Was traveling into Spokane for a business conference. The Davenport brand is really growing it's incredible. Check out their cocktails they have a lot of huckleberry going on and I'm loving it!

I was in town and found this nice place. It's a great place to hang out and relax. There is plenty of room to sit down and they have plenty of umbrellas for shade, it's only on the 2nd floor but the view are pretty good and the drinks are pretty good. It would be nice if they had a waitress or waiter walking around and taking drink orders, you have to get in line at the bar to get a drink. It also would be nice if they had music because it was very quite. Parking was ok

It would be awesome if this terrace bar were about 10 stories higher up in the sky, but even the 2nd floor elevation makes it feel high-class and exciting. A little bit of Vegas in Spokane. Imagine, a sprawling patio with fire pits and loungey outdoor couches. There's no waiter service, so you can relax without any pressure to drink (though really, you probably came here to drink). You order from the little cubby bar, your drinks are made on the spot, you pay, then find a place to lounge. The wine list is pretty basic: Chard, Reisling, Merlot, Pinot, and some blends. The cocktails are more enticing, though not super well executed. We ordered two of the same cocktails, and when one poured out really short, the bartender just filled the rest of the glass up with seltzer to fill the void. Ummm, I paid for booze, not soda! Haphazard drink-making aside, the vibe here is so lovely. The views, the music, the relaxed vacation vibe. It's a classy addition to downtown Spokane, and I'll be enjoying it anytime the skies are clear.

What a great place to have a drink... But what's up with the loud prom dance music? Please guys, get an adult to pick your music.

Every contact I've had with Grain Shed employees has been more than pleasant; they truly seem to enjoy working there, and take good care of their customers. I need to shout out to Toby and Audrey before I go on. They each provided 110% on customer service, being personable and making sure we left happy. On 2 separate trips to Spokane, I've visited the Grain Shed 3 and 4 times over the course of 3 days (yes, if you do the math, I went twice in 1 day, and the restaurant was NOT just around the corner!) Everything I've tried is delish, but in case you have to limit yourself, I highly recommend the OG, the beets and feta toast, the bread flight with sauces and cheese, the molasses ginger cookie, and maybe a chocolate croissant. I've heard their bread pudding and pumpkin pie (holiday special) are out of this world! I tried to get over to listen to their live music before leaving town, but still need to squeeze that into my schedule. Travelers: save space in your luggage for a loaf of bread. Sadly, no shipping at this time, but I'm waiting for it! This SoCal resident is officially The Grain Shed's #1 fan. I dare any of you to try to take away my title!

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.

The whole atmosphere is dark, cozy, moody, and feels more like a hidden lounge than a typical downtown bar. Between the lighting, music, books, and dramatic cocktail menus, the vibe alone makes the place worth visiting. We tried the espresso martini, Painkiller, and Bloody Verde. The espresso martini was smooth and easy to drink without being overly sweet, and the Painkiller had that creamy tropical flavor that somehow still worked with the darker speakeasy atmosphere. Keeping it honest though, the Bloody Verde just wasn't for me personally. I can still appreciate the creativity behind it, but the flavor combo just didn't match my taste buds. That being said, if you like savory spicy cocktails, you'd probably feel very differently about it. Service was friendly, drinks came out looking great, and the music really tied the whole experience together. Definitely feels like one of Spokane's more unique cocktail spots if you want something moodier and more relaxed.
