I made a stop to try their breakfast burritos $8.00. The Burrito was affordable, warm and very delicious. The salsa balanced out the flavor. They also sell donuts!

Ordered 20 sandwiches for 5:30am pickup and also got 2 dozen fresh donuts. Nice people that run this shop. Sandwiches were tasty and fresh. Most importantly, I need the sandwiches at 5:30am in the morning.

This corner shop is on my way to work and I always pass by it thinking I should get breakfast from here for our company breakfast. Finally came in the other day and everyone really enjoyed it. Service is always pleasant and fast.

Craving some breakfast items after breakfast hours? Top Donuts sells more than just donuts, they have have sandwiches and really good breakfast burritos. I've been to this plaza so many times for Mr. Chopsticks and noticed this donut shop at the end of the plaza by Santa Anita Ave. Looks very much like a Mom & Pop shop. Saw many people mentioning breakfast burritos and really interesting pastry filled donuts. You guys got my attention! Calling ahead of time to make sure they are open is recommended. This place does close early, like around 2PM and they open really early. Great for those who work really early or just getting off the graveyard shift for some delicious breakfast. Breakfast burritos are $5.75 with tax and it's loaded with creamy soft potatoes, crispy bacon, savory sausage, and perfectly spiced salsa. The tortilla wrapped exterior is nicely fried to give it a nice crispy crunch to the burrito. Make sure to chow down on this burrito quickly or else the crispy exterior starts to soften and the bacon loses it crisp. Donuts here are also very good. I like coffee flavored donuts and pastry filled donuts. For half dozen it's like $5 dollars and for a full dozen it's close to 10 bucks including the pastry filled ones. I really like their jelly and creamed filled donuts. Instead of being filled through a hole like other donut shops that actually slice the donut in half and then slather on the filling. Each and every part of that donut is covered in filling in the middle. Nothing like taking multiple bites into a donut and feeling duped with the filling. Or a soggy donut; not here though! The jelly was not too overly sweet. The cream had a really nice light vanilla taste. Also, the best part was that these fillings do not have after tastes. Usually when I eat Dunkin Donuts filled pastries, the fillings have a weird chemical aftertaste. So glad this place has better donuts. Also if you come here later in the day like around noon, the selection of donuts do start to dwindle since it's past morning hours and no new batches of donuts will be made due to near closing. So c'mon early to grab some fresh donuts! Overall definitely coming back for more pastry filled donuts and their breakfast burrito! For under 6 bucks for a breakfast burrito of that size I could eat like half for lunch and the other half for dinner if I wanted to.

Breakfast sandwich... This is a large Styrofoam container, not a small one

I'm writing this review based on the breakfast sandwich. Ordered a bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich for $7.50. I was at first surprised that it was served in a large Styrofoam container and not just wrapped in a piece of paper, and when I opened the Styrofoam container, I realized it was because the sandwich was quite huge. The portion was definitely a lot larger than I was expecting, and probably the biggest I received from the donut shop. The croissant was very buttery and delicious. Would definitely recommend the sandwiches from this place. I will say I didn't try the donuts, because the selection was pretty sparse at around 8 AM on a weekday morning with the mostly yeasted, glazed or chocolate donuts. There was plenty of parking.

I recommend the truth if the sandwiches and donuts are rich it looks clean and friendly to serve

Every time I come to this donut shop and it doesn't matter what time it is, the donuts seem to be fresh and that's probably because they only make the basics... so that could be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. I grabbed a Cinnamon Roll http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/top-donut-and-sandwich-shop-el-monte?select=DnA49A1SNoAXS_Nxx5U8fw#pcOJNXaJOsR7dq0VfIX0pg as always it was soft and fresh http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/top-donut-and-sandwich-shop-el-monte?select=DnA49A1SNoAXS_Nxx5U8fw#6HHOVk6YL4zUvOZlSXIUOw two thumbs up! Many of these indy donut shops serve sandwiches of some sort either on bread, bagel or croissant.... these guys do a breakfast burrito so I decided to give it a try. Breakfast Burrito - ($2.59) http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/top-donut-and-sandwich-shop-el-monte?select=DnA49A1SNoAXS_Nxx5U8fw#zftNKZNpXFfNxSuQoerHIw YES the price is only $2.59 but the size is ridiculously small.... you can see from photo it's much smaller than the "Napkin" I placed it on... Bacon, Sausage, Potato, Cheese and Egg (yeah singular so I'm guessing only ONE) but I will say this little thing is cooked to perfection http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/top-donut-and-sandwich-shop-el-monte?select=DnA49A1SNoAXS_Nxx5U8fw#lzW56QZZjJ7Y0MeUeh9AbA bacon was nice and crisp, sausage a good plus, potato was slightly crispy and egg was fluffy and nice, if they only made this average size it would be a Winner.....

