I never leave reviews so this should tell you how bad my experience was. I walked in to get a bag of coffee bean for my espresso machine at home. The two guys working had no clue if they even sold beans and seemed clueless as to what I was wanting. They were unprofessional and basically didn't acknowledge that I was even there. On top of that the music was absolutely blasting where you couldn't hear anybody even talking to you. Eventually after waiting for 5 minutes for them to figure out what was going on I eventually walked out, especially after seeing one of the guys was preparing people's food with his bare hands... disgusting. The space and decor is really cute and Insta-worthy, the coffee is solid, and the owners are insanely personable! While exploring Ocean Springs, the hubs and I stopped in and were smitten with the place. Of course, for me, it was love at first sight-- they have an outdoor mural too y'all, but I knew the hubs loved it when he took a sip, then wanted to stay and drink his coffee. Usually, he's a "grab and go" guy! He had a mocha, I had a caramel/vanilla latte, and they were delish. When the product is as good as the aesthetic-- it's destined for greatness! If you haven't yet, you should check it out. (And ask about the story of their vintage machine) We'll most certainly be back when we're in, or traveling through, the area! read more

Not sure why the other review was only three stars, this place had some of the best cold brew coffee I've had in a while, and anyone who knows me will attest to the truth of the supreme coffee snobbery I'm famous for. I rarely drink any but my own, except when I'm away from home. I chatted with Adam, the owner, who had a terrific concept for this little place that's been open less than two weeks. Very sweet interior, stylishly outfitted, and cool enough to drink hot coffee on a Mississippi summer afternoon. And this guy has spent years refining his coffee-making mastery. His passion for the stuff is pretty obvious, and his product is bound to only be continually perfected. My only complaint is the limited grab-n-go snacks. I rarely spend time in a coffee shop that doesn't provide nom-noms. But he did mention that a pastry chef is currently being considered to get set up with a proper non-nom case. Really, that's beside the point... at two weeks in, it's the coffee and service that counts, and Adam scored big on both counts. Diggin this guy, and diggin his fine, fine brew. I will definitely turn to The District for my morning fix from now on when I wind up visiting family in the Area. read more

I got the district breakfast burrito. I said no chicken or spinach. I waited 10 minutes and they brought out the wrong order. If you are willing to pay nearly $18 for 2 coffees (that aren't even filled up all the way) and wait 30 minutes to get said coffee then this is the place for you! The location on Government Street is perfect and it's a great place to stop in to grab a delicious cup of high-quality coffee before you shop or stroll down the beach. I had a fantastic cold brew with cream and it kept me buzzing all evening. While I was working on homework there for a couple hours, I watched the owner/barista treat each customer with care and greet them warmly. He even made an extra treat for a young boy who couldn't decide between caramel and chocolate. He left the shop with two drinks in his hand and a big smile on his face! I was hopeful but very disappointed I have been coming to OS my entire life since my family has 4 generations of deep roots there, and was VERY excited when they finally got a homegrown coffee shop. We ordered an almond milk cappuccino and americano and they both were TERRIBLE. The cappuccino tasted like he forgot the almond milk part (thankfully I'm not lactose intolerant) and the americano tasted like two day old drip coffee without the espresso shot. The two guys working the shop also looked like this was the last place they wanted to be. I'm really hoping we just hit them up on a terrible off day. I would love for ocean springs to have a great neighborhood coffee joint, but if they keep it up I don't see it hanging around for long. read more

There's a lovely patio located outside of this spot. Lots of kids were outside hanging out in groups unmasked. The decor inside was adorable. The vibe was very relaxed and beach vibes. Many inside were unmasked. I echo what some other reviews mentioned. Two men were standing up front, both unmasked, and both looking less than happy. I approached and ordered a cold brew almond milk coffee I also asked for an egg and cheese sandwich which wasn't on the menu. The guy said he could do this. I paid and sat with my coffee while I waited. Again it was very enjoyable sitting in the space. Mirrors were all over, cool signs and artwork. The guy brought me the sandwich, and I sat to eat it. The sandwich was super good. The bagel had some sort of sweet butter on it, I thought maybe maple butter. Overall, the food was great, the coffee was good, but nothing out of this world. The part which turned me off from this place was the unmasked guys at the front, one who was working who appeared less than happy to be there, who is making food, and interacting with many people. read more
