Orders: Sausage Egg and Cheese biscuit: Unfortunately, they forgot the cheese so the biscuit was literally was sausage and an egg over hard (I ordered over easy). It was extremely dry but the flavors were there. I can imagine it would be much better with cheese. Cold Brew: Really tasty! Solid cold brew and quite strong. Bacon Cheddar Biscuit: I think I should have gotten this biscuit with my Sausage Egg and Cheese. It's basically a flavor bomb. Overall a great place for biscuits and coffee. We have eaten at this establishment before, but it was about two years ago. We were kind of disappointed they were out of their special savory biscuit. I know they change their menu frequently and have specials, but we were kind of bummed they no longer had their veggie sandwich. Our sandwiches were pretty good overall and we would get them again. The ambiance of this place was nice. Came in as I normally go to a shop down the road, but I really liked the vibe of this shop. It's tucked away in a place next to a nice barbershop, a lot of parking on the street and nearby areas. I got their Aquarius latte, which was great! The Greenhouse was right around the corner from the Beau Rivage where I stayed, and it was highly rated on Yelp. I decided to give it a whirl. I ordered the bacon & egg biscuit. Greenhouse specializes in biscuits and this one did not disappoint. It was moist and didn't crumble. Regarding the ambiance, its a small place with a few tables. A lot of peeps grab coffee to go. Greenhouse also offers a number of cookies made in house. The staff is super nice, and emblematic of Southern Hospitality. I felt very comfy here. The Greenhouse Café is a nice, clean spot with a welcoming environment. I tried their Aquarius latte, which was very sweet--maybe a little too much for some tastes. I also had the biscuits and gravy; while the dish was good overall, the gravy had a slightly sweet flavor that didn't quite match my preferences. The ordering process was simple--you seat yourself and place your order at the desk (at least that's what I did). It's a fine place to grab a bite or a drink, but nothing particularly stood out to make it extraordinary. Worth a visit if you're nearby, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

This is a great little place. It's small and the tables are close but it didn't feel crowded even though they were Saturday-morning busy. The wait staff were particularly cheerful and made me feel welcome. I was impressed with the large menu selection. Too much to choose from. I was reading the menu while waiting in line and it all sounded good. I finally decided on something and when I got to the counter BAM! there is a list of specials. Too many choices! I wound up getting a Winter Biscuit Special which was a biscuit with jam, bacon, goat cheese, and a fried egg. See the photo. It was fabulous, although the biscuit was a little dry. Equally impressive was the coffee. You can get a cold brew or a latte, but the regular hot brew was very nice. They make it in pour-over fashion, a cup at a time, so it takes a couple minutes to get it. Since they make it to order they don't do free refills, but mine was so good I willingly paid for a second cup. They offer a selection of coffees each day - espresso, light, medium, and dark roasts. The overall vibe was calm and laid-back and very welcoming. It's not the kind of place to hang out for hours on end, but there wasn't a rush to turn tables either. Highly recommended. read more

The biscuit gravy was great, not too salty. The eggs that came with breakfast plate were cooked just right. The owner ( I presume) was very friendly. The baked goods were nice too. We ordered a cookie and it was pretty tasty. Plenty of parking Cons: Chai Latte had too much cinnamon for my preference. It overpowered the taste of chai. The food can be a bit of a wait even though the place wars t packed. In summary, I recommend the Greenhouse . The biscuit alone was worth visiting. The sauce was perfect and did not overtake the meat and avocado.My husband stated his biscuit was really good and he knew it was from scratch. Decided to walk away from the casino in search of great local food! Pleasantly surprised when we stumbled upon this gem. The walk from the casino, was short. Upon arrival here, comes across as a folksy laid back cafe. A variety of food is available. Being on vacation we started off with Bloody Mary and Mimosas. Tap water is available self service. The cafe is small & limited seating. We arrived at the perfect time, no wait. There were other customers, many locals. Placed our orders and seated ourselves. Really surprised that the biscuits were so fresh, hot and tasty. The Sammy biscuit was spectacular never had a bacon cheesy biscuit that melts in your mouth. The sausage cheese biscuit was pretty scrumptious as well. My spouse was taken back by the sausage gravy. Being from the south this gravy jazz is still pretty hard to find. The people here, servers and customers were all friendly and helpful sharing places to see and where to eat. Bloody Mary was not the best nor the worse, however the food quality outweighs the drinks. Five stars despite a wobbly table and a roof leak on my table. Why? Because those are the kinds of quirks which characterize local restaurants. As a regular traveler, I'll try the local spot over a chain any day of the week. I haven't had avocado toast since leaving home on my current trip and I was was jonesin' for my fix and was so happy to discover this spot. I'm glad I ignored an earlier review on this item, because my experience was primo. The whole wheat toast based recipe featured avocado topped with fresh lettuce, capers, a delicious and generous portion of thinly-sliced salmon, and some vinegar, probably balsamic, drizzled lightly over it all. I would generously salt and pepper the avocado if I were preparing this dish, but the capers and salmon are salty, so maybe they think that is enough seasoning. Still, I loved it and would order it again and again if I lived in the area. Most of the offerings on the menu were not so healthy, but seemed thoughtfully conceived and prepared. The help was helpful and friendly as were the customers. The building is a cracker box, but charming and fun. Check it out! read more
