Since Grano D'oro is closed on Sunday, which I regard as a pretty darn good Mexican joint, I decided to give the Green Enchilada a try. I wanted something relatively healthy so I was excited to see that this place uses only organic ingredients. I ordered the half chicken with beans, rice, and vegetables. While I wouldn't call the meal flavorful by any stretch of the imagination, the chicken was well roasted and the ingredients were obviously fresh and not loaded with preservatives. My husband ordered the carne asada burrito and the steak was actually pretty well seasoned. That was our first trip to the Green Enchilada...our second trip however, was not as good. I ordered the green enchilada plate thinking it must be good as the place was named after what I assumed was their signature dish. I ordered light cheese, which I think the cashier and cook took to mean low fat rather than a small amount because my meal was laden with cheese. My husband, being a creature of habit, ordered the steak burrito, which unfortunately had no flavor this time around. It was as if the owner of the restaurant took a look at the Yelp reviews pertaining to lack of flavor and said, you know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna make everything even more tasteless and lackluster! The Green Enchilada has the potential to be an awesome little restaurant. They just need to get a little more experimental with the seasoning! read more

I have been here 5 times and have had a 4-star experience each time. Granted, I only go during lunchtime, and have only ordered the vegetarian burrito. But it's a very, very yummy burrito. They saute fresh veggies in a pan that is separate from where they cook meat. This is important to me since I'm vegetarian (y pescaterian). It's so exciting to have organic, yummy food! Because the seating is very limited, I think this place is best for take-out. But I definitely will continue to go back for more yummy veggie burritos. It's a bit pricey, but that's to be expected since you don't have to eat a bunch of pesticides and they use awesome biodegradable take-out containers. read more

I have been meaning to write a review for here because we had always enjoyed getting food from here. It's less than a mile from us and It's always been nice and fresh and relatively good. I would of rated it a solid 3 stars.....would have. That was until my husband just went there to pick up dinner for us. After waiting in line for quite some time to order he was abruptly and rudely turned away once he got to the cashier. She rudely said "we're not accepting anymore orders". What??? There are still a couple hours before you close, yet, No apology, no explanation, no exceptions. No worries lady, you will never be asked to accept our order again. I get it, your busy, your stressed out, whatever the situation may be. But there is no excuse to be so rude to a regular customer. There is no excuse regardless if someones a repeat customer or brand new. AWESOME customer service! Way to build a inviting place for the local community. read more

Food is awesome. The only problem I have with this place, I had to go back in the long line to get chips and one piece of tiny salsa stored in the fridge. No choices and very limited. I brought up the concern and it just ignored. It does not matter how good your food, customer service and experience is always on top of the list. Especially other Mexican restaurant in the area. Today was the third chance for the green enchilada. Unfortunately it was just as bad this time as the previous two times. The burrito we were served was cold, missing the rice (the standard veggie burrito request must have stumped them) the cheese was not melted at all and the tortilla must have come straight out of the pkg..not getting any steaming or heating before being filled??? The 1/2 chicken plate is nice but I would not consider this a "mexican" dish. Its a chicken from the market next door..no mexican seasonings that I could taste. Everything is very bland. My family just ate there and we are so happy that we did. We absolutely love that there is an organic place to eat here in Pacifica!!!The food is excellent and it does not make you feel all gross and heavy after words like some mexican food restaurants do. I ordered the chicken tamale plate and the presentation was really nice. The steamed veggies were a nice healthy alternative. My husband had the enchiladas and loved his as well. I never believed Mexican food could be bland and tasteless, but The Green Enchilada has achieved this, and the prices are outrageous. I got a Fajita Burrito and my wife got the Carne Asada Nachos. Both were so bland, and just not right, that we could not finish either. The cost for these two items? $20. I could have spent $5 at taco bell and gotten a much more authentic and tasty Mexican meal than at this pathetic excuse for a Mexican restaurant. I eat here at least once a week! The Pacifica salad is ahhmazzing! I'm not sure how organic it actually is but its nice to think that it is at least. I haven't been to all the taqurias in Pacifica, but this is by far my favorite. Best chips and "veg out burrito" with tofu and brown rice. This is real California fusion, folks, and mostly resembles that place on Valencia with the mango-ginger salsa. Not that they have mango-ginger salsa at the Green Enchilada, but you get the point. I would recommend this for vegetarians and those who love taqurias with a Cali health-conscious spin. read more

