Our son has been attending since 2019, our daughter since 2022. I cannot express how much we love the teachers here- they love on our kids as if they were family! The new owner and the leadership team are dedicated to making sure that every day is packed full of adventures and learning! They've been so attentive with not only educating our little ones, but making sure they're healthy, happy, and building emotional intelligence and skills that will carry them through grade school. If I could leave no stars I would. This place's turnover is outrageous every since the old owners sold this Goddard School. If you do want you child seeing a new face every time you drop off take them to a different center. The director and new owners have no clue how to run a daycare center. As first time parents, we were very nervous to put our son into any type of childcare. I'm so glad we chose Goddard. The teachers are extremely caring, knowledgeable, and patient. The owner, Brielle, and Education Director, Mickenzie, are always happy to meet with parents and address any concerns we may have. My son has learned and grown so much since starting at 17 months old and loves his teachers. We enrolled our 5 year old for summer camp and she raved about it! She told us that our baby would love it too. We ended up enrolling our 4 month old and I am thrilled with our experience so far! Our baby actually smiles when she's dropped off and that tells me they must be taking great care of the kids. I love that they implemented temp checks for parents and kids at the door and that they have someone greet you at drop off to escort your kid to their room. It cuts down on sickness and makes it so easy to drop and pick up. All the teachers are sweet too. We get multiple pictures throughout the day and our baby is always smiling and doing some sort of activity. I would highly recommend this location. read more

We enrolled my daughter here, I was so excited and so was she. Then my employment was lost due to the business closing where I worked. I immediately spoke to Monica who is always at the front, and asked to cancel my ach drafts. She said that she would speak to Debbie and get back to me, I even asked if I needed to speak with her and she informed that SHE would handle it and get back to me. I heard nothing so the next day I emailed in to inquire, no response was given. So I called in on the following weekday and spoke with Monica. She said she DID speak to Debbie and confirmed my ach CANCELLED. Be warned to get ANYTHING and everything in writing from these two. My ach was in fact NOT cancelled despite Monica's word given. Any place that would put an unauthorized transaction through is no place I want my child. Yes it's money, however there WAS in fact a payment schedule in place for me to pay the remaining in cash as soon as I could. Good to know their word means nothing. It's 2016- we need everything in writting. If I can't trust you with a payment plan, why trust you with my child. Seems to me new management is in need. I'm not the first either with these types of issues- a few comments below is another family whom trusted their word and were let down as well. read more

We toured this school before our baby was born and we were so impressed. The owner told us he was there every day, that 100% of his staff knew cpr, and they are always available when you need them. Then we found out, THAT WAS ALL A LIE. My baby was sick within the first week we started him there. He was been sick every other week since (with the stomach flu twice). My husband and I understood that kids will get sick once they start daycare but not this much. This place is so unsanitary. We actually watched one of the teachers pick up our baby's pacifier from the floor and put it in his mouth. Didn't rinse it at all. There is not enough hand washing at this place. We've tried to call to check on our baby numerous times and nobody picks up the phone! EVER! We complained and the owner and director always have an excuse "oh, we need to call the phone company"; "I've been sitting here all day and I haven't heard the phone ring". Way too many excuses here. They fed our babies bottle to another child one day and again they were coming up with every excuse as to why it happened! I would flip out if my son was fed someone else breast milk! Are you kidding me?? All the owner cares about is money. He is only there when he needs to pick up the tuition or if there is an incidence. The infant room teachers are good but they are afraid of saying anything bad about the management/owner. You can tell the teachers aren't happy. All the owner cares about is money I can promise you that. We had to pay a ridiculous amount just to get my child out of there. BEWARE. read more

