Great modern Turkish lunch spot! Stumbled here on a Friday afternoon and it was not busy. The service was absolutely excellent being very attentive. They offer a few tables outdoor (open wall restaurant) which was amazing on a warm spring day. Food was wonderful, standout being their house made Turkish sausage. The only thing worth mentioning is portions are on the smaller size. Interior is adorable, clean!

Neden geleneksek Türk kahvaltı New York'ta bulunmaz ben bilmiyorum, ama yeni nesil Türk kahvaltı West Village'in Foursome adlı Akdeniz restoranda mevcut olduğunda çok mutluydum. The best items in the kahvaltı were the bal-kaymak, pişi and ezme. The çay was also quite good. The menemen lacked some depth of flavor, and most of the other jams and spreads were nothing noteable, with the puny portions you would expect to find in this neighborhood. I would normally expect to have sigara böreği rather than su böreği in this type of platter, but the dish itself was not bad.

If you love Mediterranean food, warm service and a cool, artistic vibe, then Foursome is the place for you. This recently opened gem was formed by four partners who wanted to create a space for people to meet, interact, enjoy warm hospitality with delicious and comforting food including a delicious köfte and fried hummus! Add in a terrific cocktail menu and you have a recipe for a great time. I enjoyed a cocktail called My Golden Era that included rye, hibiscus syrup, aperol, amaro luciano, lemon juice and absinthe bitters. Topped off with gold leaf, it was outstanding. The place is jumping at dinner but I need to come back for brunch which seems like it would be fun. The decor is so inviting and you just feel at home when you walk in. Definitely worth a trip downtown for this amazing new spot.

Had a nice time here for a birthday brunch! Our friends loved trying everything in the sampler (Aegean Dream). The shaksouka and Simit were also great! Fun place to bring friends and try a lot of unique items.

Foursome is such a fantastic new addition to John Street! The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm and welcoming host who makes you feel right at home. The vibe is stylish but cozy - perfect for a casual brunch or a laid-back dinner with friends. I first visited during their soft opening and was instantly hooked by the amazing flavors. The meatball bites and hummus were absolutely delicious - so much so that I came back again and ordered the full dish, now on the menu as Turkish Teenagers. It's served in a homemade tomato sauce with slices of fresh sourdough bread, hand cut fries, and every bite is packed with flavor. We finished the meal with their Nutella banana bread - warm, gooey, and the perfect sweet ending. They also offer a super unique Turkish breakfast/brunch menu, which I can't wait to come back and try. Oh - and don't miss the cocktail list! It's surprisingly extensive and full of creative options. The owners are incredibly kind and clearly put so much love into this place. Definitely a spot to watch - I'm excited to add it to my regular rotation!

An $82 breakfast included one egg for two people, four slices of sausage, a few small spreads, bread, and strong Turkish tea. The photos on Google look far more generous - in reality, everything was exactly half the amount shown. My partner gave me the yolk and ended up without an egg at all, despite paying $41 per person. Thankfully, there was enough bread, so at least we filled up on that. Meanwhile, a regular shakshuka with two eggs costs $17 on the menu. So I find it quite strange to call this a "special offer," where two people are expected to share one egg for $82.

He enjoyed his first sample of Turkish food and we enjoyed the hospitality and the experience. Service was friendly throughout and the food was very authentic. We started with some mezzes and I loved the Babaganoush but I wasn't crazy about the Tabbouleh. The Sigara Böreği was delicious and I highly recommend those. My nephew had chicken saute for his entree and he enjoyed it. The portion size was very large. My husband and I split a beyti kebab, which was very good. Between the two of us, we ate the entire thing! We were too full for any dessert or tea but we will definitely come back.

From start to finish everything missed the mark: The hummus was bland and tasted like someone forgot the spices. The doma (dolmas) were disappointing and didn't have the rich flavor they should. Even the baklava, which should be a sweet highlight, was dry, lackluster, and honestly not enjoyable. The Turkish coffee was so bitter it was almost undrinkable -- if you like bitter coffee, maybe it's your thing, but it wasn't what I expected. They market themselves as Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisine, but what I ate didn't come close to what I'd consider good food in that category. My stomach was still growling afterward -- and not in a "I want more" way, but in a "why did I eat this?" way. The staff and service were fine and the atmosphere is pretty, but at the end of the day it's just not worth it when the food itself is so underwhelming. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for authentic or tasty Turkish/Middle Eastern food.

It was a little hard to hear and converse at times as it gets crowded, but the food was delicious and there are really unique items on the menu. Food: The duck shawarma was one of our favorites! The lamb and scallops were also flavorful and tender. The dips were delicious with the pita, but I wish the serving size for the dips were bigger. The fries were great - well seasoned! Also recommend the milky pudding, it was a nice refreshing way to end the dinner. Service: Our server was super helpful in letting us know what items are more shareable and his suggestions for cocktails. Definitely try some of the arak based cocktails. We were lead upstairs to a table. There were 7 of us The seating was cozy but not cramped. We started with 7 family style small dishes: Hummus with Falafel Pops (chickpea purée, tahini, falafel, olive oil), Spring Burrata (roasted cherry tomatoes, toast, basil oil), Hamachi Crudo (passionfruit vinaigrette, citrus zest, cucumber, mint, sesame tuile), Scallops (carrot puree, serrano pepper, brown butter sauce), Tenderloin Skewer (zaatar chimichurri, fresh herb salad), and Shiitake Stuffed Grape Leaves (tomato coulis, yogurt foam, herbs). Everything was delicious. The hummus was well seasoned the falafel had a nice crunch. It went well with the warm puffy gyro bread that came to the table. The burrata was wasm and creamy. I love the vinaigrette on the fish. I ended up eating most of it. The scallops were the sweetest, most tender ones I have ever had. The tenderloin skewers were tender and well seasoned. I liked the grape leaves but the rice consistency was very soft almost mushy and you can barely tell there were mushrooms. There was barely any mushrooms flavor. Next we all chose an entree. I got the duck breast, my husband and daughter each had the beef tenderloin. The duck breast was smaller than i expected. The skin was nicely seared and very crispy but boy did it give my jaw a workout. It was done medium rare. It was juicy but tough. The small beef tenderloin was tender and smoky. The waiter poured the sauce over the tenderloin for added flavor. Finally dessert was a fruit plate with ice cream and pudding. The fruit was fresh and the flavors of the ice cream and pudding unique. It was a nice end to a good brunch. The price was a little expensive at $85 a person.

The chicken Adana sandwich was also quite nice. The chicken was fresh and well seasoned in a good portion with some lettuce, onions, tomatoes as well. The bread was great. It's served with two wonderful, flavorful sauces: hot sauce and yogurt sauce (I much prefer the latter). Portion is incredible for the price. Then, I was initially interested in trying the fig pudding for dessert but they were out of it, so I went with the rice pudding. Again, a huge portion that is well worth the price. So creamy, so good. And, they brought out 2 Turkish teas for free to make up for not having the fig! The people are just very nice here, and the tea was also lovely, piping hot and just perfect. It's a pretty small restaurant but doesn't get crowded early on. They were playing some Turkish music while I ate, and I really enjoyed it.
