I think the name of this shop is very clever, but that said, the plant selection isn't that comprehensive, maybe only about a third of the total space. Inventory appears healthy, though as other reviews mentioned, prices are slightly higher than similar plant stores and nurseries. When I came on a Sunday afternoon, there was a workshop happening (the other two-thirds of the space), so classes are probably where the Green Place focuses most of their efforts I would guess. The associate up front wasn't friendly or unfriendly, but I also didn't feel compelled to leave with a new houseplant. Maybe if the occasion arises, it would be a fun spot to do a group activity - but personally, that isn't today for me. read more

I got into getting house plants lately and was super excited to see this place so near my home. They had a bunch of selections from what I saw with plants of all sizes and types. The plants I got were some Pothos, Dracaena, and Monstera. I loved that they explained to me how to take care of the plants. The team there also helped me select the plants that would be best for the amount of light that comes into my place. The average cost for the plants I bought were around $12-15 and I'd say they're about small-medium sized plants. As a bonus, they also partnered with another small business that offers pottery painting towards the back of the store. You could probably purchase a plant and then paint something to put the plant in. How cool! read more

Very disappointing. Read the reviews and wanted to check the place out for indoor plants and potted trees. In terms of service, I came in on a Sunday night. There was apparently a "workshop" going on. I browsed the plant area near the front, not one of the employees came to greet me or even acknowledged me with a "We'll be right there". Walked around the very limited plant displays, in terms of value, prices are marked up in my opinion. I was looking for some new plants and came across this place and loved it! I had called because I got a little lost based off the address and the photos I was referencing from old yelp reviews (now there's an ax throwing place where they used to be but they literally right next door... their signage is just not as big as it previously was) and over the phone, the lady seemed a little stand offish and I felt a little put off. But once inside, the only lady working front desk and the front side (so I'm thinking the one who answered) was super friendly and helpful - without being overbearing. There was some class and things going on in the back section and I assume another worker was back there so maybe they were who answered and they could have been super busy on that end. I didn't have anything in mind so we just circled a few times and I did absolutely end up bringing home more plants than expected but really happy with what I got. I feel the items were priced fairly well. It's a small spot but a must visit. The set up is utilized very well and a lot to see and pick from. There are also fun classes you can take with friends! Cute, well staged little indoor nursery/plant shop. Recommend if you're looking for a house or office plant. It's a small little retail shop so there isn't a huge variety but you should be able to find something! It might be a little pricier than a big nursery or grocery store but I doubt by much... some of the pots seemed a little overpriced but you kind of pay for convenience at that point. You can tell they take care of each plant very well which speaks a lot about their standard. I also appreciate they have little notes on (most) of their plants that tell you what kind of environment/lighting it is most suited for. This is a cute, decent sized store. It has a very relaxing atmosphere when you walk in. The employees were very nice and let me walk around and browse. The prices on the plants were very reasonable and they carry some cute and some simple pots. I took my dog with me (a chihuahua) but I don't recommend bringing a larger dog due to the setup (great for plants not as great for dogs). I can't wait to visit again! read more

