I went in yesterday, hoping to find something to help my right foot problems. Mike greeted me and worked on helping me find something he thought would help. It was $326.00 for a pair of inserts. I tried them overnight. Unfortunately I've had extensive injuries to my right leg, ankle and foot from trauma. I brought them back in today and explained to Mike that it just wasn't going to work for me. He said we could try something else, but when I told him I just wanted to return the inserts, he refunded my money. He explained it was against store policy to do the refund, but he did it. Had I known they were non-refundable, I never would have purchased them. You don't want to spend that much money on something that won't work for me. I also understand they wouldn't want to have someone bring them back, 6 months later and declare they want their money back, with the inserts looking like they'd been rode hard and put away wet -- as they say in the horse biz. I just wanted a pair of shoes because I was getting callouses on my feet from the ones I was wearing. I had to listen to a 1/2 hour of so-called analysis of my feet and an offer for their system of inserts for $1500. I declined but bought just shoes for $170. Afterwards, I found I didn't need new shoes - I just needed to adjust the inserts on the shoes I already had, which was pointed out to me by another reputable store. I wanted to return the shoes I bought there but found they would charge me 20% and I could only get store credit. What would I buy in their store since I didn't get their inserts and don't need them? Nothing about this return policy was mentioned when I bought them and I am not in the habit of reading receipts when I buy shoes. I have never bought a pair of shoes in my life that I couldn't return. What a rip-off this place is. Disclaimer: The following reflects my personal experience and opinion and my point of view. When I visited The Good Feet Store, I personally felt the sales approach was overly aggressive. They were extremely friendly at first -- doing measurements and fittings with the insoles -- but then came the prices. I explained my budget right away, but instead of offering something within it, they encouraged me to apply for CareCredit. When CareCredit didn't cover the full amount, they suggested I also apply for something called "Snap" or "Snap It," which allows 100 days to pay. The lowest-priced option they presented to me was $1,500, which would mean about $500 a month for three months. When I asked about lower-cost options, they mentioned a $150 item but told me it "wouldn't work." They also said I couldn't just buy the soles -- which were $575 -- without getting the entire package. I would have purchased the $575 option, but I was told it wasn't available as a standalone solution. They then went on maybe we should do 750 but it would have went up to over 800 with tax and everything, which 800-900 was over my budget. Instead, the focus was on pushing the $1,500 package and advising me to combine both credit plans to make it work. I later learned that with the Snap program, if it's not paid in full on time, the cost can end up being much higher. I left feeling pressured and disappointed. In my opinion, this was not customer service that prioritized my needs or budget. I noticed several other customers go through the same process and then walk out without buying anything. I went to The Good Feet Store in hopes of finding a pair of comfortable shoes. My feet were measured and the customer service was great! I left with a pair of shoes that seemed like they would work for my feet. I had buyer's remorse with how expensive the shoes were and wanted to return them. I hadn't worn the shoes. They were brand new and in the box. I went to return the shoes and they didn't want to accept them back on the next day that I bought them. Apparently on the receipt, their return policy is "no returns." They did not tell me this before I bought the shoes. Instead of simply refunding my money back to my card, they continued to suggest buying all of the insoles which I told them that I didn't have any pain in my feet. I ended up buying insoles and since I couldn't return the shoes and inserts for my money back, I ended up having to swallow the expensive cost of them. Only to find out after wearing them to work every day that NOW I have pain in my feet that I've never had before. My feet are messed up by a pair of expensive shoes they wouldn't give my money back from. I'm never going back to this store again. What kind of retail store doesn't accept brand new items to be returned for their money back? Ridiculous! I've never had pain in my feet and now I have terrible pain. Terrible customer service. They ignored a previous customer who had spent nearly $2,000 two years before on inserts and shoes and wanted to now make a nearly $100 purchase for socks. The manager was three feet away from us. Engaged in small talk as he help a customer and our newly hired salesperson helped us. Well, she told him that he needed to help her. After he was done with the customer he had been helping. He ignored our salesperson's request and immediately jumped to a new customer. I was furious as I had been waiting nearly 10 minutes. I do not recommend The Good Feet store. My daughter went into one of their stores and bought a pair of Brooks shoes. I asked how much she paid and she said they were $169.00, but she got 10% off. With tax she left paying $189.00. (No discount on the receipt) I could see she was not thrilled. She said she would rather have had all white shoes. The shoes never left the box. Two days later I went to return them because they did not have the color she wanted. NOPE!!!! Store credit only or exchange. The sales person tried to tell me the shoes are fitted for her. No one ever