Ok this is my try #3: the other 2 honest reviews were requested to be removed. Here is my personal experience: we were customers of this location with our 2 children for a couple of years. The owner accused us of not paying the proper amount & said we owed more money. We showed him our bank account & the cleared check. The day that the deposit was made, there was apparently an internal mix up at the school & there was questions about our payment; that was "sorted out" and was supposed to be good. The owner then called us a month or so later saying we still owed this amount even though we were told it was cleared. My wife pulled out the checking account statement & once again no check was refunded & it still showed as deposited by the Goddard school a month or so before. My wife called our bank 3 times & they said the check was deposited & not returned to our account. The owner would not believe us & kept saying we owed this money even though we proved that it was in their account. There was an incident where my wife called me at work crying because the owner yelled at her over the phone & she was so upset by the whole manner in which he spoke to her that she had to pull over. I suggested to get the kids out of there ASAP and she did. I met her at home & she was very shaken up, needless to say I was upset as well. We paid our last months rent & never returned. My wife called the school as I stated above & as directed as well as the Franchise number. Her response she received was that since this is a franchisee & they do not handle these matters. We have been at The Marietta Goddard school since August 2014, and absolutely love it! The teachers have all been very helpful and really involved in our child's learning. It is hard to find a school that has qualified teachers, compassionate teachers & an actually curriculum all in one, and thus school really has it all. One teacher in particular has really made a huge impact on our child's life is Nicole. Our son requires a little more attention than others, and Nicole has been a God-Send because of that reason. She knows how to work with all types of children, which makes her an invaluable asset to this school. read more

I have had two kids in this day care. The teachers for the most part are great, they really care about the kids. They always answer my emails or calls when I have concerns. All the new upgrades (indoor gym, new playground, and other classroom materials) are great. The only issue I have is the fact they close for miscellaneous days thoughtout the year and the week between xmas and new years. They are a day care they should be open, I feel I'm being forced to use my vacation to cover them closing or pay some one else to watch my kids and I still have to pay for the days/week they are closed. read more

This is the worst school ever!. The owner and the team at the school do not care at all about the kids or the parent's concerns. My child was injured five different times within a month period, I took her out of the school because of that and they never did anything to fix the problem. The teachers are rude and not professional at all. You can tell they are there just to get a check, not to take care of children. I requested a refund and they deny that, even more, they were asking me to pay more money. I know this is a business and they are there for a profit, but they are playing with the life of children there and they don't care about the well being of them. This place is our home away from home for my family! I was so nervous about taking my little 13 month to school when I started back to work, but honestly just spending time with the teachers and at the school for a bit, I knew he was truly in great hands. DISHONEST AND INCOMPETENT DIRECTORSHIP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our Child was at this school for about a year and we have seen some of the worst practices ever. The biggest problem is the attitude of School's Director Stephanie which has brought the school this low. There is huge "COMMUNICATION GAP" between teachers, director and the Ownership. Issues are wrongly communicated by the director Intentionally to the Owner so that problems are placed under the rug, but off course they haunt the children and their families. Owner Debbie also tries to minimize issues and tries to ignore them, hence jeopardizing the child's needs and safety. School politics overshadow the quality in this school. Teachers change every 2-3 months. There are HUGE SAFETY ISSUES regarding this school. Our Child was coming home almost every day with bruises and scratches with no notification from school that how these happened. Furthermore, they moved my child to a higher class without having my son completely potty trained and without consulting the parents. My son used to come home wearing classmate's underwear and despite of repeatedly notifying the teachers and management, it continued. We explained that our child might get infection but they would not pay any attention. When we discussed with staff at another Goddard, they said child first of all child CANNOT be promoted to another class if not COMPLETELY POTTY TRAINED and using other classmates' underwear is HAZARD. When we notified this to the school director Stephanie, she very rudely and unprofessionally said "this is how we work and if you are not happy you may leave and don't spoil our mood and day ", thinking that we are stuck as we both work, but as parents no matter how busy we are we would never compromise on our child. My child gets meds if did not pass bowel and they simply refused to log it even when initially promised when we toured the school. It got to that point that the Director told us that if we want to continue staying in this school we need to keep our "MOUTH SHUT". Eventually this forced us to pull our child out from this school as we lost trust in them, and imagine the height of lying and cheating that on multiple occasions we got emails from the school about our child's nap and snacks schedule for later afternoons when we had picked up our child earlier that day. The lack of honesty and truthfulness at all levels (from teachers to the director and owner) is a regular practice at this school. My son deserves a SAFE ENVIRONMENT AND CARING in exchange of the FAT FEE they receive. Please think a MILLON times before joining this school. 1st time visitors will be shown all the good stuff like we were shown when we joined but later ALL THE REAL STUFF WILL COME OUT and as parents safety is our top priority and when a school does not pay attention to repeated reports and complaints, off course this causes frustration as I am sure management as parents will be concerned same way as we were if it mattered to their own children !!!!! and BTW we have documentation that we notified issues to the management repeatedly I WISH I HAD READ THE PRIOR COMMENTS AND CONCERNS ABOUT THIS SCHOOL BEFORE , THEN MY CHILD DID NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THIS read more

