Came here for rope climbing on an evening. Quite limited amount of lead routes: approx. 12ish. The rest were top ropes. Ropes don't seem popular choice in this gym. It seems most ppl were bouldering and mostly with teens, and perhaps college students. Since I didn't boulder, I cannot speak much about it... Just that the bouldering features seem decent with arch, overhang, slab features, and board training. I am basing my experience on the rope. There were some high quality route setting in there, say 3/10, the rest seemed staircase: left, right, left, right. It would be good if they could improve in the route setting and making it much more challenging like using heelhooks, toehooks, etc. Even in the overhang part, majority looked like left right routines. I'd say my experience was alright. Not the best, not the worst. I also noticed one of the fan was not working so it might have been a bit of a steamy workout in there...

My son has been coming to this rock climbing gym for 8 months now- he said it's better than where he used to go (Island Rock) because they have more variety of techniques in different routes (bouldering). He spent all summer climbing, became belay certified, still comes every single weekend and was also a judge for a competition a few weeks ago (best experience he's ever had). I even took my daughter & her friend here (first timers) and to my surprise, they enjoyed it. The GV only offer memberships (monthly, quarterly or annual) or day passes- wish they offered 1 or 2 hour options too for the younger kids. Imo, the prices are quite expensive and altho this Westbury location is larger than most climbing gyms in the area, it isn't well-kept. The mats and lounging area are very dirty with chalk everywhere as well as the bathroom & fitness equipments. There are no disinfectant wipes nor sanitizer dispensers either. But overall, it can be a fun time for all ages as I witnessed and definitely an excellent workout!

First you make a reservation online and then just come on in at the time you reserved for you can book for 1 hr or one hour and a half I believe. Make sure you have socks I do not believe that they provide you with any and that is pretty much it. There is a parking lot located in the back now there are quite a few businesses so parking may not be so easy however you will find something. Upon walking in we got our temperature checked and she was able to put her shoes in the cubby directly across from check in and get started. There is a small place for kids to be able to sit and eat/ drink if necessary they also do sell drinks and chips at $1 each. The area to play is a decent size not to very big however there's a few different things that they can do. The rock climbing is not really for big kids but a smaller child would have a blast on it. They did have another room that we didn't go into but I think that is where they have classes. The place did seem clean overall and the bathroom was also clean with a changing table. I was able to have a great conversation with the young lady in front and she was kind, informative and so happy to have people around the community coming to support the business in these times.

The indoor playground, complete with zip line and 3 slides is something I have not seen before in these indoor playground places. They have a section where they have tables for the little ones to sit, and I'm guessing that's where they have birthday parties as well. Mindnasium is a local gem for parents! So glad they have open play for the kiddos. Will definitely be bringing him again.

Great time here at the Rock Club…read more Purchased a Groupon and decided to visit on a Friday morning. Called ahead and the front desk staff were very quick in getting back to me to confirm that a belayer was available at that time. They also confirmed the Groupon over the phone. I went ahead and completed the required waiver forms online prior to our visit. Adequate parking was available at that time. The Rock Club (downstairs) shares its space with a with a tennis club, so make sure you follow the ramp down toward the Rock Club entrance and NOT the stairs whih leads to the tennis club. We arrived at around 10am and it was fairly empty. The Rock Club staff explained the process and set us up with climbing shoes. We were then introduced to our belayer who was awesome. Over the next hour, we tried climbs ranging in difficulty. The wall heights range from about 35-40 feet and the peg placement and wall angles vary throughout the climbs, making some more difficult than others. We even had some time to try some bouldering. Our belayer was great at explaining techniques and technical terms. She was very patient and very encouraging...though not "pushy" at all. After we finished, the staff was nice enough to show us around to see what else was available at the facility: childrens area, common areas, training rooms and weight rooms. May go without saying...wear comfy clothes. As a regular gym-goer, but someone who has NOT climbed before, this was a welcomed challenge. Certain muscles, particularly the forearms and core, may not be part of the typical gym regimen...but are very important in climbing...that being said, I was definitely feeling it the next day. Overall we had a great experience at the Rock Club. We will deinifitely look into other classes. Kudos to all the staff members there.

But policies set by management or corporate at this facility basically guarantee this location is on same trajectory as the Dodo bird. Other than the above, terrible quality for a Life Time facility and significantly worse than any other Life Time in NYC and Westchester area. The bumper plates on the second floor look more or less like a dog chewed on them. If you are here to lift weights, just know that the equipment is worse than LA fitness, NYSC, etc. Again, other Life Times have been renovated 1-2x over the past 3 years, if they aren't brand new. This is literally the only one that is like this. The only renovation they did was to remove a basketball coirt to replace with Pickle ball. The squat racks are literally a danger to use if you squat on the second floor if you hit parallel or lower unless you go to the 3rd floor (which typically has classes running) And now that they replaced one basketball court with Pickleball courts, you basically cannot use the basketball court. Unavailable 60-70% of the time to use. Attaching a picture for the reader to judge for themselves. Camp is over? Birthday party. No birthday party? Then its a league game (this one was not as bothersome before as they had the second court and it was not typically the entire day). I understand the need to increase revenue but at this point, this location is milking their members for quality that is worsening with each passing day. The reason this gym also went downhill is because of the influx of those who were going to Syosset and changed because the quality was also going down. I would venture to say Syosset is now the better location. If you have time, checkout Life Time Harrison or Life Time Dumbo. Drastic difference in quality. I hope corporate management changes their tune but its more likely that this facility will continue to increase prices and let the place deteriorate until they close down. Its really a shame. We were allowed into the room 15 minutes before the party started to set up our decorations, including tablecloths and balloons, which made the space look great. The staff member was very nice, and we had two people assigned to help us throughout the event. The kids started with 30 minutes of supervised jumping and had a blast! Afterward, we headed to laser tag; the TVs weren't working, so we couldn't see the scores, but the kids still had a lot of fun. Then, we went to the party room for pizza. The two staff members seemed to be struggling a bit, so I offered to help out, but my guests still had a wonderful experience and no one complained. A tip was already included in the package, but we gave the staff a little extra on the side for their hard work. Once the party ended, the kids were able to stay and play in the arcade for a while. Choosing the 7:00 PM time slot was perfect because the place wasn't crowded, we practically had the whole facility to ourselves! I would definitely recommend this place for parties, especially for older kids.

The facility is very large and the entrance is easy to find where to park due to a lot of signs saying where to go. The staff was super helpful by the trampoline and zip line, but no one kept the toddler area clean and everything was in the wrong room. We were there for 90 min play and not once did a staff member come in and reorganize. My daughter wanted to play in the vet area and there were no toys at all. Probably were strewn about in other rooms. They have a similar area in once upon a tree top, where she often goes and hasn't had this issue due to staff upkeeping it. There was the soft play area, a soft play maze thing that was really cool that she spent most of her time in exploring. There was a big kid zip line obstacle course and a little one. My daughter was a little bit too afraid of the little one. I think she didn't understand the concept with the vests and staying on a track with a rope. They also have laser tag, an arcade, a dodgeball bouncy court, a trampoline, and laser tag. Super fun and we will be back. Hopefully will be less expensive without the need to purchase socks.
