Got the House Mix for $15 again. Very fast and friendly service! Hardly any wait since it was around 7:30am. Parking lot was basically empty. The donuts smelled delicious and were warm in the box.

Got assorted donuts today for work. Donuts were so fresh and fluffy, will be coming back for more!

Great place. Amazing food and drinks. Pay cash if possible. Friendly help always a seat and table available. Plenty of options from donuts to sandwiches and burgers and hotdogs.

Service with some laughs! I came here a couple of years ago to get some doughnut holes for an outdoor birthday party at a park. I figured that it would be a convenient snack... no need for a knife, silverware, or paper plates. Just grab and go! The doughnut holes turned out great! There's less mess since they are bite sized! This time, I needed some quick energy. I usually wake up hungry and want to eat as soon as possible before I get a headache. I dragged my friends with me and we all got some jokes from the owner. He saw us taking photos of everything and he made some funny comments about charging us for pictures...lol! When I finally decided on a whimsical (not really cute) $2 decorated doughnut, the owner said he makes those for children...haha! I'm a tall kid! Hee hee! I gobbled that fluffy doughnut down in a few bites! So yummy! This is a fun shop on the corner of Lower Azusa Road and Temple City Boulevard. Carlos said it used to be a Tastee Freeze back in the day. He recognized the unusual shape of this building! Yes, it kind of stands out!

04/15/2018 I've been here before because this donut shop has been here for ages. You used to be able to get burgers here but now it's just donuts. There is an ice cream case so you can make your choices. I doubt they would give you samples but I didn't ask. We were in here today because Nadine saw pictures of Panda donuts. Alana, Gloria, and I were along for the ride. Everyone got a donut for breakfast. Great road trip food. Get your coffee and lottery tickets here too. Powerball is at $112 million on this day. So, just a note if you happen to be reading my review and saw the Panda donut comment. Yes, they are cute in the pictures other people took. The owner says these are special orders or call in ahead of time. That means these donuts are not gonna sit on the shelf for hours or days like that other donut place. It gets stale when it sits there for display. I would prefer fresh donuts to take pictures of them devour them. I'm just sayin' for those of you that have been to that other place.

I've been coming here to buy my donuts for a long time. Their donuts are always fresh and fluffy. It's way better than those will known donut chains. Today when I bought my donuts, I was super happy when I saw these cute heart sprinkled glazed donuts. They had 2 kinds, chocolate or vanilla. I got 3 chocolate. I hope they continue to have those till Valentine's day. Overall, nice people and great donuts.

Apple fritters as big as your head.

Yummy, fresh donuts, everytime. Come in the morning, when everything is extra fresh. The donuts are huge, especially the apple fritters. And absolutely delectable. I think my second favorite is the apple filled donut, and then the jelly filled / custard donuts. Safe to say, if it has filling, I'm getting it. Lol. Def come here for your donut cravings, and don't forget a side of coffee to wash it down.

The guy gave my daughter 2 donut holes as a treat, so sweet.

My #1 donut shop. When I want to get some donut or croissant sandwich I'll come here. The guy works here has great customer services and always made my day. I recommended to my friends and they love their croissant sandwich too.

I love this donut shop! They have somewhat of a small selection of donuts compared to others, but the donuts are super fresh and delicious. The oil used is clean and fresh, so the pastries of the gods don't have an after taste. At night, it's well lit...and ready for business! "Nice hair," shouted an older gent that worked there. Should give a bonus star for that!