Worst experience ever! Completely unprofessional director and owner. We spent over an hour and half touring the school and the director and owner told us how different Goddard was and convinced us to take our son out of his current school and enroll him in their school. He attended one day and then the next morning they handed back our tuition check and told us they didn't actually have availability in the classroom for him so he would not be able to attend. As parents that both work full-time, you can only imagine our shock and frustration in being completely blindsided by their actions. Goddard, Marietta is an AWESOME school!! Ms. Jesse is the best as are all of the teachers and assistants at Goddard. My daughter started the school for the pre-k program and she was very upset about repeating pre-k because of her age. Ms. Jesse and the office staff made her feel better. My granddaughters have both attended Goddard School. All my interactions with the staff, when picking them up, have been helpful and courteous. It is more than 'daycare' as the kids really do learn a lot that is foundational for the kindergarten year. The school's protocol for cleanliness is very good. Adults must cover their shoes to enter the baby room to keep the floor clean for crawlers. The facility is very nice and the playgrounds are great. Parents are expected to send sheets for nap time, extra clothes for accidents, and adequate warm clothing for outside play. My youngest granddaughter is about to be promoted to the next class. Goddard School is very careful to place children in the class which is developmentally correct for them. Her teachers were very helpful with the potty training process. Miss Patty is fantastic and has taught both girls. I like the security at the school and the attention to keeping the children healthy. Great school. read more

Horrible school. I couldn't get my child out fast enough! In the short time that I was there, I witnessed them withhold and lie about a health hazard. My son has been attending Goddard since he was 9 months old. My youngest has been there since she was 10 weeks. I can't say enough wonderful things about this school. All of the staff know my children by name and are so loving and nurturing. My son is in the 3 yr old pre-k and I am amazed at what he is doing learning in his classroom. I love the security features (facial recognition), the indoor and outdoor playgrounds, the low student-to-teacher ratio, as well as the bright, cheery classrooms. I feel confident that my children are well cared for while they are there and to me, that is priceless. read more

I have two children that have been attending The Goddard School at Trickum for the past 2 years and it has become a home-away-from-home for them! The teachers are so attentive and affectionate, the school is always immaculately clean, and the administration is always helpful. I will be sad when they are too young to attend any longer. We went to a few Goddards around Atlanta as we relocated, and this location was by far the best. They were very patient with my son, and he learned a tremendous amount each and every day. Why would you voluntarily subject your child to this place? According to my child's "Daily reports", they changed 63 dirty diapers while she was enrolled here. They just gave me back 9 of the 34 I've given them. Lots of lying going on around this place. Glad to be moving on next week! read more

My child would come home with several bites within the same week and when I asked teachers and staff all they said is that it was normal. I talked to the owner over the phone but he didn't care either. He was never there, even though that's what all Goddard's promote, and actually just met him once when he was giving parents a letter saying that a parent had complaint, they were "investigating" and the teacher was on leave.The ratio, which is one of the reasons why they charged more was way over many, many times and no one cared. I actually was told that they were under the state ratio so it was "ok"...but for me it wasn't, I was paying a lot more just so my child could be with fewer kids than the State mandates and have better care. My baby also came home with a diaper rush several times and no one bothered to let me know. I would hear my child cry in the car until I got home and figured out what happened. The office staff is helpless, rarely answered the phone when I called and teachers weren't held responsible for anything. One of my baby's teachers wouldn't talk to me after I asked her about my baby getting bit for like the fifth time in the same week. She just redirected me to the office assistant for answers, which I never got of course. Too much money for such a bad care. Please know that not all Goddard's are like this. There are many out there that have great management and teachers. Unfortunately the Goddard on Trickum is not one of them. HORRIBLE SCHOOL! read more
