Love it. Exactly what you want. Burgers delicious. Wedges huge. Breakfast biscuits are killing it.

This place reeks of cigarette smoke. They had good chips though. I am lost.I feel kind of sorry for people that live in Catawba

The restaurant had a good number of patrons, with about four tables available. I ordered, and my food came out in less than 10 minutes. I thoroughly enjoyed the eggs, the tea, and the pancake. The bacon was thin and overcooked. I ate it, of course, but I will not order it should I return for breakfast. Service was quick and cordial. When I left around 10:40 am, there were a few people waiting for tables.

Once to food came it was ok...but not worthy of the 4/5 stars that others have offered or the ranking as a great brunch place. She had a special with poached eggs, sausage, and one slice of French toast. Sausage seemed like it might have been fresh from a supermarket frozen package. French toast came super late. My omelet and biscuit were good enough (but not hot enough...did they sit around waiting to be expedited...short servers?). As for the grits. They ran out. How does a breakfast place in NC run out? They finally came after I had finished the omelet. Sigh. THEN the single slice of lukewarm French toast came. After the grits. After she was long finished with her eggs. It WAS delicious though. Perhaps an off day? Happens. Again, servers were delightfully polite. But food was only average, and the kitchen...well...read above...

Fresh Egg - Where Diets Go to Die (Happily)…read more Our group of 4 1/2 (yes, somebody only ate half their plate because self-control showed up late ) walked into Fresh Egg thinking we were just grabbing breakfast... and walked out needing a nap and a moment of silence. Let's talk FOOD. That omelet? Fluffy like it trained at egg boot camp. Stuffed with sausage, ham, bacon, cheese basically the Avengers of breakfast. The home fries were crispy golden cubes of perfection. Not soggy. Not greasy. Just straight-up breakfast excellence. The ham slices were thick and flavorful like they meant business. That biscuit sandwich? Soft, buttery, and holding everything together like a breakfast superhero. And those cheesy grits? Creamy enough to make you emotional. Add melted cheddar and it's basically Southern comfort in a bowl. Portions? Generous. Flavor? Elite. Coffee? Flowing like we were at a caffeine convention. Now let's talk about Jonathan Jonathan delivered AMAZING service. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced, and on top of everything like a breakfast conductor running a delicious orchestra. Drinks stayed filled, food came out hot, and he made sure our whole crew felt taken care of. That kind of service turns a good meal into a great experience. The vibe inside? Busy, lively, happy breakfast energy everywhere. You can tell this is a spot people return to again and again. Final verdict: We came hungry. We left full. We left smiling. And yes... we'll be back. Fresh Egg you cracked the code.

Would rather have grilled vs deep fried potatoes, and omelette was one of those thin ones that gets the mix spread out over the flattop and then had some toppings in the middle. Prefer real eggs with toppings in the eggs. Clean, open space. Didn't hate it in any way, just wouldn't be in any hurry to return.

And it's like that every time I walk in. This location is obviously well managed. And the staff here is always friendly. They're also good at their jobs. The food is good too. It's definitely expensive for a sandwich place but I'm willing to bet that's up to corporate so you can't fault local management. Furthermore, they have a water theme in this place with pictures on the wall--lake and ocean. I'm not sure what the ocean is all about. If there's an ocean around here, I'm not aware of it. The picture with the sailboats on the lake (could be an ocean) is in the bathroom. Nothing like looking at sailboats while urinating--very relaxing. In fact, studies have shown that water makes people feel more at peace (not while urinating). Back to the food, the cookies are dynamite! It's really strange because other Jersey Mike's have good cookies--and the same cookies--but they aren't the same. These are better. Maybe it's the 'ocean air.' One negative: They don't have cucumbers. Not sure why. It's an odd thing. But I still highly recommend Jersey Mike's, especially this location.
