The most fun is the wine 'vending' machine for lack of a better term. You obtain a scan card with your credit card and then scan it and select your wine. You determine the amount you want for each wine and the price is displayed for each. Select your wine and it dispenses it. Great way to create your own wine flight! Beautiful setting and an amazing team! We were there for song bingo- Singo. So much fun. Try the pepperoni flatbread with hot honey - delicious! Strange thing happened on the adventure to seek out some popular and sold out beer…read more I called 1616 Wine Cellar at 2:00 p.m. August 27th and ask the woman that answered my call whether she has a stout beer made by Icicle called Dark Persuasion. I had told her the manufacturer in Leavenworth, Washington was able to tell me that they supply to only two places in Spokane and 1616 is one of them. She looked in her computer and returned to the phone and stated they don't have any. That they've been sold out for at least a couple weeks and we're waiting for another shipment. Then she says she has a different flavor though. And I'm assuming we were still speaking about the manufacturer "Icicle" who creates several types of beer with such integrity and smoothness. She said it's a s'mores flavor and she likes it. It's her "go-to when dark persuasion wasn't available" she says. She got my interest and I replied that I should probably come by and try that, assuming we are still speaking about a product made by the manufacturer icicle. Then she says "Oh wait a minute, I was wrong. We actually have a case of Icicles Dark Persuasion". So that relieved me that they weren't just a tavern or lounge where they sell only a single bottle or a can of beer or just single glasses of wine. I'm thinking perhaps this is more of a wine and liquor store. So I said yes please, put my name on that case I'll come by and pick it up . She says she will have "the fellow working with her" put my name on it . Then there was a gap in the conversation since I was curious if she was even going to ask me my name. She didn't so I offered it . She says again "okay I'll have the fellow working with me put your name on it then" . I'm getting ready to get in the car to make that drive during rush hour and I called them back to make sure she actually was able to put eyes on this case of beer she said she had actually found on her computer. It rang until the answering machine requested I leave a message. I got in the car and started driving anyway and called them 15 minutes later and it did the same thing . I figured I'll have the s'mores as she recommended since we were talking about icicle beer and how much we both enjoyed the dark persuasion . I fight traffic for approximately 5 MI getting to their location during rush hour and I walk into their establishment and it is a sit-down and enjoy your drink type establishment. Red flag, was she really on the same page as myself regarding picking up a case of beer? I asked the fellow working behind the counter if he could bring the case of a dark persuasion by icicle and that his coworker had put my name on it. He returned from the back with a six pack that had two beer already taken out of it. He had four beer for me. I stated that she said she had a 12 pack and my name is going on it. He walked past me to a cooler and was able to pick out eight singles in their cooler. Two additional red since she broke down the case, do they not sell cases? And if she broke it down and put eight in the cooler did she really disregard as fast as the conversation I just had with her happened to put my name on it?

Most recently, on a Friday evening around 7 PM, my party was seated near the end of the bar by the restroom area. A server approached me in a confrontational manner and told me to move my chair because it was blocking the walkway. I immediately complied and moved it where he directed. Despite that, he repeatedly pushed and squeezed past the chair in an aggressive way several times afterward and then returned to confront me about it again. The interaction felt hostile, unnecessary, and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident. On a previous visit, a female server was rude and controlling toward our table, and on another occasion when we were unhappy with a menu item, the response was essentially, "You ordered it, you pay for it," with no attempt to address the concern professionally. The atmosphere is great, which is why we've continued to come back. However, after several visits involving rude and confrontational interactions with staff, it feels more like an ongoing culture issue than a one-time bad experience. I don't expect special treatment, but I do expect basic courtesy and respect. Hopefully management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve the customer experience.

Her warmth was genuine, her recommendations were spot-on, and she had an incredible ability to anticipate what we needed before we even asked. Lily checked in at just the right moments -- never intrusive, never absent. She remembered details from earlier in the conversation, kept the energy upbeat, and handled a small mix-up with our order with total grace and a smile. That kind of poise is rare. If you're lucky enough to be seated in Lily's section, you're in for a treat. She's the kind of server who turns a good meal into a genuinely memorable experience. We'll absolutely be back, and we'll be asking for her by name!

We had a group of eight and there was a lot of "not ready yet" which the staff handled with ease. Food came out quickly but mostly all at the same time. We had a few items that came out later but it was reasonable and expected. Ambiance is very nice, simple but elegant. You would feel comfortable coming in dressed up or casual. Let's get to the nitty gritty, the food quality was very good, taste was a knock out. The pasta and sauce was good enough that I was looking for specific tastes so I could recreate it, that's what I hope for in a restaurant! And there was fresh bread, oh how I could wax poetic about fresh bread and so few restaurants are on this very simple add. Dessert - I'm always hypercritical of crème brûle because like bread it's pretty simple ingredients but takes some care, Muzuna's nailed it. All in all you should stop in for dinner and you won't be disappointed!

I chose a gin and citrus drink that was a wonderful blend of bitter and refreshing. I made myself sip it slowly, but it was tasty enough that I could have thrown it back. The bar tender was friendly and attentive, as well as knowledgeable. The room seemed to be recovering from the recent Hoopfest...there were coolers and some things in the back of the space. There were also a LOT of bottles on the counter behind the bar. I don't know if it is always like this, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely go back for the drink and to show it off to friends.