It's also filled with a light, soft cream. DELICIOUS! I arrived at Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel) on a Wednesday (around 3:42PM). Parking is simple. There's a competitive customer parking lot. And there's a city public parking lot about a two minute walk away. Staff is very friendly, professional, and welcoming. Staff maintained a bright smile throughout my visit. Staff immediately helped me. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or counter; however, the kiosk felt very dated & the prices on the kiosk felt less transparent. I recommend just ordering at the counter. There's no penalty for using card at this donut establishment. As mentioned, I love the Tiramisu Donut ($4.95). It's not too sweet; rather, it all felt balanced. However, this is a VERY messy donut; I recommend eating this donut with a fork and knife. The powder fall everywhere, and your clothes can quickly get stained with chocolate powder. Still, it's a delicious pastry. On ambiance, Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel) is comfortable. This business is more reminiscent of a cafe than a typical donut shop. There's customer internet with password; details on the counter. There's a gender neutral restroom. And there's an electrical outlet & outlet adaptor for devices. The location is fairly small; there's one interior table and one small counter. Fortunately, this place felt airy and well-ventilated. There's also some upbeat, fun music in this clean spot. Overall, I found unexpected joy at Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel). There's sincere passion & hard work within these walls. If searching for a special donut for a special someone, this is an easy spot to recommend. 4.9 out of 5! Go!

Ordered a single shot espresso and the very popular butter pistachio donut. It was HUGE. I shared it with a co-worker as I knew there was just no way I alone could finish it. This thing was decadent... and totally up anyone's alley who has a severe sweet tooth. I typically do not like overly sweet things, but I have to admit, this was very good. The espresso was good and strong, and for me, a single shot was more than enough to get me through my morning. As I was the only customer in the place at the time, service was quick and friendly. I will definitely be back to try other donuts!

Early Morning Donut Run... With One Very Dramatic Muffin…read more Decided to stop by this donut shop early in the morning to grab a few treats for hubby and me. There were a handful of parking spots available around 7 AM, so parking was easy, and the shop itself was very clean, bright, and welcoming. There were actually quite a few customers inside already, which is always a good sign! Since it had been forever since I last bought donuts, I ended up picking up a little variety: a cream cheese croissant, cheese muffin, blueberry muffin, and some donut holes. Now... let's talk about the muffin. First of all, it was HUGE and costed $3.50, hoping it was worth the price. But the moment I picked it up... the top literally fell completely off and beheaded itself! I just stood there looking at it like, "Well... that escalated quickly." Unfortunately, the muffin itself was the biggest disappointment. I'd honestly give it about 2/5 stars. It was very dry, and despite it being a cheese muffin, I couldn't really taste any cheese at all. It just wasn't worth the money for me. The donut holes (I think around $2.50 for about half a bag) were decent, but I've definitely had softer and fluffier ones elsewhere. They satisfied the sweet tooth, but they weren't particularly memorable. On the bright side, service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, the line moved quickly, and I was in and out within minutes. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by and gave this place a try since it was nearby. I probably wouldn't come back specifically for the muffins, but I'd be willing to give some of their breakfast sandwiches or other menu items a shot next time. Happy eats!

(Great prices compared to Starbucks down the street btw). There's a lot of options and I've enjoyed everything I've had here so far. The coffee can be caffeinated or decaf. The creamers are stored to the side with ice packs. There are other drinks in a fridge and snack options to the side of the register. The blueberry donut is really good. I've also enjoyed their custard filled donut which was full of custard. If you order a ham and cheese croissant, they cut it in half and heat it up for you, which is a nice service. The cheese inside is really good. The interior is pretty small, but there's some seats if you want to sit down and have your breakfast. We always get ours to go. On our most recent visit they were having a fundraiser for their friend that perished in the Monterey Park shooting. So glad to have this staple in the neighborhood and to have a small business to support! Highly recommended little breakfast spot :)

Thank you Jonathan for sharing your loving story about your mom and grandmother. I was the only person in line which worked out for me. A few customers arrived shortly after me. All donuts and apple fritters were carefully boxed. I appreciate the special attention and care in the packaging. Thanks! Overall donuts were good, but dough was a bit dense for my taste though. Apple fritters were a great hit! Huge in size. Light in crisp. Tons of apples. Not super sweet which I appreciate it. However, a few of them fell apart when picking them up from the box. I actually don't know how much each donut and apple fritter costs. I didn't ask which was fine. Total bill was about $90+ which wasn't bad at all especially for all the tasty goodness. Highly recommend! Love to return for more tasty apple fritters and cinnamon crumbles.