Happened to be on the highway close to Pacifica and late and hungry so next exit. We quickly Yelped to avoid the fast food that is plentiful around the exit and found this place. They were actually closing but had no problem with making food for 2 that we could eat in the actual place without having the feeling to be in the employees' way. We were hungry and it was convenient! We were going to Half Moon Bay but so was everyone else! We decided that Pacifica would do, but we weren't sure of our eating choices. After an afternoon on the warm, sunny beach, I googled *Mexican Restaurants in Pacifica" and located this one. We got there and the place is very unassuming. I decided to order carne asada because it was much less expensive than I am used to in our East Bay location. My partner ordered the nachos and decided to get them vegetarian--OMG!! Had I known that he was getting a grilled vegetable plate with some beans, some chips, lots of guac and a ton of vegies, I would have had that! I tasted his and it was delicious! When my carne asada plate arrived, I nearly croaked--it was SO big. The meat was super delicious and tangy. I highly recommend this place if you want good, tasty food for a decent price. I love the burritos, they are delicious. A great tasting burrito, the nachos are not bad either. But they tried to come out with this new dish called carne asada fries, this was the worst idea the ever had. First of all, in my opinion, carne asada fries are a southern cali thing. I had it before when i went to San Diego and it was good. So i go to this place and on the main menu they have the burritos, tacos..etc. so i order a burrito. Near the register the is a paper that says "carne asada fries $7.99". So my sister orders it, we bought it to go. When we got home she opened the box and she saw what appeared to be a pile of guacomole, and sour cream. So she digs underneath all that sour cream and guac and finds thick slices of potatoes on the bottom. She takes a bite of the potatoes and i hear a crunch. She looks at me and she spits it out. It turns out the potatoe they used was raw. So the cooks, sliced the potatoe up without cooking it. Yuck! read more

Four stars because it's fresh and you can tell they care. I could see a full tray of beautiful roasted tomatoes for the salsa they were about to make. They post the farms used for meats (Fulton Valley for chicken I remember). They're fruit juices are made with little sugar and it's with unbleached cane sugar. Excellent guacamole. There aren't many options as you're driving by this area so I will return for sure. read more

I found them by chance, and was apprehensive about it being tasty. Well, I ordered the veggie burrito and it was amazingly good! I have to admit, I usually like meat, but I didn't even miss it! Yet another Pacifica restaurant that has sooo much potential but doesn't quite reach it. They've gotten a lot much better since they first opened, but it still feels like a struggle to place your order at the register. They either don't speak English, or they don't speak Spanish. The communication among the team is incredibly frustrating to experience as a customer. I want to be able to walk in and order, not spend 15 minutes at the register figuring out how to order a chicken and beef taco. With that said, there are some things that are pretty tasty, tacos, burritos and you have to try the taco salad! I'm super bummed about the tamales and enchiladas. They just don't make the cut. I haven't ever had a tamale that was inedible until I came here. They taste like foil and have potatoes in them. I really wish they gave complimentary chips and salsa. There seems to be some confusion about this. We'll ask for them and won't be given them, or we'll ask for them and be charged. Get it straight please! They do deliver which is convenient, but you have to have a $25 min purchase. On the menu it says free delivery with a $25 purchase, what happens when your order doesn't make $25? Again mass confusion. They can't charge you for delivery, so they add on to your order until you make it to $25. I wish they would just charge for delivery if you don't make the min purchase. Oh, and you have to ask to add on to the tip. The delivery guy came to the door and we didn't have any cash. That was awkward, we couldn't add to the receipt and certainly didn't want to send him off with 5 lbs of change from the change jar. read more

I think it's ridiculous to pay for $10 for a burrito and on top of that , the staff has no customer service at all. They are very bland and have no life in them. The food is so so, but wouldn't return there at all. My rating could of been a 3 and a half but the poor lousy customer service i service brought it down to a two. The staff is rude. read more

Went here for the first time on my way home from the long Memorial Day weekend. I was hungry and saw this little place so I decided to give it a try. I got a regular shrimp burrito, $12. A little pricy but let me tell you it was delicious and organic. A little disappointed that it didn't come with chips and salsa like other places. Staff is super friendly which is always a plus. The manager is rude and does not care about her customers. I have been going there for years and she had the nerve to throw me out just for some complaints. She has to realize that the customer is ALWAYS right. I have ordered burritos many times and they were never done to my expectations. I have mischarged and when I ordered a superburrito, They made me a small one. Why would I want to be charged for a super burrito and it be sosmall and not done correctly.