touched my daughter's feet. She just bought the shoes. I was also told that people don't return their shoes! are you kidding me. Any reputable "shoe" sore would gladly take back a pair of shoes. So many running stores take back shoes 30 sometimes 60 after purchase. What you try on for 5 minutes may not really work for you after wearing them for a month or so. You need to let your customer know the return policy before they purchase and it's only printed at the bottom of the receipt AFTER purchasing. The worst policy I have ever heard of. I went in because of a broken foot from years ago that now has extensive arthritis. The orthopedic doctor said surgery was my next step. I am pleased to post this review on the GFS Tucson location. Initially, the cost was somewhat of a shock. However, the supports I purchased did what they were supposed to do, before / after work, gym and serious hiking. After digesting the cost, I have been pleased with these supports. I have had the arches from good feet for over two years. about a little more than a month ago i went in to get replacement arches and the rep told me the ones i had were not right and gave me new ones...I have been in nothing but pain since these new arches were exchanged and i ended up paying over 100.00 for two new pairs and then the ridiculous price for the foam inserts and some other toe support thing....it was supposed to be 20.00 for each replacement pair and now they state 30 for leather but my partner went in and they charged her 20.00 for each of her leather replacements. I do not want to go in and have them charge me another 50 dollars when they changed them to the wrong ones in the first place. I tried them for the month as they state you have to give yourself time to get used to them... well pain is enough that I cannot even walk on my right foot and I am walking on the outsides of my feet once again which is what the problem was when I went in two years ago. Update: I then went in to get them checked and was charged another 50.00 after I told the girl they did not feel right in the first place. Then while we were in the store, we watched some black beetles crawling around.. we watched them enter a couple of the shoe boxes on the floor and when we told the rep her response was " yeah well we have been having them around..." Well I went to the store and was hoping to have help with my sciatic. I bought the three pair and the clerk assured me that it would take care of the problem. At no time did she tell me they couldn't be returned for a refund. I would not have bought them had I known. I wore them as directed. After 15 days they were starting to affect my lower back. I was very skeptical due to the price, but the relief I felt immediately was enough for me to take a chance after all other attempts to remedy my foot pain have failed. Yes, they're expensive, but they are committed to the process of finding you the right fitting orthotic. Guess what? You/we have to be committed also. It takes time to adjust to wearing the insert and you'll need to do your part. I just bought mine today and I'm very optimistic that they will work once I'm done with the trial and adjustment period. I am a retail manager. I am always on my feet. I started having plantar fasciitis issues. Nothing was working. So I decided that I would pay the money to invest in my feet and my livelihood. I can't say it was 100% fix. I did still need to do my ball rolling exercises and still do on occasion. However it was definitely something I needed to remedy the situation. It is expensive very expensive. But I need my feet to make a living. The best part is that I can move them to any shoe. I got these sandals for $5 at Payless. My husband and I are 76 & 75, I'm the younger :) We have been very energetic and very happy for near to 42 yrs. Recently we realized we were slowing down to a few more aches and pains than we wanted. Mostly recurring in our knees, hips, back and our feet. We had no idea that ALL these aches and pains were primarily due to our feet. We decided to look into The Good Feet Store, and came across an incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and very gentle, helping and friendly associate, Irene Salas. My husband had gone into the store earlier in the day, and as soon as he came out of the store he called me to tell me that while in the store he experienced NO PAIN whatsoever!!! That was amazing, because it broke my heart to see him suffer while just standing up! He decided to come pick me up and bring me to the store to see and feel comfort for myself. Irene had only one hour left to work and could have asked me to come the next day but instead she stayed for well over an hour, just to help me realize how miraculous the system was for both my husband and I. The system really does make a difference, and Irene was willing to take whatever time needed to help us make the right decision. Cost does not matter when your health and comfort is involved. We plan on living to 120yrs (Genesis 6:3), and with that in mind, this system has a lifetime warranty, so we will be feeling good for a really long time!!! We highly recommend the system. I'm in town on a current assignment as a travel nurse. I previously owned a pair of custom orthotics and absolutely loved them. Before when I worked 12 hr shifts my legs and lower back hurt for about the last 4-5 hrs of each shift. After purchasing insoles the pain went away. I came in to the store today to replace my old psi which I've had for about 4 yrs. I was greeted and seated right away. Maritza the manager helped me with replacing my insoles and was very professional with my selection. She also gave very informative information about my step evaluation. I knew she was right on point not only because I've wore insoles before but also from the pain