I absolutely love this place im happy i found it. My husband went to the place across the street and got me a couple plants. Yes he only spent $42 but 2 of them had mealy bugs from the OTHER place and thankfully I segregated before adding to my collection. I tried to return and show them but they didn't seem to care. As I was exiting the other spot across the street, I noticed this place. I went in and they're NOT connected! My husband thought they were or else he would've gone. Coming here was the BEST CHOICE. So many options to choose from and all healthy with NO BUGS. im so happy I found this ace and its so close to home. They have more than 1 onf each which tells me they don't just buy. This has been a great nursery but recently I came here to purchase milkweed. They had it and before I purchased it I asked if the plants were pesticide free and the lady said yes. Well, since I've brought home the plants, most of all of my caterpillars have just dropped dead. Those plants were not pesticide free!!! Please beware when purchasing milkweed from this nursery. It may be cheaper than other places, but I guess there's a reason why. read more

I usually go to Whittier Nursery on Leffingwell, but this time I decided to visit Martinez Nursery because it's closer to my home. I was only looking for a few indoor plants, and I found the prices to be higher than at Whittier Nursery. I felt bad about leaving without buying anything, so I ended up purchasing two indoor plants for about $15. What disappointed me was that the owner asked if I was only going to buy those two plants. I felt that was inappropriate, regardless of the purchase amount. Every customer should feel welcome, whether they're spending $15 or $150. Amazing selection! Very friendly and helpful staff! The price of fall mums was a 1/3 of the cost I usually pay at Home Depot! I found this nursery when I ordered a plant off Etsy in 2023. The return address of the plant was Martinez and since I was local, I had to check it out. This place is amazing. I only go for succulents and their selection is outstanding (prices are VERY reasonable). They have lots of string succulents. String of Turtles are my favorite, but I can't keep them alive to save my own life. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. I was referred here by a former customer of mine, so I made it a point to stop in before my final decision of new landscaping plants and trees. This nursery is massive in size with a large selection of trees and plants for whatever you're looking for. Located down the street by the Buena Park mall, the nursery is located on the South side of La Palma Ave. Parking is conveniently located in front of the business, and they'll allow you to pick up larger items via your vehicle or stage your order for your landscaper to pick up. Customer service was top notch by Estela, whom literally spent hours assisting me in selecting King palms, olive trees, succulents, and CA native plants for my drought tolerant drip landscaping. My tab ended up being several thousand dollars, but even my landscaper said the product was top quality and at competitive price. I'm very happy with the service, variety, and pricing here at Martinez Nursery and highly recommended them. read more

Wow this establishment is so vast with a variety of plants ranging of small succulents and flowed to trees! I stopped by because I was looking for a gift for my grandmother's birthday gift. She has a nice garden and I wanted to give her something that would add color and spruce up her yard. We found a very pretty red flower (I forgot the name). There is a code on the side that can tell you more information. The lady who helped us at the front explained that watering it once a week was enough and direct/ indirect sunlight was good. We went around 2 pm and it was pretty hot! I recommend wearing shoes that you don't mind getting dirty because it is all dirt paths. And having sunglasses and a hat would be good too! I had a fun time exploring the area! I couldn't go through it all because if you keep going to the back the plants get larger and larger! Plus it was a hot day too The cost was also very reasonable and affordable. They accept card but cash is preferred, I highly recommend coming here if you're looking for a plant! read more

This place has very bad customer services. The plants you buy are at your own risks, live or die!! They will not honor any returns, refunds, nor exchanges even though the plants bought from their nursery died by no choice of yours and you did your best to plant and nurture them! Also, the pricing was not very attractive nor competitive. You are better off going to another nursery or Home Depot and Lowe's to get more bangs for your bucks and guarantee. read more

This is my first time going to Martinez Nursery ! They had a wide assortment of Succulents and Cacti ! So many choices ! The prices were very reasonable ! If you pay with cash no tax. I loaded up as I needed perlite, cactus mix and terra cotta pots. I also bought two Thanksgiving/Christmas cactus in two inch pots for $4 each. Cute nursery! They have a huge variety in houseplants, succulents and big landscaping plants. I have visited a couple of times and I always find new deals and new houseplants. Its always fun to see what they have in stock so I like to visit frequently. I enjoy walking through their house plant area, it feels like I am in a jungle. We bought a maple tree here and it's beautiful! We've had it for a month and it's still beautiful and healthy. They had a lot of different plants and options. We came for the roses and a lot of them were dry. Our maple tree came to be $20 or so cheaper than at Home Depot. read more

As a beginner plant mom, this place made me so happy. They have so many houseplant varieties in different stages of growth and it was hard for me to choose just a few for my home. All the plants that I saw were growing well and looked healthy. Prices were reasonable to me - a little more affordable than some other places that I've been to. They also have tons of pots (mostly terra cotta). Parking was a little tricky, but manageable. Prices vary, but my 4in plants were around $6-8 each & my medium rubber plant was $12. They only had a bag to give me though, so next time I think I'll bring a box to carry the plants in. read more

What a magical place for new and large array of plants to inspire individuals to work on their home. This is my now favorite and only nursery for me to visit in the Anaheim area. We constantly get compliments on the plants in our yard. They have so many plants to pick from, you will be here for hours. The property is hugggeee! I read a lot of reviews before coming here and was prepared for awful customer service and being yelled at for being a first time succulent shopper, but I got the opposite. To be honest, I don't understand where these reviews came from, I LOVED it here! I interacted with 3 different workers and they were all super nice and patient with me and my family! They have a ton of different baby succulents that had a price range of $1.25 - $5 I believe. We picked up 6 baby succulents and some other flowers and miscellaneous plants! I am so glad I took my family here today, we all had so much fun picking the best of the bunch and will gladly be coming back! It's obvious they work with contractors, but the staff spend time answering questions and walking me around to find the plants I was looking for. This nursery has a wide variety of outside plants, succulents, and trees, but their houseplant section is a bit limited. Succulents are priced at a cheap range ($3-7), but the houseplants are on the pricier side (typically $12-20) considering that this is a large nursery selling at "wholesale" prices. The indoor plants looked a little sad and wilted. For example, one peace lily was completely dried up and yellow, but because it was still alive, they placed it on the shelf. I understand that this is a big nursery, but most plants looked like they needed more care. I wished they would have labels as well. I am new to plant parenthood, so I cannot recognize simply by the way they look. I would want to look up the species of the plant that I am purchasing to make sure that they are easy to take care of. I considered buying a plant, but I didn't want to pay $15 for something with brown leaves with holes. read more
