooms and will be heading to elementary school in July. We plan to us the after school program then too to ease with the transition of a new school. My main requirements when we chose Kindercare were that the hours fit within my schedule - my daughters safety - her happiness - and her intellectual growth. I have always felt my daughter was kept safe. When she was still in diapers she was always clean and never rashed. This was a concern for me because of her sensitive skin. For the most part she was happy, but like all tiny humans she's had great days and grumpy days. If I had a "wish list" for Kindercare it would be for more structured learning. Although, I can honestly say she's learning and growing being there as it is now. I feel confident that she is prepared to start Kindergarten in July. The staff has been so friendly during drop off and pick up. I always feel like they genuinely like my daughter. I really appreciate that when I have had a concern and raised an issue that I was taken seriously. And I saw immediate results or they let me know the next week what the findings were. Ex: Speed bumps in the parking lot, Bullying, Poor class content, etc. They even sat down and talked with me when my FIL was going through the Stage4 terminal cancer and I was feeling overwhelmed. I was a little surprised when I saw the poor reviews today on yelp. I'm not affiliated or friends with anyone at Kindercare, I just genuinely like it. I have always felt confident and secure having her stay there when I have to work. We love our "daycare family"! They are such a huge part of our life.

I felt welcomed by the entire staff and everyone made my daughter feel comfortable while touring the classrooms. Casa has been an ENCOURAGING, FUN AND SAFE environment for my daughter. The teachers and staff have been kind, understanding and attentive to us throughout our entire time. Here are some of my thoughts: [Location] We ABSOLUTELY love the location! The school is beautifully designed to honor the Montessori values (Outdoor learning, gardening, etc.) The classrooms are setup to foster rigorous, self-motivated growth for our children in all areas of their development. The shops and restaurants close by are very kid friendly. My daughter is regular at Bottle & Bean. And, parents make an effort to get together there for coffee, etc. [Staff + Teachers] The teachers go above and beyond to ensure that our kids feel seen, safe, treated with kindness and are developing at their natural pace. My daughter has improved SO much in math, writing and Spanish since attending Casa. I cannot tell you enough how her teachers have truly been invested in her development. She is sent home with reading and math practices daily. It is important to HIGHLIGHT that my daughter understands and speaks Spanish. As parents we are strongly encouraged to work with our children at home to build on what they learn at school. [Families] I have met some of THE BEST parents at Casa Del Niño. We honor, respect and love all of our backgrounds. Many of us work to keep our kids connected outside of school because they genuinely love and care for one another. [Student Engagement] Our kids are celebrated every year when teachers host a "celebration of life" to honor their birthdays. It is one of the most thoughtful experiences my daughter has ever had at any school. The kids get to participate in it which is think is a great way to deepen their appreciation for one another. Last fall (2022) we had an AMAZING fall festival and where all students, staff and families got together for face painting, crafts, donations (created peace packs to hand out to those in need), outdoor play, a photo booth AND MORE! The teachers go ABOVE AND BEYOND to thoroughly and respectfully celebrate all cultures and ethnicities. This was important for me as a Black parent raising a Black child. I love the student and family engagement! Casa Del Niño is THE Spanish Immersion Montessori to school to attend. All of my questions, ideas and concerns have always been addressed promptly, kindly, and handled with care. We love it here and I believe you will too!

From Day 1 of being with the school something felt off. My 3 year old and us as the parents were frequently not greeted when walking into the school. The directors and assistant would be sitting on the computers at the front desk and continue to look down. Numerous times we entered the school only to hear them having what sounded like very personal discussions loudly at the front desk. Then when we'd go to drop our 3 year old off in his class, I always had to yell good morning numerous times for his teacher to look up from the iPad and acknowledge he had been dropped off. For our infant, drop offs into her class with Ms. Renee we're amazing. If Ms. Renee worked at a more qualified school, we'd follow her. As for the educational day, we were still left highly disappointed with our 3 year olds instruction. When we enrolled we were told his class was writing their names and doing lots of projects. Never once did he come home with a project, letters written on paper, or even a silly picture he drew. He would come home everyday absolutely filthy and be a crying mess. He'd often tell us about other kids getting in his face, pushing him, and generally not saying anything fun about his day. When we asked the teachers each day about his day we always got an answer of "fine." I don't think the teachers even knew who he was. There is so very little consistency within this school and often times I had no idea where my son was during pickup. On one occasion I walked around their classrooms for 15 minutes looking for him with no one knowing where my son was and truly no one seemed worried a bit. This confusion was the result of them switching classrooms and placing kids together in high ratios to the teacher. The moment we knew we had to switch schools was when I was approached by Carissa about my then 7 month's cradle cap. Carissa offered information about how to get rid of it and then proceeded to tell me that while she feeds my daughter, she picks it off her head. I was shocked. My husband and I only ever felt comfortable when our infant was solely in the care of Ms. Renee. Often times even the infants were moved rooms or had another person caring for them that I had never met and they never introduced themselves. This school does not seem to have the children be the focus. Their rates are extremely high (more expensive than California prices) and their quality of education, licensed staff, and appropriate care is lacking. I would not recommend this school at all. Adding to this review and I will be calling the corporate office. My 9 year old just informed me the teachers turn the AC up to an uncomfortable level if the children are talking and younger children are placed facing the corner and not allowed to participate. Absolutely inappropriate behavior by people supposedly there to care for children.

Sitter 2: Awesome, but moved away after a few months Sitter 3: Wanted to take my daughter to go pick her sister up from the airport on day one and hang out with her sister. Couldn't understand why we were uncomfortable with that. Sitter 4: NCNS first two days I was done with it. Tired always wondering if we'd have a sitter and what condition my daughter would come back in. Enter Bright Horizons. We had toured the Chandler facility when my daughter was only 4 or so months old. They didn't have openings. I called in after the whole debacle above and they luckily had an opening in the Infant room (daughter 11mo at this point). We immediately enrolled. I knew I liked the place but I didn't know how much. Here are some highlights. * They take pictures throughout the day of your little ones - super nice. * They have a running log of what your little one does all day - down to how much they eat - super nice. * They have a plan for developing your little one such as music days, art days, etc. - super nice. * They help your little one develop in areas they need development. For my daughter she needed help eating more solid foods and they've got her eating more solids than we have ever gotten her to (maybe it is peer pressure of other kids, I dunno) - super nice. * They always seem staffed and share kids that are transitioning from one room to another. * They will abide by your special requests such as dietary. They have a nice selection of foods for the little ones to meet your special requests or their special needs - super nice. In short, I feel very fortunate to have been able to enroll here. And on a side note - God Bless those gals in the Infant room. They take all the crying in stride and still smile.
