The ambience is dark and subtle, the music is piped in and sounds like tunes from the '70's and otherwise nondescript, the wait staff is very accommodating and extremely friendly. The food needs some serious CPR. The butternut squash soup lacks any flavor and the pumpkin seeds are not toasted enough and are more distracting than pleasing. A bit of sherry and a bit of salt would liven it up. The heirloom tomato and burrata salad was lackluster the truffle had no flavor. They get the basics correct, but the finishing touches are missing. The braised short rib empanadas are waaaay too oily. They need more sauce. The meat is tender though. The crab cakes are the star of the show. Ask for extra sauce and additional yellow pepper strips. They are not hot peppers, but they add just the right amount of crunch and flavor. The truffle polenta is more of a mushroom polenta. It's ok. The shrimp Linguine was good. The pasta was delicious and the shrimp were overcooked. Dessert was delicious. Visited a friend staying at the St. Regis for the weekend in November. Decided to have a no fuss lunch and the burger bar was a great option. I had the wagyu beef burger and truffle fries ($23). We loved the environment and had Angel as our server who was out of this world. We also enjoyed the extensive and well curated wine list and great recommendations from Dave the sommelier. We had the scallops to start and the ribeye with lobster tail and filet mignon for our main course. On the side we enjoyed the Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and the service could not have been topped. We started the evening with a educational wine tasting with Head Sommelier Dave Gerardu. I had the vegetarian burger, which they make the patties for in-house. It was delicious, the fries were great, and the staff was attentive and friendly. It was a very enjoyable lunch. But, it is not cheap, and if you aren't prepared to see luxury hotel prices for a lunch you may be shocked. If you are on a budget there are many less expensive lunch spots in neighborhood. I found it worth the price not because of the food nor the view, but having a peaceful and quiet lunch. A great addition to the St. Regis Bal Harbour restaurant lineup. A casual place whose bar has a great beer and wine selection. Two TVs to watch some sports which was sorely lacking from the Regis in past years. The burgers are cooked perfectly and the options to add are fresh and yummy. The hot dogs are great too, I recommend the kosher dog. The service is great. They recognized me the 2nd time I arrived and offered me the same beer I had last time I was in. It is not cheap, but it is a restaurant in a 5-star hotel so I assume you would know that already. read more

Was there the week they opened. It was a Saturday night and there was only one other table when we got there at 8:30 and we were the only ones there when we left at 10:00. Onion ring and fries were outstanding. Another thing missing at some burger places. Fries should be crispy not mushy and limp!!! We had drinks in the Regis lounge first then went for the burgers. It was a nice combo. The only thing i was unsure of was the decor which was a little Johnny Rocketish to me. So if you're wondering why 4 stars and not 5 it's the atmosphere. For such an upscale burger restaurant and in such an upscale hotel I thought the decor would be a little more upscale or even more on the cool side(wynwoodish). They can always work on the atmosphere, that's easy enough. The important thing to know is that you will get a great burger, fries, onion rings and beer. Oh and let me not forget the service was fantastic. Friendly and efficient. I also noticed a lot of guys in suits so I would guess they were managers. I like that, it shows an elevated attention to detail. When you have 3 suits running around to make sure everything was perfect it's a good thing and most burger places can't afford that. We went after watching Deco Drive. The burgers were excellent. You have the choice to order regular or Waygu beef. It was empty which was surprising as its in the St. Regis hotel. The onions rings were amazing, the truffle tater tots were okay, I personally like the truffle fries better. The server was really nice (Jake). The 3 stars is for the food! The restaurant is inside a hotel if you can't find it that is why. The people that stayed there were snobby. The whole place is super expensive but we wanted burgers and we wanted a quick bite before we headed to the airport. We finally got a table and there was only one other table in there eating. The server was so slow. We wanted quick burgers and we had to flag him down to order. When we finally ordered. We ordered our burgers, I got a plain hamburger and he got a bacon cheese burger with aioli and than the server asked us if we wanted fries to share because it didn't come with it. We said yes. The food came out and there was bacon on my burger and not my boyfriends. I had to take it off and put it on his. I had aioli I had to give to him and to top it off he gave us tater tots instead of fries( when he's the one who offered the fries) . The server who brought the food fixed everything for us and took over our table. I guess there was a shift change but the other guy was still there walking around. He NEVER came over an apologized for messing everything up. That really really annoyed me because he walked by a million times. When we asked for the check I double checked that the new server was getting the tip and not the other guy. For $110 for two burgers the service should be outstanding. After seeing the 4 1/2 stars reviews I figured, my family would give it a try. So here's how it went- Upon entering the nearly empty bar restaurant we were told we could sit anywhere we wanted, which we did, but then waited about 5 minutes while the 3 servers at the bar fiddled around with seemingly unimportant stuff while we watched and waited until our waitress finally came and took our order. She was nice and pleasant. We ordered 3 burgers, 2 medium and 1 medium well. All with various toppings. When the food came- 1 burger was well done and 2 were medium well. One had a topping not ordered and one was missing a topping that was ordered. All buns were burnt beyond recognition. I love a good toasted bun but this was ridiculous. But, we were hungry and ventured on to eat just for the sake of it. We also ordered truffle tots and onion rings. We were delivered fries and tots. They corrected this mistake as well as bringing the missing topping for the one burger. We also ordered 2 beers which were the highlight of the meal. Well, the beer and the sauces that is- the sauces were really good. The house special sauce and the aioli were awesome, but not awesome enough to save that food. So I'd say, go for the beers but watch how your burgers are done. This said- after speaking to management about our experience, they went out of their way to refund our dinner cost of $100+. So, I may give this place another try but not on this trip. read more

And yes, its in the St.Regis, but it lacks atmosphere because its in the former hotel breakfast room, and there was only one other table occupied. Great burgers, sides and sauces - veggie burger for me and chicken sliders for the kids. They have added several TVs so plenty going on. I didn't count, but I'm sure there were about 8, showing soccer, basketball and more. It was busy when we went (President's Day weekend) but the service was still fantastic - quick, efficient and friendly. Tucked inside the absurdly elegant St. Regis Bal Harbour is this tiny, retro burger joint. Complete with black and white tiled floor, red leather booths, and a real-live juke box, you'll feel like you just stepped into your favorite 1950's diner. The classed-up made-to-order burger menu (think: fois gras, waygu beef, truffled tots, the works) and elegant bar offset any hints of old school kitschiness that might tarnish that St. Regis edge. The restaurant was surprisingly almost empty, so my date and I felt like we owned the whole place. My sense is that the main clientele may be hotel guests, but it's a hidden locals' gem and I'm surprised more people don't go out of their way to get here. The more subdued ambiance added a degree of intimacy to the otherwise playfully casual atmosphere - a great combo if you want to watch the game AND ya know, still wine and dine your date. Other reviewers aren't wrong: the burgers are priced for their quality, but I'm going to assume you already realize that the St. Regis wasn't a McDonald's and leave it at that. read more