One of the employees helped us pick out a plant as we were very lost for what we wanted to bring home. Our criteria was low light and low maintenance. Calling all plant lovers (yes, even you with the succulent that is barely hanging on to survival)! The Green Place is a quarantine dream come true--they have easygoing houseplants for you to start your plant collection to beautiful pots and plant enthusiast needs and more. Stepping into the Green Place was like being transported to a different world. Their variety of houseplants is simply amazing! I secretly wanted to take home all the plants on display in their cute little perfectly curated pots, but my bank account would simply never recover. It seems like the customers who frequent this shop are more avid plant moms and dads. I overheard two people discussing propagation and another couple trying to track down a plant they saw on the Green Place's social media. They seem to get lots of traffic too, given that it was fairly busy on a Friday afternoon when they just opened in August 2020 and covid times and all. I purchased a moss pole for my monstera and a macramé plant hanger for my neon philodendron myself. And, of course, I could not leave without another plant baby: a peperomia frost paired with a three-legged matte black planter (pictures to follow!). After leaving the surreal oasis that was the Green Place, I couldn't contain my excitement and immediately texted all my friends and family who are plant owners about this amazing little plant shop! No other nursery can come close to this place in terms of selection and their prices won't break the bank either. The only downside is that they only carry small- to medium-sized houseplants and succulents--if you're looking for outdoors plants and larger houseplants, this ain't it, chief. This is a lovely plant oasis located right in downtown Fullerton! The Green Place is my new favorite plant shop in Southern California! They have a large selection of indoor plants varieties in all different sizes. The staff were super helpful! A new plant shop in Fullerton?!? I had to check this place out! I came across The Green Place as I was strolling through Downtown Fullerton. I, like many others, got into the hobby of caring for plants during quarantine. Even with about 10 plants in my room.. how could I say no to more?? As soon as you walk in you are welcomed into a plant wonderland. Literally.. they're everywhere! The shop is very bright & there are a ton of options to choose from. What I particularly loved about their selection is that each plant had a label- some with their name & others with their name and short care instructions. I think this made my shopping experience a little more fun! I know that when I purchase a new plant one of the hardest things is determining how much water & sunlight it needs so these labels were a big help. Also: You are asked to sanitize your hands as soon as you walk in. Masks are required and all employees are wearing them. This made me feel safe to walk throughout the shop. Every plant looked very well taken care of. The staff are also so sweet! A customer ahead of me brought her son and after their purchase, the girl at the register let the boy pick out a little succulent to take home for free. I love witnessing little joys like this- I'm happy to see people care so much about their customers. I ended up leaving with 2 new plants- a Peperomia Pixie & a Tradescantia Fluminesis! My BF were in DTF and stumbled across this place. We were so happy to be able to check out all the beautiful plants & get ideas for our home. We were looking at the most beautiful Fiddle Leaf and one of the girls stopped and chatted with us. She was so extremely helpful, we told her how we think we might have over watered our Fiddle Leaf and she gave us a ton of advice on how to hopefully revive it. I really wish I got her name because she was so sweet and took her time chatting with us while the store was fairly busy. All of their plants looked so beautiful and healthy! The aesthetic in this cute little shop was just amazing & the customer service was superb. We didn't mind that the plant had quite a few dead leaves that needed to be pruned. But the girl who helped us gave us 20% off since we'd have to do it ourselves. I believe it's a family owned small business; the daughter mentioned her mom, who were both so sweet I wish I got their names! Which makes it even better to support. Love that there's a store that checks off everything I'm looking for when I go shopping for new plant babies for my home :) the owner, Jennifer, is very accommodating and is helpful as far as assessing what plant will work best for my lighting situation and the maintenance needed. I love the variety of plants, the labels on them that gives us more information about the plant, cute pots, and macrames. Overall decor is 10/10. I picked out a glass blown pot that was super unique, small plant, and a hanging plant with a macrame and watering tray that she put together for me. Love the whole setup of the store! It's super cute and clean. The place carries almost only house plants. I especially like how the plants have name labels and how healthy almost all of them were looking. Sometimes the condition is not up to par at some nurseries. Also they have minimal and contemporary looking planters. Downside is no drainage holes. They had plenty of the in demand houseplants such as crotons, snake plants, pothos, dieffenbachia, and etc. I was looking for a couple of specific things and they didn't have it but I don't blame them. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! I stumbled in here while visiting another shop in DTF. I told myself I wasn't going to buy another plant but OMFG, this shop has some really quality plants. Tbh, I love all the outdoor nurseries but sometimes I will look at a plant and I think to myself "I wish I can give this plant a bath" but this place, beautiful, beautiful plants and very well cared for in their possession. Luckily, I wasn't too tempted as I had most of the plants in shop INCLUDING the plant I ended up picking up but I couldn't pass up on an AMAZING exotica. Their price is pretty fair, it is winter so the shop was a little sparse and it didn't really help that I went on a Wednesday. The lady working was wonderful, she was so helpful and pleasant. She helped answer some of the questions I had for my plant at home as well. I still cannot believe how beautiful my exotica is. I recently discovered this place in Downtown Fullerton, and I absolutely adore this local business! I am just only beginning to delve into the plant world, and I think this is a great place to start. All the plants are arranged in a way that made shopping for plants so much more enjoyable. Plants are literally everywhere, and you feel as if you stepped into nature, really. They also have a wide variety of tropicals, succulents, and your essential house plants. So I recommend you carve out some time to look through all the options because there's so much to choose from! All the plants looked so fresh and well taken care of. :) This is also a great place to buy gifts from because so many people are hopping onto the plant train. They have modern and cute pots as well to go along with the plants. All the plants are labeled with the name of the species and simple guidelines on how to take care of it (light preference and watering schedule). That makes it so much easier for a buyer like me who's new to decide which plant I want to purchase. If the instructions are still vague, you can also do a quick google search on the spot to make sure you know what you are signing up for. All this can happen bc the staff members are thoughtful enough to label each pot :) Staff members are really sweet and helpful. Lately I've been getting plants I can keep in my room to liven it up a little, and upon seeing the raving reviews for The Green Place, I decided to check it out! I can say with certainty that this plant shop does not disappoint. They had hand sanitizer at the entrance, and the entire staff wore masks properly, which made me feel much more at ease in the shop. I appreciated that a worker constantly checked in on me to see if I was doing alright or if I needed any assistance. Their customer service is stellar, and the shop itself is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. They had a wide variety of plants to choose from, as well!