I had to stretch my mouth wide to just bite. YUM!! (IMPORTANT!!! The added Card Fee is $1! Bring Cash to avoid extra charge.) I arrived at The Good Donut (El Monte) on Tuesday (around 6:03AM). Parking is easy. There's a medium size lot. Staff is very honest & very friendly. Staff happily welcomed me and wished me farewell. Staff easily uses words like "-my friend" and Staff makes polite talk seamlessly. Staff works hard. On ambiance, the location is comfortable. There's several tables, and there's a TV. However, this location is mostly an order-and-leave spot. There were many customers that rush in, order, and leave. It's a very popular donut shop in the community! The location is also well-ventilated and clean. Overall, The Good Donut (El Monte) is a WONDERFUL donut shop. There's integrity and hard work in those tasty goods. I happily recommend. 4.9 out of 5

I order an apple fritter doughnut, ham, egg, and cheese, croissant, and an iced coffee. The apple fritter doughnut is very crispy, which I like that a lot. It was not overly sweet, and I can still taste a little bit of apple flavor. The ham, egg, and cheese croissant was bomb! The croissant was very fluffy and fresh. The sandwich itself is perfect on a Sunday morning when you do not want to make breakfast. The iced coffee was not too strong. It will be perfect if it is little stronger. There is a small parking lot available for parking. Street parking is also available. Price is reasonable. The owner of the shop is very friendly and intensive. The store is very clean. I'll come back for sure.

Early Morning Donut Run... With One Very Dramatic Muffin…read more Decided to stop by this donut shop early in the morning to grab a few treats for hubby and me. There were a handful of parking spots available around 7 AM, so parking was easy, and the shop itself was very clean, bright, and welcoming. There were actually quite a few customers inside already, which is always a good sign! Since it had been forever since I last bought donuts, I ended up picking up a little variety: a cream cheese croissant, cheese muffin, blueberry muffin, and some donut holes. Now... let's talk about the muffin. First of all, it was HUGE and costed $3.50, hoping it was worth the price. But the moment I picked it up... the top literally fell completely off and beheaded itself! I just stood there looking at it like, "Well... that escalated quickly." Unfortunately, the muffin itself was the biggest disappointment. I'd honestly give it about 2/5 stars. It was very dry, and despite it being a cheese muffin, I couldn't really taste any cheese at all. It just wasn't worth the money for me. The donut holes (I think around $2.50 for about half a bag) were decent, but I've definitely had softer and fluffier ones elsewhere. They satisfied the sweet tooth, but they weren't particularly memorable. On the bright side, service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, the line moved quickly, and I was in and out within minutes. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by and gave this place a try since it was nearby. I probably wouldn't come back specifically for the muffins, but I'd be willing to give some of their breakfast sandwiches or other menu items a shot next time. Happy eats!

Donuts, drinks, sandwiches were great. Cronuts not so much.. I've been really craving a cronut lately, many donut shops don't make them anymore. And saw that they still make them and only have a limited amount before they sell out everyday. It would be best to call to see if they have any left before making you way there if that is what you're looking for specifically, which I was. The recent photos of their cronuts looked so good from other people and sadly that wasn't what I got when I stopped by on a Friday morning around 9am. They have a list of filling you can choose from. I chose Custard, wasn't too sweet and just as expected. Cronut itself was almost like a sliced white bread texture- not much layers like a croissant, not really flaky or buttery.. Glaze on the outside was very very sweet and too thick it created a crust.