I was current having with my old pair. They are pricey but the amount of time I spend on my feet and the discomfort that came with it, IS GONE!! What would you pay to be pain free?? I use to buy cheaper ones from Walmart but would have to replace them every couple of months. These have lifetime warranties!! You literally pay $20 to replace them in the further! Bring in your old pair and they will replace when they wear out. You cannot beat that!! I went in a couple years ago. My feet were feeling terrible. Plantar fasciitis (pardon the spelling if I'm wrong). Anyway, I got the inserts (3 sets) and, after the gradual transition period, I have not had any more problems with my feet. One set is used for my slippers, and the other two are used in my dress shoes and my Teva sandals. Occassionally, I have traded a set of inserts for another (whenever I feel I need more or less arch). The GF inserts may cost more than those lousy inserts you get at the local drugstore, but they last forever. I only have one life and one pair of feet. I want both to be comfortable. Thanks Good Feet. Here is something to remember. You might get custom fitted shoes at other stores for less cost. However, you must wear those shoes all the time and occassions to have comfortable feet and that might not practical. With my Good Feet inserts, I can move them from one set of shoes to another. And, when I buy new shoes, I don't have to get them custom fitted. I just put in my inserts from the old shoes. In the long run, this is certainly more cost effective than buying custom fitted shoes every couple of years. read more

I was desperate. My feet were killing me. I thought I had plantar fasciitis again so I was looking for a good arch support. The staff was helpful but when they told me the price of the full system they wanted to sell me I almost fell out of my chair. I did not purchase the full system but still left there with $1500 less in my bank account. Then I found that the higher level of support inserts were very squeaky so I came back and exchanged them for lower quality inserts and some socks, but they still squeak. But I must say that my feet feel better with the support. They have not cured the problem as it turns out I have plantar fibroma, but at least I feel better when I'm wearing them all day at work, walking or hiking, and that is really what's important. SCAM....don't give them your hard earned money. After seeing their commercials I decided to go to the Tucson store. I was greeted by Glenn Reiner the salesman. After he went thru his imprint of my foot, measuring my foot and asking what pain I was experiencing he said he would be back in a few minutes. He came back with my custom arches , pads and tennis shoes that would fix my pain. I mentioned when I tried them on that they were uncomfortable and he said it would take a few days to adjust to. I proceeded to purchase them while he continued to talk about the life time warranty and free adjustments. 733.00 later, I left and was hoping the arches worked. Well I took his suggestion and wore them a few hours a day and on Wednesday, 3 days later I started to have some back pain. By Thursday evening I had significant back pain from my custom arches....On Friday I had to go get a back adjustment. I returned to the store on Monday, 7 days later and was told by the assistant manager Irene Salas that all sales were final and no returns were accepted including the never out of the box tennis shoes. After 3 months I started feeling slight sciatica returning so I went back to the store. My strengthened set of supports was wearing down because I wear my supports all day every day. I was assisted by Mary at the store; she was thoughtful, concise, and put no pressure on me. Her explanations were from experience both in personal use and years of sales. I am following the 'starter' schedule carefully, and can tell the difference in my posture already. My feet are getting used to each of the 3 sets pretty easily. Having read the other reviews, I will certainly agree they are a big $ outlay at purchase time. But, how many pairs of feet, upon which our mobility is dependent, do we get in a lifetime? I'm only counting on this pair. But if you're not 'sure' you need help, and having no refunds, exchange only is a problem, then walk awAy. I do think being active is a plus with these. read more

I have been limping from pain on and off for over 3 months. My fiancee finally had enough and said we were going to check out one of those Dr. Scholl's kiosks. The kiosk just happened to be next to this Good Feet store, so we decided to stop in first just to find out what it was about. We are grateful we did. Bottom line: I wouldn't recommend this as a solution to your orthotic or foot pain problems. These orthotics are expensive ($250-300 per pair, "recommended" and sold in sets of three), and while they may work for some people, they aren't for active people or those who spend a great deal of their time on their feet. They are not really custom, just selected from a range of sizes. Customer service after the sale was poor at best. BEWARE: Good Feet has a poorly disclosed "No Refunds" policy. The first you may know of it may actually be if you happen to actually look at your receipt. Technically it is supposed to be clearly posted, but it wasn't in this store. Expect a fight if you want your money back the next day, and even if you win there are going to be restocking fees and such. The following is so you know what to expect if you go in, and can maybe avoid a mistake: The entire sales process is focused on getting you hooked, before they tell you the price. It's very slick. The salesperson starts by taking an impression of your feet with a inkpad, which they quickly hold up and declare "yes you have..." whatever problem with one