I haven't gone to this shop but a parent brought these for treats after the soccer game. These donuts were the Best! The cake was crisp yet soft and the topping was just right. The donut combination was chocolaty and crunchy yet crumbly at the same time. I have to go there myself. The parent said the service is quick and friendly. The place is clean and welcoming.

Amazing service and friendly staff. Your typical donut shop. They have a promotion going on right now of buy one get one free drink. They have a large selection and even food. Inside is very nostalgic feeling and 2010 vibes. Great place to stop by to get your morning coffee ans donuts.

It's a regular-looking donut shop, with a casual vibe without the bells and whistles. As for the donuts- Definitely hype. It might have been because it was around 2:30 pm when we arrived. Their donut offerings were okay-looking. Get the glazed donuts, when all else fails. Parking is limited.

I am new to frequent the 626 area and will FOREVER go to Rose Donut & Sandwiches. The owners are the friendliest folks and really make my visit above and beyond! Not only do they have a large variety of yummy donuts, they also have an extensive menu for breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I first came here in March 2024 and just recently came back again this week for work. The line was long, but moved quickly. No matter how busy it was, they took the time to conversate and wish me well. It was an amazing start to my morning. They have some seating indoors. Paring is plenty as it's in a private lot, easily accessible from Rosemead Blvd and Longden Ave. They accept cards as well, I'm not sure if there's a $ minimum, though. I am so fortunate to have found Rose Donut & Sandwiches and am eagerly looking forward to coming back soon!

Ummmm... I was today years old when I found out Rose Donuts had amazing sandwiches! I got a small Ultimate Sub and it was amazing. The bread and all the ingredients were so fresh. I just ate it a few seconds ago and am literally craving it already lol looks like I'll be back soon. Oh also, the sweetest Auntie and Uncle run the shop and they even threw in 2 donut holes to go with my order.

Wide selection of your typical donuts along with others and sandwiches. Staff is friendly too! Highly recommend.

TIP: ADD $4 FOR A SIDE OF BANANA MAC NUT PANCAKES TO YOUR CHIMICHURRI STEAK Chimichurri steak with 2 fried eggs and 2 banana macadamia nut pancakes: 5/5. I'm always conflicted between sweet or savory for breakfast, but this solves all my problems. The banana mac nut pancakes were perfect - so fluffy, not too sweet, so many bits of macadamia. Chimichurri steak was yummy, but I'll try ordering it medium rare next time if they allow me to. All this for $24 is such a steal. Chicken katsu with rice and mac salad: 5/5. Bouncy, snappy pieces of chicken that are not dry at all. Seasoned so well!

They captured the Hawaiian relaxed environment real well. I like their location selection isn't too busy and the dining area is simply decorated and overall provides a "chill" atmosphere environment to dine in. The food itself is pretty good. I ordered the Macnut banana pancake. The portion was huge, I could only finish half. The flavors are ok, could be better. I miss the syrup options in Hawaii... here they only have maple syrup. The macadamia nuts were too soft. In Hawaii there was much more crunch to the pancakes. My family ordered the Kailua pork omelet, soft shell crab pancake and other items. They seem to really enjoy the food and say they would come back. It's a good place to get some island food without flying over to Hawaii. Would come back.

Had a dinner reservation with some girlfriends celebrating two of their birthdays. The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. You would have to get a good amount for sharing. Entrees, depending on what you order is small as well. But we enjoyed ourself.

Very obliging and accommodating. Food: 5 stars, surprisingly good, right amount for us. I was full but I can see where other reviewers say portions are small. It's small if u're a heavy eater. But the quality is definitely there. Ambiance: trendy, high energy, casual vibes where u can lounge and have a beer while munching on fries...or u can choose to be poshy and have a glass of wine with a salad and Chilean sea bass. It's flexible to accommodate both as there are different sections. Parking: street metered 1 hour parking. 3 stars, not their fault but 1 hour is simply not enough. It can get super busy and the server can be pulled left and right, so cut them some slack during super busy hours. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended .

But with each new Hong Kong style restaurant I try, the more expansive my view, and belly, get. Alice's Kitchen, specifically this one in Temple City, was a refreshing look at not just the food but the vibe as well. Design - Falling into a different world Walking into Alice's Kitchen from the back parking lot is like walking into a vibrant food court back in the 1980s. Bright neon signs are placed throughout the dining room floor, faux food stalls can be seen to give more of a community feel to the inside, and I love the sprawl of different props of newspapers, t-shirts hung on clotheslines, and big advertisements on the walls like you might see in a food court. It really elevated the atmosphere of the space and I loved their branded orange plates, bowls, spoons, and chopsticks. It gave whimsy to this place. Staff - Cool The staff here are like what you expect from any Chinese restaurant. You try to flag one down or grab their attention with your wandering eyes and when they come over you can tell them what you want. They take your order and usually within 5-7 minutes you'll start to see your food heading your way. Perfect for anyone hungry and dying to eat right away. When you ask for to-go boxes at the end of the meal (you definitely will) moments after you get your food packed someone will appear with a tablet ready for you to pay right there at the table. Talk about speed. Food - Onions galore I see that in Hong Kong cuisine there is this mix match of Western and Chinese tastes put together. This fusion of ideas is what brings something like their large pineapple bun sandwiches to existence. We got the BBQ pork (char siu) pineapple bun sandwich and this came warm with a fried egg, slab of butter, generous slices of BBQ pork, and a savory sauce. For one person, this could be a good main dish to be accompanied by a side. For this split between two people, this is a savory sweet dish perfect to wet the appetite. Highly recommend getting one of these. The sweet & sour pork was nostalgic to me. Served with chunks of white onion, green peppers, and pineapple the flavor of this reminded me very much of the sweet & sour pork Chinese-Korean restaurants serve, except for the color being different and no cabbage in the sauce. It has the sweetness brought out by the pineapple but still a bit of tang and deep savoriness of the pork with each bite. The onions were undercooked and you'll see this as a pattern for all their dishes containing onions. The French style filet mignon chunks were fantastic. Juicy and flavorful, each bite makes the mouth water more and more and the texture gave such pleasant mouth feels. The fried basil accompanying it also gave a burst of freshness and herbacious flavors. Just be careful not to accidentally bite into a chunk of ginger. Unless you love ginger. Then go right ahead. The beef chow fun with black bean sauce was great. Nice balance of their black bean sauce with the textures of the chunks of beef, the onions and peppers in this add a nice crunch and difference in flavor that balances all the savoriness. The tofu with spiced salt was also incredible. When I ate this still piping hot the crisp exterior with the hot soft interior made me smile. The spiced coating was flavorful and with some rice it gives a nice balance with each bite. Final Thoughts With all the food we got for dinner, I'm sure I leaned more into the Chinese cuisine side than the Hong Kong side. However, I was happy with the quality and depth of flavors in everything I had. Alice's Kitchen has definitely been one of the better Hong Kong restaurants I've had and I'm excited to explore more of this cuisine in the future. Can't wait to come back!

This is a burger joint with a diverse menu, including one of the biggest breakfast burritos in town. I got my burrito with bacon. The burrito comes with hashbrown style potatoes, eggs and cheese - you get a choice of ham, bacon or sausage for your meat (or have it without meat). The bacon was crispy and remained crispy when I reheated my other half. Not only is the bacon crispy, the burrito has a generous amount of it! Oh and the other plus - the tortilla does not come wet and soggy and remains in perfect condition if you have leftovers. The burrito comes with only one salsa and to be honest, you really do need two for such a big burrito. I'm a green salsa girl but I asked what I should go with and I was recommended the red one (the green one is supposedly spicier). The red salsa did not disappoint other than I needed one more for my whole burrito (there's no kick to this salsa but it's tasty). The burrito itself isn't bursting with flavor on its own and it requires the salsa to compliment the other ingredients. But, who eats a breakfast burrito without salsa? There is ample parking in their parking lot and there's seating both inside and outside. I will definitely be returning to satisfy my breakfast burrito craving very soon and if this is what you're looking for - stop reading reviews and go get you one at Lucky Boy (it's served all day).

First bite of the burger was a little disappointing. Burger was thin and seemed overcooked to me. I thought it was dry. Roll, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo were ok. Not bad overall but for some reason I expected a better burger experience. Let's talk about the fries. Truly classic French fried potatoes. Perfectly cooked. Light golden color. Nice texture and flavor. What every French fry should look and taste like. Coke was great. Sorry to say I was not impressed by the burger. This was my experience on 05/09/2026. Could have been cleaner and maybe the burger not overcooked. Your experience may be totally different.

Credit Cards: They're accepted only if you spend a minimum of $15. Restroom: There's a unisex restroom through the curtains towards the back of the shop. Location/Parking: Located on the NW corner of Las Tunas and San Gabriel. Believe it or not, but this place use to be Half and Half boba shoplocation! Mind blown riiiiiight? Parking can be found in the small strip mall/plaza. Ambiance/Decor: Small little shop with modern decor. There's about 3 tables that seat 4 and one that is for 2 people. Entertainment: You can get some selfies in with their backdrop on the right side when you walk into the shop. Service: Service was good. The staffer behind the register was friendly, attentive, offered great suggestion of pancake to order, and was informational about their shop. Food Of Choice: 1) Combo A: It's a combo that comes with any pancake, hash brown, and a milk tea. I decided on the combo pancake that has cheese, pork, and vegetable. It was good, but pricey. It'll be great if they had more pork and vegetable. I did like the milk tea. It wasn't overly sweet. Morning Delight For Thought: Would like to come back and try their signature pork sandwich.

She already gave me an attitude when I ordered in English, and I definitely felt like I was treated differently because of it. I ordered four dishes for three people. After we were done eating, I asked for to-go boxes. She didn't give me a bag, so I figured they didn't have bags. Then I saw a man eating by himself ask for a to-go box and he was given a nice paper bag. Another lady next to me got one too. When I asked if I could have a bag, she was going to give me a paper one but then switched it to a plastic bag instead. I asked why she didn't give me a paper bag, and she said it wouldn't fit my two boxes, which doesn't make sense because all their to-go boxes are the same size. Why treat people like that just because they don't speak your language? Honestly, why treat anyone that way at all?
