We ate here for our elopement dinner for 16 people and had the most amazing experience. The food was beautiful, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The menu even had a delicious non-alcoholic watermelon drink which was really special since my family doesn't drink. If you're eating here, leave room for dessert and get the orange olive oil cake!!! It's not too sweet and perfectly moist. The staff went above and beyond to make our party feel taken care of; I don't think I've ever had service like this anywhere else! this is an odd place to be sure, when we first arrived we thought we were in the wrong location because the entrance of this restaurant sort of looks like a deli or takeout place. the back of the restaurant is much nicer with a very cool looking bar. but this place is definitely more casual than their website leads you to believe. I'm not sure what vibe they are going for but the EDM music blasting definitely sends mixed signals. we had an early dinner reservation but it wasn't necessary because the place was empty except for one other couple. service was very friendly and the drinks were good, but the food was not. we ordered a number of dishes and they were all underwhelming. most of the dishes were overly greasy and featured too much cheese. i also noticed that the vegetables were poor quality which was pretty unappetizing. read more

There were about four spreads in one order that came with fresh hot pita bread. We chose the 18 one, which was more than enough for our party of three! I would definitely get this again as all the spreads were delicious and left me wanting more. For my entree, I got the branzino which was topped with sautéed spinach and some carrots. The dish also came with half a lemon, which provided a great citrus-y addition to the fish. The branzino was very expertly cooked and had enough flavor on its own without needing any additional sauce. Given all the above, I would definitely come back again to try the other options! (Late review - ate here in July) I have been meaning to write a review of this place. My sister flew in for a visit and by the time I got to her hotel, it was about 8PM. I found this place on Yelp (ofc), and the reviews with their accompanied photos made us want to try. We arrived, and Yelp had advertised that they were still open for at least another hour. We walked in, and there were only a handful of people in the place. By the staff, we were met with... I dunno, judgement/skepticism/confusion as to why we were walking in. We were both wearing gym clothes and probably looked like wet dogs, because it was raining on our walk to the place. Nonetheless, they definitely gave off the vibe that they didn't want to serve us. We told them that we wanted to order food to-go, and they proceeded to sit us at the bar and put plates/silverware in front of us as if we were dining in. We explained again that we just wanted a drink while we wait for our food. The bartender seemed irritated by this, like how could we have inconvenienced her so? We ordered quite a bit of food to-go, which was well over $100 plus we ordered drinks while waiting for the food. I would say that between the drinks, food, and tip our tab was close to if not above $200. The food was absolutely excellent, but the crummy attitudes we were met with was a total turn off. If you care more about the food than how the staff treats and/or perceives you, this may be the place for you. read more

Awesome dinner spot. Everything is either organic or imported from Greece and their lamb is grass fed so the food just goes down really easy. Everything is very fresh and the vibe is great. I strongly recommend the greek spreads. The mousaka is excellent and the lamb chops and octopus are very good (although I do think they could cook the meat a little better). Gotta say we experienced the best Greek cuisine that we can remember last night at The Greek Tribeca. It was if our yiayia was in the kitchen turning out her specialties. The starters included a sublime salad of organic greens and a pikilia of ultra homemade spreads. Then came a lavraki imported from Greece - the best ever - elevated to strato heights by a 'natural' Greek white wine that exceeded expectations. A blissful baklava ended our repas. This place was authentic and delicious food! A great treat. Let's dive in ... Dolmades (5/5): These are clearly homemade. The leaf is soft and easy to tear apart with my teeth. The rice filling was bursting with flavor. Plus the portion is rather generous. Spanakopita Classic (5/5): This flakey app was everything you would expect from this dish. There was an overabundance of spinach perfectly balanced with feta. Highly recommend. Lemon Potatoes (3/5): It was some baked potato wedges when I wanted a crispy french-fry-like potato wedge. The lemon seasoning was light and this honestly would have been a 4 or 5 out of 5 if the potato chunks were cut in half lengthwise once more to get 8 instead of 4 pieces and kept in the oven a bit longer. Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich (4/5): The chicken was well cooked - a tad dry, the cucumber, tomato and arugula were a nice touch, and there was a lacking in spicy feta which was disappointing. Loved the pita! All-in-all still yummy. Haloumi Sandwich (5/5): Whoa this was fire. The inside of the pita was grilled which added a nice char. The pesto sauce was mouth meltingly good. The haloumi was perfectly grilled too and has such a meaty flavor with the eggplant that you forget it's vegetarian. It was dripping oil towards the bottom but that was the worst of it. So happy I went with this. Side of Tzatziki (5/5): Just order a side of this and thank me later. It really goes on anything -- pita wrap or otherwise. The cucumber pieces are long and stringy and the yogurt flavor is creamy and tangy! TL;DR: Open during quarantine so heck yeah. Would order here again in a heartbeat. A surprise! It's felt a little bit chainish when I walked in but I was pleasantly surprised. We actually came to The Greek Tribeca after another restaurant where we have a reservation actually had some maintenance issue. This was within walking distance and we went for it. First off, the space is HUGE. It is a very large and very roomy and very nice space. It is ideal for a meeting or a quiet time with friends. We went during brunch time and the service was just right. The service staff were amazing. The fifth star is for them. The food was actually very good. I have been trying to eat a lot more whole. I know. Laughable. Me eating healthier! But! It wasn't hard here. I had a soup and pita and the egg scramble bowl. The eggs were actually amazing. With a feta crumble, avocado and tomato. It was very filling and I knew I was getting my macros! Came across this place while in Tribeca. Very cozy setup with great ambiance and music. The outside area would be really nice in the summer. Was here for Sunday brunch. The restaurant is vegetarian with some pescatarian options. We got the byond chicken souvlaki which was a fairly generous portion. The food is fresh and very tasty. A romantic atmosphere with its dim lights and rustic feel. It's a long and narrow restaurant. We ordered lots of food. We started off with cold appetizers which were a mix of baba ganoush, feta cheese mixed with a labneh sauce and garlic paste. Of course it came with bread. These were not nassef just not my favorite as they seemed to have an after taste. We also had Greek salad weighing was delicious and fresh. The was lots of olive oil but with the cheese and tomatoes in the salad was fine. The meatballs were good, nothing special but a good appetizer to order as opposed to the grilled squid which was really over cooked and not fresh at all. The spinach pie was different than most places because it was actually made in a pie crust instead of with filo sheets; a unique take but an unfavorable one. The lemon potatoes were delicious. They were thick and you could really taste the lemon flavor. We were also served spinach rice which was strange because it was gooey slimy and thick. I really couldn't even taste the rice. The mains were good with the steak being cooked well and the lamb chops bursting with flavor. The best though was dessert. There was cheesecake, sweet baklava with nuts and chocolate on the platter. I think they call it the Greek, because they have a few Greek dishes added to their menu. But as far as authenticity and taste, it's far from Greek. The tzatziki sauce is pure dill taste (didn't expect that) and they had a Gyro on the menu, which was of Mushrooms (not lamb). The chicken Slovaki chicken chunks were seasoned with cayenne pepper, and the rice was turmeric rice. It's was aight. Nothing to brag about. That's a New spin on Greek food. I've had The Greek bookmarked on Yelp since it was newly opened and pumped I finally made my way here! A few things first: this spot is NOT $$, but rather $$$. It ain't cheap and since they don't offer up prices on their online menu, you don't really realize that it ain't so cheap. Second, they are Michelin recommended and boy, do they let you know (it's pretty much everywhere). Ok, place is perfectly designed. So warm with dim lighting,leather seats, dark wood and rustic fixtures; very zen. The service was amicable and on point, and the food... swoon! If you love Greek food, definitely pay a visit. We arrived for a 6pm dinner, by 7 the place was full. Lets start with apps that are made perfect for sharing: The dips - Four ramekins of deliciousness. Expensive, but all worth it for that caviar dip. Holy shit, it was banging. The pites - eh. My least favorite of the evening. Spinach and cheese "pies" wrapped in filo dough. The spinach was good, the cheese one was pass worthy. I wouldn't recommend. The octopus - Really good, again pricy! But cooked beautifully and seasoned to perfection. Shrimp - Most delicious tomato sauce ever. The shrimp were large and succulent and very easy to share. The meat grill for 2 - YES! D'uh! So much meat, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Lamb chops were meaty, the pork sausage was unique, the chicken juicy, the meat patties, a whole bunch of yes. Easily could feed 3-4 if you fill up on apps. The man's fish was delectable, although again not a cheap endeavor. Get the feta and cream cheese cheesecake. It sounds funky (at least to me), but oh, so good. The borekia (?), a mousse in a filo dough was solid. I preferred the chocolate one (always) over the vanilla, but at the end the cheesecake won out for best dessert. Service was wonderful - not perfect - a missing drink here and desserts came out about 5-10 minutes apart, but all good, I don't pay heed to that. Overall, you're looking at about $70-90 per person with tip with entrees, apps, dessert and a drink or two! I would come back in a heartbeat and I don't say that often in NYC. read more