or more of "the four arches" that are "critical" to good posture and pain free living. Then they guess your size and go into the back room, where they select from bins of sized orthotics and bring them out to you to try on. They'll change them until you tell them it is comfortable. They will show you three orthotic types, conveniently brought out in a three-compartment box to make you think of them as a set: The Exerciser, The Maintainer, and The Relaxer. They have a schedule of wearing that supposedly "trains" your feet to better health, and they claim that you will eventually be wearing the Exerciser all the time. They'll have to walk around a bit...inside the store, and they'll "prove" that your balance is improved with an old carnival trick: They'll have you hold your hands in front of you and push down on them. Of course the first time you won't know what is coming and you will tip forward. Then they put the new orthotics in your shoes, and repeat the test. But this time you know what is coming, so you unconsciously respond to keep your balance. You won't tip, which they attribute solely to the orthotics in your shoes. Cheesy, but they do it so smoothly that you don't even think about it. The thing is, if you have foot pain or fatigue whatever the reason, putting nearly any reasonably fitting orthotic in your shoes will feel better, at least for a while. After you have had a chance to walk a few steps and feel "better" and think that they might work, the bomb drops: Each orthotic is around $300, and they'll try to get you to buy them in a set of three...but no discount for the set. They'll even do a payment plan for you! What a great bunch of folks, eh? (I should note that I've seen a lot of variation in how much they charge, in online postings. But the prices never seem to be less than $250, and average around $300 per pair.) I never really felt like the staff were anything but salespeople, and I got a distinctly "used car lot" odor from our interactions. I ignored it at the time, to my regret. My own experience is that I fell for their pitch and purchased two Exercisers and one Maintainer for over $900. I quickly discovered that their schedule of wear was impossible for anyone who has a life. After a few weeks I exchanged one (unworn) pair of Exercisers for another pair of Maintainers...and that transaction was as grudgingly and ineptly handled as any I've experienced, even with the manager doing it. After trying to wear them for over 4 months, I found that they actually aggravated my plantar fasciitis. None of the orthotics ever became comfortable, and daily wear of the Maintainers actually made my feet hurt more than the Dr. Scholl's I wore before. Your mileage may vary, but for me these orthotics turned out to be a useless waste of money. If you need orthotics, see a podiatrist and have actual custom fit orthotics made for you. read more

I paid $1600 for a set of three stage orthotics. If I wear one out they will replace it for $30. That means the orthotic support can yield a profit at $30. But, if I want extra orthotics to put in extra pairs of shoes they want to charge $440 each. Help me understand. I do understand that they need to make a profit from their technology which is represented in the ridiculous charge of $440. Ok I paid that but they are literally telling me that if I want to avoid the hassle of moving the orthotic from one pair of shoes to another, I need to spend $440 each for an item that they clearly acknowledge is profitable at $30. think about it. I do think the product is helping me, but for $440 I can move my orthotic many times. read more

Be very careful when visiting this store. I made a purchase 3 years ago in good faith believing the life time warranty. The arch supports do work but they lie regarding the warranty at least they did today with me. I went back to have them replaced but was charged a $20 restocking fee that has never been mention before. Now you can go to Allan's shoes or even Walmart and get fitted for around $40. Total rip off! I felt like I was at a used car sales lot. When I called to make an appointment they told me the price for inserts was anywhere from $150 to $400. After I listened to the sales pitch at the store for about 30 minutes, they tried to sell me on a whole "series" of inserts for almost $2,000. I ended up buying one pair (huge mistake on my part) for about $450. They led me to believe that the cover insole was included in the price. When I went to check out, they charged me $25 for the cheap foam cover insole and then had the nerve to charge me $20 extra for the little plastic tab under the toe! Then of course they won't refund at all. The inserts are very poorly engineered, they are slick plastic and are only half the size of your shoe. Of course that makes them constantly slide toward the front of the shoe. I've never paid so much for anything so useless. Should have read the Yelp reviews before I went. The clerk stated the store did not carry them, only the foot supports on a display. She looked us up and down and announced, "and they start at $300." My wife was having walking problems. Unsteady, with pain in leg ankles and feet. The diagnosis was, the cause was arthritis. I was willing to try anything to help her. Went to good feet store. Went through the full sales pitch for both of us. Then the price. $900 plus $25 for thin foam insert covers. I immediately refused to buy for me. I decided, even at the exorbitant price, I would buy for my wife. The $900 included 3 supports, severe, moderate, and light. We were provided with logic for the use of each and a plan to use each. In real life, my wife tried the plan and ended up using the moderate one. Then since she never used the light one, she traded it for another moderate one. She is not using the severe one.
