I had to stretch my mouth wide to just bite. YUM!! (IMPORTANT!!! The added Card Fee is $1! Bring Cash to avoid extra charge.) I arrived at The Good Donut (El Monte) on Tuesday (around 6:03AM). Parking is easy. There's a medium size lot. Staff is very honest & very friendly. Staff happily welcomed me and wished me farewell. Staff easily uses words like "-my friend" and Staff makes polite talk seamlessly. Staff works hard. On ambiance, the location is comfortable. There's several tables, and there's a TV. However, this location is mostly an order-and-leave spot. There were many customers that rush in, order, and leave. It's a very popular donut shop in the community! The location is also well-ventilated and clean. Overall, The Good Donut (El Monte) is a WONDERFUL donut shop. There's integrity and hard work in those tasty goods. We got hungry after our car wash, and we were craving for breakfast sandwich. We found this place with good reviews on Yelp. I order an apple fritter doughnut, ham, egg, and cheese, croissant, and an iced coffee. The apple fritter doughnut is very crispy, which I like that a lot. It was not overly sweet, and I can still taste a little bit of apple flavor. The ham, egg, and cheese croissant was bomb! The croissant was very fluffy and fresh. The sandwich itself is perfect on a Sunday morning when you do not want to make breakfast. The iced coffee was not too strong. It will be perfect if it is little stronger. There is a small parking lot available for parking. Street parking is also available. Price is reasonable. The owner of the shop is very friendly and intensive. The store is very clean. Just tried this place for the first time today. It happened that our soccer group needed a large order. Called super early in the morning and they were able to accommodate a large order. We were happy with how the portion size for the donuts were. We were happy that everything was fresh and delicious. It wasn't super sweet and the staff was amazing. Overpriced donuts. I hate saying it but the amount they charge for their is ridiculous. The sizes also went down for their normal donuts. Very sweet customer service but they've messed up multiple times when I've asked for a jelly filled. Sometimes I question the cleanliness not because the women aren't clean but they have a young boy working their (family) and he has sneezed without going and washing hands also doesn't really run the prices right. It shares a small parking lot with a couple of other small restaurants so it might get a bit crowded during meal times. Interior: There are a couple tables if you want to eat inside. Service: The woman at the cashier was very nice. She knew it was my first time visiting and gave me a free sample of donuts. There were not many people there so I got my food pretty quickly. Food: I got a ham, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich and a regular chocolate donut. The sandwich was cooked to order and there was the option to add on bacon and avocados. LOCATION - Inside of a small plaza where Cha Cafe is. The sign is simple but you can't miss it. Directly across from the Gidley Middle School. FOOD - I ordered their Bacon & Egg Croissant with Avocado and that hit the spot for an early breakfast! The croissant was crispy and warm, while the egg and bacon was cooked just right. The creamy avocado was the perfect addition too. I also ordered a small coffee, which was actually pretty good. You can't go wrong with that bold donut drip coffee. It is a rare pleasure to find something new where you've looked before so many times. When that "something" is a donut shop... and the "where" in question is close to your doorstep, it's just that much sweeter. Two mornings in a row, we hosted a Pinewood derby workshop for our Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and families. I called the day before to make two separate coffee orders from Barstuck's (travelers of Pike) and several dozen donuts from a different donut shop. Imagine my joy when I showed up to have Barstuck's tell me, "oh, someone came in with your name and took your travelers" (yeah right)... then after waiting for them to "re-make" my coffee, I went to the other donut shop and they looked at me like I was made of cheese--- NO DONUTS READY. In a small panic... and with dozens of kids and their families arriving shortly... I pulled up the trusty Yelp app, and found THE GOOD DONUT, just a couple blocks south of my house. I called ahead and asked if they could have three dozen donuts ready in ten minutes. The absolute sweetheart on the phone said no problem, and I put the hammer down in the truck to get there in five. When I arrived, the store was full of people at tables, enjoying coffee and donuts. The case featured many fresh looking donuts. Signs featured the usual boba drinks, sandwiches, and other accoutrements of the local donut shop. What set this place apart was the sheer joy of the storekeepers. They welcomed me in, never stopped smiling, and had everything ready. Other patrons were greeted and fared well by name-- probably regulars, but just a cool small-town vibe on busy Lower Azusa. The young lady who helped ring me up threw in two bags of donut holes for good measure... always a really nice gesture. As I left, she proffered a beautiful smile and said, "Come back tomorrow." So I did. Considering the stink-eye I've gotten from other donut shop staff in the past at other locations, I think I found my new donut shop and will recommend others come here too. I didn't get to eat any of the donuts (you know, ketosis tends to slow down when you consume sugar-coated fried dough) but everyone scarfed them up and said they were really good. read more

Its National Donut day and I just happened to stumble upon this cute little shop on my way to work. To say the staff is nice is an understatement. The ladies were so welcoming I felt like I was a long time regular customer, like I was family. They asked what I liked and if there's was any preferences I had. They even snuck an extra donut in my dozen. They asked how my day was going and were attentive to customers sitting enjoying their coffee. The donuts were AMAZINGLY YUMMY!!! I believe they close when they sell out, as I've shown up later in the day and they've been closed, even though it was before their listed closing hour. The donuts here are fresh and cheap. I also distinctly remember the kindness of the woman who was working the counter that day, but I don't necessarily remember what it was.
